The recent activity surrounding Sudbury has become a subject of attention of many parties - from pirates to dissidents, from preachers to skeptics, from independent scientists to intelligence agencies. Each attempted a diverse method at cracking the anomaly, to no avail of course, yet some remain adamant.
A survey liner SL-40-8830, codename "Hades", was LSF's attempt at deciphering the Sudbury Anomaly. However, in the middle of their operation, the contact with the liner was lost, with no concrete evidence pointing at the local criminal elements. Recon conducted after the Liner's disappearance suggested that it simply ceased to exist, and while that outcome was debatable, the mystery surrounding Sudbury could mean that any hypothesis had a right to be true.
A week later, the department in charge of the survey operation received an automated distress call - SL-40-8830 has resurfaced, though not anywhere near the vicinity of Sudbury, but in Hudson. Its reappearance was heralded by an unusual hyperspace distortion, an abnormality that spiked interest of more than LSF, but as well as their rivaling agency from Rheinland.
Not a few hours later after its arrival, SL-40-8830 was already discovered by Marinenachrichtendienst and the thralls within their ranks. A small wing that caught whiff of the Liner was not at all fit for towing duty, though it was able to deduct that the "Hades" was indeed a property of LSF. With its life support depleted, the crew deceased and propulsion systems rendered non-functional, the only intact part of SL-40-8830, apart from its structure, were the databanks. Under normal circumstances, vessels with such sensitive material would undergo self-destruction upon reaching critical condition. How and why SL-40-8830 did not self-destruct is just another question, with an answer confined to its data storages.
EVENT SCENARIO
SL-40-8830 Is a Liner that must be escorted out of the system. It will have no mounted equipment, no assigned IFF. It can only move at impulse speed and it will proceed straight to the Jump Gate of any side that has it in possession, In order to assume control over the liner, one of the sides must completely eliminate the other or reach a severe advantage in numbers.
Liberty Forces have to do the following:

1) Intercept Rheinland Forces and assume control over SL-40-8830.
2) Escort SL-40-8830 to Texas while preventing Rheinland Forces from capturing it.
3) In case if operation is deemed too risky and too consuming, bombers from Liberty Forces will be given the order to destroy the liner.
Rheinland Forces have to do the following:
Code:
1) Intercept Liberty Forces and assume control over SL-40-8830.
2) Escort SL-40-8830 to Hamburg while preventing Liberty Forces from capturing it.
3) Rheinland Forces won't know when Liberty Forces will be given the order to destroy the liner, but they must prevent that from happening.
EVENT RULES
- Have fun and let the others have fun. This event is meant to be lengthy in its duration, so no need to sweat over every fight.
- The Combat Zone is defined by an area of 17k around the Liner (as long as it has you in its contact list.) Ships leaving the Combat Zone are considered as DEAD .
- Respawns are enabled and are to be conducted in wave format. Dying players must gather around their respawn point. When the majority of their forces are eliminated, that side will be allowed to return to Combat Zone. How and when the wave may re-engage remains to discretion of the referee who is also going to be flying the Liner - the group will be notified via the /gm command.
- Skillful players are kindly asked not to draw out their survivability. If the majority of your team is dead, you can die and return with the others. Don't be that guy.
- Possession of the Liner will not affect Respawn Rules.
- If LSF are successful in destroying the Liner, the Respawn Rules return to normal.
- Once the Liner is out of the system, the Respawn Rules return to normal. The combat may not proceed outside of Hudson.
- For both sides, docking on any base in Hudson is FORBIDDEN.

- Rheinland Forces Respawn Point - Carrier Soltau
- Banned equipment: Cloaks, Jump Drives, Matrices, Scorcher Bombs. (you may have them equipped but you may not use them)
- For Fighter Slots, only Defenders and Valkyries are allowed.
- For Battlecruiser Slots on Liberty side, Akhetatens are allowed.
- Only Registered Participants may participate
- Permitted IDs: LSF, Liberty Navy and OFs,MND and OFs, Rheinland Wild and OFs.
- For purposes of remaining Covert, Rheinland Wild can only use Human equipment
- For purposes of fairness and due to lack of apparent playerbase, Liberty Forces are allowed to register Liberty Navy ships.
- For Capship slots, Priority registration is provided to Official Factions. For Liberty slots, priority provided to LSF and LN OFs.
- Sides will be regulated. If one side lacks the numbers, the other will be asked to reduce their own or switch.
