What happened was a Phantom player got mad because I over powered him and so he took my statement "now get out of here you worthless piece of crap" and reported me as if I was flaming at him and rule lawyering.

The thing is, the line you have quoted could easily be interpreted as being directed at either the player or the character. As a result, the phantom in question probably got offended by the statement as he thought it was directed at him, not his character.

I think the thing that needs to be learned here is to be more specific when you give such a taunt, so they know that you meant the character and not them.

I think that brings me up to 4 cents worth here...

I don't mean to make this topic drag on, or to make a big deal out of something that's obviously not, but if (and I'm only saying "if", since I don't really know what happened) a Phantom player can't handle something so insignificant then why was he chosen to be a Phantom? As far as I know Phantoms are chosen by ADMINs, yes?

Just for the record, most of the Phantom characters *are* admins. So you're probably quite screwed on the getting unsanctioned front.

NO, they are not. Yes, there are THREE admins in the Phantoms. However, two hardly play in-game, and the other is me. There are EIGHT (soon to be nine) other active members in the Phantoms that are NOT admins. As such, that quote in your signature, N00bl3t, is false.

I'd like to quietly ask that you remove that quote from your signature. Kuraine was mistaken here. I understand this was ten days ago, but I have just now noticed or I would have argued back when this was new.
