Multiple ships?

Can we have multiple ships? Google Gemini seems to think this mod allows us to have 7 ships on 1 character.

I am trying to figure out how to use the ship docking modules and if I can dock a couple ships to mine and fly them as snubs. Also can I dock ships and have them be AI controlled or is that just the carrier class with drones?

If so, how do I get the ships into my mothership bays since it makes me sell my old ship when I buy a new one.

Google Gemini is an idiot. Ask real people, I'd recommend.

You have 7 slots for ships on one account . You can have infinite accounts. You cannot have ships be AI controlled with a docking module. The module only allows other players to dock with you, restock/repair, and do go where you go should they log off.

Thanks for that info. How do I dock a ship so I can buy another one and fly it without selling the first one? Also how would I load a ship onto my battle cruiser for instance once I am able to find a docking module? Sounds like fun being able to help others dock and repair. Do the repair funds go to the game or to the ship/POS hosting the repairs? Is it the same for the carrier? I read the drones are AI controlled.

You cannot dock with your own ship. Shulsky explained well enough. In one account, you can have 7 ships. By example, you character is Toto and you have three ships. A bit like this.

And if you use for example Toto1 and buy another ship the previous will be replaced. Similar to the vanilla game.

Edit: Drones are a ship. This ship:

Oh i see where you said what it only does. So i am guessing you cant dock a snub. I had read on these forums on a post somewhere that someone was using a snub on their ship.

I see, so each character is a ship.

Exactly. But in a RP perspective, if your character is Toto, again, one character can be like: Plane-1
Another Plane-2 etc, you name it.

So what about this carrier class with drones? I saw a whole thread of people complaining about how ai drones are bothersome so that has to be a thing.

I'm afraid to not understand. I never saw a carrier with AI drones.

Carriers are type of capital ship that can have multiple docking bays.

In the past there was a time when you were able to deploy AI controlled ships from a Carrier, I believe it was one or two at the time but this has been long gone as far as I'm aware.
