Core vs Order • Omicron Delta • 10 May. • 18:00 UTC
SYNOPSIS
When Omicron Zeta burned to the ground - the Core and the Order returned to their homes and began to prepare for the worst.
The Nomad invasion of Zeta was sudden for both sides. Both for the Order, who were too concurrently occupied with the defense of Omicron Mu, and for the Core, gripped by a thirst to test their technological innovation that had went out of control. Mars has come under AI control, Capetown and Cairo have been destroyed, and now the last stronghold for The Core is Omicron Delta. The planet Nauru is literally surrounded by enemies on all sides and, even with the brilliant operation of the Core and Zoners in Omicron Kappa - the danger is higher than ever.
That's when the Core commanders sprang into action. One by one - units of different tonnage and with different tasks began to surround Nauru, waiting for further orders. When the rotation of forces was done, the new task was to weaken the Order forces in Omicron Delta. One of the Core main enemies must lose their beachhead in this system in order for them to have an advantage. It makes sense strategically and tactically. If the Order pressures Nauru, it will have far worse consequences than losing Mars.
Core prepares for their move.
Meanwhile, the Order's cantonment troops on Dabadoru were doing roughly the same thing. The remnants of the Zeta forces that had arrived had only recently received all the supplies they needed to get back into action. The Order also began to build up their influence in the system, watching to see what actions their enemies would take. Mistakes, this time, are unacceptable, and they gaze out into the cold space to meet the blow with dignity.
One by one - Core units start raiding Dabadoru.
Notified of the enemy's approach, the Order's forces begin to intercept the enemy ships. An ordinary battle with saboteurs turns into a fierce battle, and now the Nauru and Dabadoru commanders are thinking about upping the ante and winning. Even after all the losses in Zeta, Kappa and Mu, both sides are determined to see this through.
Details of the event:
The battle will begin in D6 between the fighters of the Core and the Order. The first thirty minutes of battle will be without respawn restrictions, you will be able to return to battle immediately after dying. Once the thirty minutes are up, an announcement will be made in system chat, and respawning will revert to the classic one-hour cooldown. After the half hour mark, the Core and Order will send their capital ships into battle.
Core task: destroy the Order ships.
Order task: destroy the Core ships.
Once you see the reds on the radar, you can safely drop lines and open fire. The main thing for you is not to get lost in time. After the thirty minute marker has been hit, all ships have one life and once dead, can't return to battle.
Objective of this event (in the end) is to be the last team standing, depending on which side wins, will affect the outcome of the event.
Event rules:
You registered - you participate. (If you cannot participate, find a buddy who can do it for you)
Permitted ships: HF-Bombers for snubs that are registered, registered ships for caps only.
D6 is location of battle, first half hour is the infinite respawn snub fight, second half hour caps show up and everyone has one life as normal with one hour respawn timer.
No restocking. Even with the death timer disabled during the event, you must not leave the battlefield. Accept death and return from the respawn point.
Cloaking/jump devices are prohibited.
The battle will take place in a two-group format. The first group is fighter pilots who will fight without respawn timer for 30 minutes. The second group are all the capitals. The second group will join the battle of the first, so no one needs to leave the battle.
Once you die after the half hour mark no matter your ship, you are considered pvp dead and out of the event. Last team standing wins.
EVENT RESULTS: - The commanders of both strategic points of the Core and the Order stood over holo-maps and pondered the final battle.
For Nauru, relying on already experienced pilots who had just returned from tours of duty from the farthest reaches of the Omicrons made far more sense than throwing new pilots to the slaughter. As the fires of battle around Dabadoru began to blaze, the planet's commanders sent their forces into the weakest point of the Order defensive perimeter to gain an advantage. The clash at the tactically important point ended in a Core victory.
And although the Order could have sent ships into the “breach,” it didn't happen. Considering that further transfer of reinforcements would only create a “quagmire” from which the capital ships of the Order would not be able to get out. Dabadoru decided to repel the rest of the attack, and then - to go into a deep defense. This is what actually happened, and now if the Order operations will continue, it will be in a somewhat restricted format. It will have to achieve the status quo, otherwise, the Core will be able to compensate for previous failures with new victories.
