Changes

Our Caussade drydock project is progressing at a rapid pace. The Royalist strays seem to have run out of steam and haven't been seen in weeks in Roussillon since

our explosive welcome

Frankly I am worried we will find any on our bomber raid with The Gaians and Fae we will no Royalists to murder and bond over.

Our Fleet of vessels got a big upgrade
Several now defunct Maquisard cells have given us a bargain and we now have ships spread out all over gallia. Talk to your nearest FLG Militry arm commander for your access to these old but still more than solid ships.

Resources and Bio-Stability monitors
It seems the GMS have some sort of a new massive hauling vessel

It seems that either the Union is not caring about leaving such large assets undefended, or that GMS are starting to warm up to our cause. They have donated thousands of Bio-Stability Monitors and took our thruth abut the Union.

The Monitors are amazing
1) We can use them to track our heroes, know when they are in trouble
2) The Royal Navy used to use them - maybe the Gallic Navy still does.
3) We should try to poison or hijack them - if we manage to taint these we could potentially gain intel on movements of our enemies, and failing that - simply poison and kill them. I will get our extremist arm on the job immediately.

The thousands we acquired will be on Eplessier.

Update.

Reward
First of all, The Front has been amazing - you did a great job in Orkney, Orlenais SHF raids, keep gaining contacts, keep disrupting the sinister Union, and the Gallic Royalist splinter cell threat was very short lived - it's been weeks since we have seen a single one of them.

I want to reward you for it. We had contact with a person who's establishment specialises in morale boosting endeavours, and hopefully soon you - our brave heroes of all sorts - can look for the distraction that might just get you ready for one of our upcoming operations. Look for one Charles and get ready to be entertained.

A wandering Captain
One of our propaganda spreading, resource generating freighters that criss-cross Sirius has encountered an unusual sight in a far flung system that lies even beyond Kusari. A captain that isn't so sure of our victory - he took his battlecruiser on a deep space mission to search for alternative habitable planets in case something goes wrong.

Our propagandiste hopefully persuaded the captain that all is not lost - we really are on a succesful path and hopefully he will return to join the good fight in Gallia.

That is all - contact Christopher Hunter if you want to let off some steam even after Charles' "delivery" - murder of some stray Royalists (if there are still any alive) will be on the menu.

I don't like these guys as much - Nikita, the pilot was whining about not being paid by the Maquis et cetera. The other guys seem to run on the same fuel as we do - Ideology a lot more but hey...Logistics is logistics.

I got myself a sample of Volgograd Ordinance - leaving it for you at Avon, check it out - if those guns armor and whatever other things I've seen in there are both useful and somehow compatible maybe we can get more of the stuff.

Subject:Quespekete - a new potential ally in need of protection.

The "old" Council is back?

We got a surprise lately. After years stranded in deep space the Council battlecruiser Quespekete found it's way back to Gallia after one of our Propagandistes urged the Captain to do so somewhere in the Sigmas. The Captain was not aware of any of the recent events, and currently is trying to re-explore the changed Gallia and what transpired in his absence.

The vessel is still damaged, in need of retrofit and armor upgrade and not combat ready - I would ask all Maquisards to protect the ship at all costs, so we earn the crew's trust and they decide to fly under our banner eventually for good. The captain did mention to be inclined to be favorable towards the Maquis cause, and does protect Pamiers - but still as a pre-treatchery Council member he could go either way.

Keep his ship out of high intensity combat, and only include him in direct operations once it's armor has been upgraded to up-to-date standards at the very minimum.

We ran into Quespekete while patrolling Gallia, looking for the Union pawns to send to hell. Instead we got an Orbital Spa and Cruise captain. I remembered the last indicent with them - I got very drunk on the magnifique food and booze I got from their Hilda while handing her propaganda, and proceeded to do things I'd rather not remember.

This captain personally told us that he believes in our cause of a liberated Gallia, but that their corporation has to stay neutral. We handed them propaganda, Quespekete got a box of Sake they offered to share at Pamiers and we were on our way.

Captured fleet admiral

We have then managed an incredible feat. While in the Provence system we have Captured a fleet admiral. If you ask me - the spreading of their forces will be the Union's undoing. Why are they even stationing fleet admirals and battleships in Provence? A system Corse controls anyways with their drug trade, their under the table support for us and Brigands and one that has mostly just resorts. But hey - they want to spread themselves thin and make it easy on us in other parts of Gallia - I am all for it. This fleet admiral will surely pay dearly, we have safely delivered him to our Pamiers' interrogators.

Nuance

I am starting to slowly change my mind on GMS. Yes, they will never be our ally because they are one of the biggest suppliers of the Union. We will never leave them to their own devices and stop targetting them for the same reason.

But they remind me a lot of the Corsicans and many Sirians. Looking after their own self-interests. It just goes beyond my understanding of the universe, I find issue with all groups that think like that. But they have been known to aid Council when we were their wardogs, and are open to actually show Maquisards the respect they deserve.

Don't get me wrong - we will still go after them, hard. If they refuse to cooperate and help our cause we will treat as we always have. But perhaps it is worth asking questions first and shooting later with their kind - as long as they are willing to share their resources ending their lives might not be in our best interest.

Because then the fucking EFL and IDF take over. And those fuckers need to die, every single last one of them. EFL for their total disrespect towards the Maquisards and cowardly security arm, and IDF for their unyielding love towards the Royalists, even at a massive expense and detriment to their business dealings.

Now it's time for me to barter the Molybdenum ore the GMS miners provided for us under only some veiled flashing of my ships armaments for some valuable supplies. I am not saying that you should think twice if GMS people will fall as collateral damage if they happen to be next to our Union targets - we are Maquisards afterall, let our fancy ex-Council commanders in our military arm worry about that. But I recommend to treat them with greater restraint than you would their IDF and EFL counterparts.

Mesdames, Messieurs, bonjour!

Ah, conditionnally accepted. Hah! I knew something like that would happen -- hey! That's better than nothing! Anyway.
We received your erm, "observers". Good thing we had a lot of free space! Anyway, I'm sure you know they're safe and sound, and are pretty comfortable here.

First proper operation of the Vaisseau de Guerre Émilie. We did some stuff in Zurich, Picardy and elsewhere but hey, my XO wrote this small document to explain what we saw, ah, thanks! Can't be arsed with that kinda crap!

*Ahem*

The Émilie, normally docked at a classified station, moved from there to the Zurich system, to investigate rumors we heard previously about a foreigner gunboat that entered in Gallia.

As we arrived in Zurich, we discovered two vessels belonging to the Marine Nationale Gauloise. A fighter and a destroyer. We remained at a (very) safe distance, about 10 clicks away. The rumors about the gunboat were true, however, they made us question the fiability of our IFF system. This has been noted on the ship's logbook and we should revise the IFF system soon, with the scanner. The IFF detected the gunboat as "Pirate", we don't know if it's deliberate or not, as it is a Rheinlander gunboat according to the scanner. Its captain, or pilot, claimed that they didn't enter Rheinland back since 30 years.

This is trivial and should not be considered as tactical information. Pirate gunboats are common, especially in independent worlds where two Houses share a system (Zurich). However, we may now know more about the whereabouts of the Marine. Zurich is very much still a strategic place for Gallia, as it is the main way to Rheinland and the "Southern" Sirius sector.

We also discovered that the Marine was just as oblivious as the rest to the Sirian matter and history, especially about the Nomad War. I really wonder where everything went wrong. Perhaps should we realize intel. gathering operations in Sirius, to gain an upper hand against the Gallic forces.

However, we learned that a GSB vessel arrived in the Zurich system. Must've been called by the MNG. A Freelancer, on a bomber, also appeared and actively chased us. A Hessian gunboat appeared approximately when we arrived at the Oerlikon Stellar Observatory. We hailed and warned them about the multiple hostile vessels nearby the IDF jump gate. It proceeded to turn and move back to Cologne, where we witnessed a sizeable contingent of Hessian vessel posted at Tholey Station. The Hessian gunboat implicitly escorted the Émilie to Tholey Station where we briefly halted. Satisfied with the gathered intel, we decided not to engage those who chased us.

New Places.

We are running out of places to sell Military salvage - there's so much of it that we discard after using the broken Council tech we have no choice but to find new places to exchange it for what we need. Today we actually had a vote! And The Front Maquisards decided for a new flavour - the Inverness system. We got tipped off that the Inverness junkers might pay handsomely for the discarded Salvage. And so we went.

Five of us in total - myself, Louis Fontaine, Balian Remi, Albert Leroy and Hyppolite departed on a long journey. It was long and strenuous, but strangely familiar.

We encountered the greedy Junkers that paid well for the salvage.

Moved through asteroid fields,

were chased by Outcasts, and met some ignorant Sirians in the 46th and 5th fleets - they seemed to be blinded by their petty local regulations and bureocracy rather than the diaster to all people that brews in the form of the Gallic Union. At least one LSF agent seemed to have some sort of an idea of what's going on. After trying my hardest to damn convinvce my fellow Maquisards not to get ourselves blown up, some of us had to drop the black market light arms, while our biggest transport made it through unscathed.

At least I tried to hand out words about reality of Gallia, but honestly - I am afraid that much like with many Sirians we encounter it fell on deaf ears of the local Navy.

That's what I want to see - great gains for The Front, instant response from a fellow Maquisard when called upon, clinical execution.

Albert Leroy along with yours truly have acquired 4195 units of Military Salvage from the GMS. Who were kind enough to just prepare it us, free of charge, while admiring Leroy's loaded guns and torpedoes from up close.

Please ramp up your activity in Lorraine - we need to put the highest priority on blockade of any food shipments from the Union. If you encounter any Gallic corporate ship with food on board try to capture it and move it towards Maquis Brigands or Corse bases for repurposing. If they resist - kill the crews to the last man and destroy the cargo. Also Protect the Sirians we have hired but do not make it obvious they are in our employ until after they have finished their contracts.

Amiral please start mobilising your vessels - our strike might take several days, but we should buy you enough time. We do not yet know the exact date when the massive swift operation will take place - that depends on the Sirians we have hired, but it should be within weeks to several months.

Balian Remy
Please personally oversee the completion of Caussade, be ready for our prizes that will need to get worked. We will also need large contingents of towing vessels and engineers with Amiral Louis Guillaume's force when the time comes. It will not be easy and your people will be stretched to the maximum, but the sleepless nights will be little price to pay for our victory.

I got notified of a Gallic Metal Service Barge in Picardy system. After a long chase in battletransport Carapace, I finally managed to catch it in Ile-de-France, near the main nest of Union vermin. After scanning its cargo and short conversation, I managed to acquire 3 thosand containers of Bio-Stability Monitors, which I proceeded to deliver to Caussade for screening and distribution to medical facilities on our installations. As the Barge's captain was very cooperative, I also handed him without any trouble the information about several recent Union's atrocities. That should further reinforce his willingness to help our cause.
