Apparently. Molly fighters swarm the place, aimlessly shooting at the tradelane which still belongs to their foes. Its fishy, I know.

well, Im not sure what all changes you have made as I never really kept up with this thread. But Mollys are Allied with Bretonia, they (if Igiss knows about the treaty) will also be lawfull in 4.85. As well, I have begun a trading arrangment with Liberty for gatelane parts and ships parts. I believe there should be some TLs and maybe stations added to Dublin. As we are now a country of the Sirius sector.

Given that KGL is being given safe haven at Arranmore, I would not be surprised to see either (1) Lord Mountbatten content himself with Dublin, if the Mollies will have him, or (2) Carina's fleet to be knocking at your door soon. I wonder how long the independence will really last.

Should be interesting RP!

Seeing as there are a few Mollies not so happy with the treaty (as well as people like the KGL needing a home) it might be an interesting idea to have the existing Molly bases become the Molly Republic (or whatever you've named it) and a few new ones be put in as sort of a Molly rebellion... not necessarily a big group, but since Bretonia is neutral to the Outcasts, the Lane Hackers don't do too much outside of Manchester, and the Mollies will be lawful, the Junkers are already quasi-lawful, the Gaians are small and not terribly concerned with anything other than Planetform, and the Corsairs seem to not draw a rousing response whenever they attack, Bretonia will become unbelievably boring. Its sleepy enough as is even with the war on and without an actual unlawful presence that is determined to do some serious rabble-rousing, there will be no reason to go into Bretonia at all, short of saying "hi friend" to everyone around.

If not a Molly rebellion, perhaps some new faction convinced that the government is selling out to the criminals and really doesn't have the people's interests at heart- a group that would take special offense to the existence of the Molly Republic, the way BMM treats people on Leeds, and just the nice, pleasant way Bretonia operates as a whole. Otherwise its probably best to scrap the treaty, sorry to say... Bretonia is a neat place, but without a real enemy from within everywhere but the front lines withers and dies. I don't want to see that happen.

... maybe turn the KGL into the old Mollies?:P

Give them a single Dunkirk somewhere and base it out of there.

we already have a Molly rebellion, the O'Mally family is rebelling against the treaty. In light of this Ive been kissing everything I can find to try and keep relations with Bretonia good.

Oh yeah, the O'Malley family... that's a whopping six people. A fair start, but when I brought it up to Unselie she offered to fix the treaty to give them what they want to. "kissing everything you can find to try and keep relations with Bretonia good" is exactly what I mean, everyone is doing that and since they've started Bretonia's activity has gone from low to nil. What we need before the Mollies become fully lawful and stuff like Jacob's boys becomes unacceptable is a faction that absolutely cannot win. A faction that wins is a faction that dies- the UoG won and as soon as they did their membership went "plunk" and dropped to zero. A serious, internal splinter group needs to pop up, more than just the O'Malleys. They could be part of it after it gets rolling, but something needs to happen. Any ideas?

The UoG was NEVER terribly active, just like most of bretonia..it didn't die at the treaty, the treaty gave it a good spark of life for a while, and then it lost 3 leaders in a row. Bang.
The UoG, historically, has been a ressurected faction multiple times, with new UoG rolling in and being interesting, and then interest dieing out, or their members leaving the server. They've a war with the Corsairs, the IMG, the Gaians, and the KNF, now..and beforehand, during their last activity spike, they were incredibly kind to us, long before we started talking about ending the war. We were chilling. I honestly don't think the QCRF ever had a fight with them, nor the QCP, and I think that started because of the Harris minefields, and I don't remember a time when they weren't there.

I just want to be clear, this peace treaty really hasn't affected their activity.

Bretonia has a lot of peace, but it also has a major war on its hands, and plenty of enemies. I don't think our politics is making us less active. I think, at the opposite, that its giving us something to do, other than log on and kill something, then log off.

That said, I'd like to see another active criminal group. Perhaps step up the Gaians a bit, or toss in a new one....some sort of nomad cult based around the Newcastle Edifice could work, and that leads me to the rumors about wilde incursions into Cambridge...and me wondering if that will ever happen.

Okay, we weren't ready to reveal this just yet, but several of us have been talking (rather specifically) about a new unlawful faction or RP group in Bretonia. This would be a populist/workers' rights group, dedicated to overthrowing the monarchy and the industrial complex that supports it. We're already discussing a backstory and organizational structure.

(As individuals, we had already been thinking about this when Jazz restarted UoG.)

Anyway, we need a base of operations, so we were hoping for Mull and Belfast in Newcastle. We were going to RP that the Mollies/Mollys there were totally dissatisfied by the treaty, feeling that UoG had paid too high a price to become independent. They didn't have much they could do about it, but they agreed to host our group. We would then be using Molly ID and associated ships. Also, we'd need to RP that somehow they were still getting gold into Belfast for processing, so we have something worthwhile to trade.

We are already into working this out, so give us some time, and I think we'll have something quite interesting for all involved (plus, given our Molly affiliation, we'd still be hostile to Gaians, so no duplication there).

Please PM me if you have any questions. Hopefully we'll have some RP in the forums and in-game within the next week or so.
