Yeah, well... all started once my old Photobucket account died after over 15 pages of nonsense (mostly FL screenshots plus my huge 5 MB signature ). Then, I got a new Photobucket account. The only thing I put on it was the 5MB sig, my Fantasmas account (Vince.Piccio) sig/avatar, and the Calvin and Hobbes spam stuff. That one crashed after 2 pages...
Now I'm using Dropfiles.net, and it has this convenient bar to the side that says how much bandwidth is being used. After 5 items (one being the 5MB sig, but everything else is 120KB or smaller) it's saying that I'm at 4.8GB of 5GB used... lolwut? Can anyone explain this to me?
You said one of the items is your signature? You linked it this forum, so consider this: at any given time there are at least 15 registered people posting in it and refreshing it, 20 guests viewing it, and hundreds of instances of search engine bots indexing it. And you supplied almost 2000 posts to it, that means that there is a very high possibility your signature is being displayed in any of the topics, and is downloaded most of the time from your server (since IE for example refreshes images based on the age of the cache and not by comparing it with the last modified date of the cached one).
5gb of bandwidth is nothing Zapp, my less than popular website eats about 100gb each month, and this forum gets tons more hits than that:P
