Our "front" is Escort ships for Traders.
We help Liberty because we get a lot of escort business in NY. That is why we hang out there.
When business is slow [\JG/](ic) ships start running convoys and hire JG escort fighters. Trust me we know how to keep busy.
Just an FYI, Most of JG secrets remain secrets and are not revealed till we believe you are ready, at which point you are directed to make a "bad guy" character to deal with "good guys". [\JG/] tagged ships help bad guys in ways which are not so open to others. I'd rather not discuss here. Become a bad guy and find out.
What faction tag did you have on you when he attacked you (I don't mean ingame tag, but whether you were a member of a hogosha faction of players) ? and what was his reasoning? I am curious. Was there a bounty on your head ?
It was indeed a bounty, and I had a Hogosha tag + ID, of course.
I have nothing against it, but don't expect my Hogosha to treat you friendly now.
That's all.

It is every Corsair's responsibility to die a beautiful death in defense of Crete, regardless of how OORP or how capwhoring the opposition is. Launch your fighter, joust the battlecruisers and die a beautiful death. Then, drink it down in the bar.
So, if I get this right, the JG live in some kind of political vacuum where none of their actions can or should be counted against them because they're Zoners who kill people for money.
Just so you know, Snowman as well as Sandman were only active in the JG for about a week before going MIA. I haven't seen them in probably a couple of months. Mayhap he went rogue before going dormant.
And umm... I'll let Dali handle Dusty. Sarcastic un-productive and anti-constructive questions have a tendancy to mess a bit with my reasoning skills.
if the JG has a full schedule contract table, they are doing a good job for a mercenary guild. - that is mostly cause they are also very confidencial and quite. what i like about the JG is that they haven t "pissed" anyone off ( based on their RP ) to be kos ( other than some equipment thingy, which is - from my point of view a rather feeble excuse to kos someone, to question someone - yes... but not to kill or threaten )
from what i gather ( which is not much, i daresay ) they haven t taken up any side ( unlike the AW or the mandalorians ) and publicly announced ther allegiance with the groups. they have been offering their service neutrally and mostly professionally - much like "no matter what past we had, we are now only working on the future ( the near future )"
however - that is what i gather from what i see and hear.. and i do not have much contact with the JG. - when i see them, they are / appear to be just active enough to be present. their traders work OK - and for what its worth - i have no problem with a mercs trading fleet ( i would be positivly surprised if more factions revealed their money sources like that - AND took the risk to live with the consequences )
now, the negative things i gathered:
the JG appears to be - just like the common zoner - rather lost. the only times i see the JG in person is .... tadaaa.... in manhatten orbit. - i know its not really too exiting, but since you are zoner affiliated to a basic extend, i d expect you guys to hang out a little more at the freeports or make patrols.
i don t do it often - but there isn t too much to do anyway - but once in a while, i take my ship and simply pay every existing freeport a visit on a "all around sirius tour" - which is quite funny ( ahh, as a zoner you think looking a a pebble is already funny and dead exciting )
more zonerish diplomacy - more contact with the council maybe would be in order.... but like i said at the beginning. - if you actually DO have contracts running, you appear to fulfil them quite without angering many people, which is.... after all - a positiv thing.
so from a RP point of view - the more contracts you fulfil - and the less we know about it, the better the RP. thats how i sum up the RP of a neutral mercenary group - simple after all.

Is that the tall and short of it?
I think Jinx has already pointed out that we do our best to stay neutral, if we happen to become fully KOS to any faction then so be it, we will have to accept it and deal with it the best we can. We carefully pick our jobs to see if we can keep our behinds as neutral as possible.
Yes I admit, we are a lot in Newyork but that has one specific reason, a lot of our jobs(and actually our prefered job) is escorting. Most server activity(especially those people that hire us) have their traderoutes start and or terminate in newyork. As such newyork has the biggest market for escorting.
We try to keep ourselves updated with everything that happens in the counsil. In the past member pipsqueak(pixie to some) has been occupying our seat within the zoner counsil, since he has retired from his diplomate role he might also have abbandonned his position within the zoner guild. We currently have ongoing talkins within the Jupiterguild counsil to see who will take his position and/or if he will keep his liasson position.

Now, say ORMCO works out a weapons deal with a shady Russian who happens to own a warehouse full of post-Cold War weaponry. ORMCO mercenaries then go to battle for the United States. Now, wielding an AK-47 (or 74 if they're classy) does not make them a group of hostile Russian revolutionaries bent on the downfall of the States. It just means that they by some means or another dealt with a shady Russian ex-revolutionary.
The del Cids are hardly run of the mill guns available to everyone like AK-47 are. They're the Corsair's pride gun, our baby. The AK-47 were sold to anyone who had enough cash, so if someone had an AK47, it would be like someone with a debiliator, who knows where they got it? The del Cid is more specialised, if you have it, you got it from one place, and one place only: Corsairs. Sure you could buy from dealers, but not enough to equip a whole faction.

If you think you're worthy of them, make a formal request for them, don't just take them for granted and buy 'em. You're neutral/friendly on good terms with the Corsairs, not allies. Even the CR, our allies, when they need del cids, ask before they buy 'em.
JG has contracts, we do alright for ourselves by fulfilling these contracts, whether they be escorting or assassinating.
A large majority of our profits are indeed from escorting, rather than assassinating and I must admit a great deal of thought goes into accepting which bounties we fulfill.
The feedback in this thread has been highly intuitive and as we speak, things are changing in the JG. Soon enough, all the minor RP aspects will be sorted out - it's a difficult situation to be in that's for sure. I think I speak on behalf of the JG when I say that in the end, the RP of this clan will be somewhat unique - yet still in the good manner and standard of Discovery.

Might I remind you that we have already made a formal deal with the Benitez about the delivery of the del cid weaponary. Don Carlos Benitez or one of his close trusties can verify that. When we fly into gamma we also announce ourselves and our purpose, if it is to buy weaponary we make sure a benitez operative is present and has given permission.
