I made a clean installation of freelancer and freelancer discovery.
When i am in the multiplayer section in the game, i choose the discovery server, then my newly created character.
Then i get this message : picture
I can play single player tho.
What is the problem?
I have to add that i added rules to my firewall on the freelancer.exe (discovery).
Also, Discovery is fully patched.
Also, i am on Windows 10 Pro, fully updated.

If you can play single player as in, start the Campaign missions etc, then uh, Discovery is probably either not installed correctly, or some other problems I have no idea what they could be
I have reinstalled everything already and it gives me still the same thing.
Also, it is not the single player campaing of FL that i have, instead i am at manhattan at level 29 or something and i can do some missions thats all.
So still no idea what to do.

- Uninstalled all version of .net from both the windows features and installed programs list.
- Removed the 2 features
- Uninstalled Freelancer and Discovery
- Restarted the computer
- Installed all versions of .net
- Installed the 2 features
- Restarted the computer
- Installed Freelancer
- Restarted the computer
- Installed Discovery
- Patched Launcher
- Patched Discovery
- Restarted the computer
Then i launched Discovery, trying to connect, got to character selection and after selecting it, got the same message as previously.
I even had the prompt from Windows Firewall to allow connections from private and public networks on the program, which i granted.
So i dont know what the problem is but i had like some help please.... could it be the firewall?
OK so i tried with both my firewall disabled (Windows and internet box) and with AVG Antivir disable.
It doesnt work.
I get the same message.
I have no idea what could be the problem because the laucher works fine, while ingame it finds and display the Discovery server but it says the connexion crashes, any idea? I really want to play Discovery
even though you disabeled your virus checker, you need to
enable viruse checker
got into your checkers "add file or folder exception options"
add the complete folder AppData\Local\Discovery Freelancer 4.91.0
click ok, accept or whatever you use
then restart comp
try again
what could possibly happen is, as the folder was not previoulsy added to the exception list, your checker could of deleted a needed file
but now its added if youv done that, reinstall disco again, your virus checker "should" now ignore it, and not delete the needed files
