Having recently rediscovered my love for Lego and their Space subthemes from the 80s, 90s and the last year's City Space, I've been building things.
Mostly creations within the M:Tron, Blacktron 2, Aquazone, Futuron and Ice Planet 2002 subthemes, but I've also made some Freelancer ships.

I'd like to share with you my build inspired by the Liberty Navy BDR-337 Defender.
It's not perfect, it was improvised from the limited parts that I had lying around, and is made to fit within the 2024/5 Lego City Space design language.
I'm happy to have been able to fit a functional cargobay and engine bay in the build. The wings do not fold.

Yeah, people can never get too old for that. Really cool!

Anyone who says Legos are just for kids let their inner child rot in the intervening years, I feel.

Excellent work! Maybe you can put together a Rhino?

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I accept your challenge and will try to build a Rhino in a similar style. I'll also try to build a Bretonian Cavalier.

Very excellent stuff!! I've been doing Lego related stuff for many many years, but I usually build guns (replicas & working ones) out of Lego. Back in the day I also used to make Freelancer ships, I remember having made the Valkyrie as it was my favorite ship at that time, although I doubt any pictures of it exist anywhere!

Thanks! Maybe you could share your builds if you have photos, I'd love to see them.
