Subnet ban:Dbanns a radius of the area around that place, so if the I.P did change... it wouldnt matter.

they keep mentioning FLAC as its a bettwer program i wouldent advise a switch they may know it better than hook also this happened in the past to my little test server its possable though unlikely other people more unsavory(mabye all those banned or others jelous) are doing this to us

Its supposidly a freelancer anti cheat system(Server side id assume). But if a hacker is telling you to use a certain anti cheat system then its advice which isn't coming from a believable source.

You can't go around banning ip ranges for the simple reason that you could also be banning inocent members of the community which use the same ISP.

I'm with you on this on Stucuk. You can't simply punish the entire crowd to stop one person, it isn't fair and it forces someone into a position of having to sort a situation they were forced into by actions not of their own.

Lets say you're enjoying your game and then, "Oh noes, haxors!" and you start dying. Now, the admins show up *plays superhero music* *People cheering* and they start smiting the hackers one by one. Then, all of a sudden, you go offline. When you try to log back in, it says "lollerz uz are banned!!"

So now what? You talk to the Admins, beg for them to unban your account, but they can't because the Hackers use the same subnet mask. "Sorry Capt., we can't unban you and risk having these hackers come back, you'll have to wait a few days."

Now don't tell me you wouldn't be at least a little hacked off. As Stucuk said, and his metaphor was the best..."Don't kill an ant with a rocket."

Why wouldn't they unban the specific IP of someone who always follows the rule?

And also, Abaddon, I don't really like your suggestion of rolling out the red carpet and welcoming these hackers to come back whenever they feel like it.
