I would agree with that, by the way, despite all the history and lore behind event and people comments. Don't get me wrong, RP is RP, but my God - how many Gaian ships appeared just by seeing a few Royalists.
If the jokes about the return of the King are not jokes, then why shouldn't the Maquis be the first to raise all the panic, which would allow for a whole series of interesting RP and plot twists in the style of: "These terrorists are making some very shocking statements" and all that. But maybe it's just because there are simply too many Gaians, and I didn't expect them to appear on the event arena so quickly, and the time zones don't allow the Royalists to enter "here and now".
Otherwise, guys, I wish you all to have fun at this event and get as much pleasure from RP and PvP processes as possible. Don't let such an interesting event slide into another raidlog-farm-event.
Honestly, as the N1 maquis guy - we never cared about the Royalists. The Faction didn't make sense from the getgo, they spawned battleships, and it killed all RP tension within the Union that could have had some royalist sympathisers from within. Instead we got the pirate ID faction that didn't make much sense.
The NPC faction isn't a threat in canon and shouldn't have any resources really, just was put back in the game after there was no plan of having them when the new Gallic status quo was made, just couple folks wanted to play royalists so an OF request was used to make it and then a lot of resources spawned like in starwars sequels.
There wouldn't be any panic whatsoever from the maquis - they already are shifted against the Gallic Union as their priority, the nobles within as their primary target would have been fading with every passing year, shifting towards the socioeconomic issues and oppression that go hand in hand with having the opportunistic military calling the shots on micro and macro level in the house.
So - just have fun, it's no issue Gaians are in the fray - score cool points, get some reward, and I hope to see some good old days crazy maquis.
You're the #1 Maquis Guy because you're the only Maquis guy.
And that's a big shame. It's an interesting faction, but nobody is a maquis guy. Even the ID wording is many years out of date, never updated to the current status quo - it's literally pre-confederacy worded as only anti- Gallic royalist faction :/
The Gaians being there makes sense narrative-wise, Jammi himself asked me to add them in before the event kick-started (better late than never). Royalists don't have any capitals at their disposal due to their current state, but that's the idea of them.
Besides, the royalist playerbase is skilled enough to take on cruisers in snubs. I don't think this sort of a handicap will stop them. With all due respect, I will not be micromanaging this event.

Friendly reminder that such actions violate the spirit of the Event and go against the rules of 1.0, 1.1 (specifically, the Metagaming part) and 1.2 (specifically, the Exploitation part). If there are concerns of foul play (and evidence of such) - relay them to staff. I hope they'll conduct thorough investigation into the matter and punish the "freebie givers" accordingly. Official events do not, and will not, encourage nor abide by such mentality.
@Chronicron I would suggest to remind players about fairplay, because royalist playerbase is getting way too skilled in taking out cruisers. If I continue to participate in the event, I might unintentionally violate the spirit of it.

Indeed.
Indeed a 3v3, sadly your partners left you. That's actually the only good fight I had today. This is how it started btw

The rules are there. If you're feeling like one side is being too much - ask the staff members who can actually do something about it. Sorry, but I can't do much here other than ask them to kindly balance each other and to keep mutual enjoyment in mind.
