Day 1 - We have arrived in Kyushu orbit. Didn't expect us to take the long route via the Taus and Bretonia but our contacts at the Gas Miners urged us to avoid Omicron Theta over unusual amounts of Corsair and Outcast activity. We're being loaded with easily 3 months worth of supplies here, most of which is provided by Samura. I'd rather not ask why or how the Board convinced them to facilitate this and why exactly they chose Samura associates for supplies but they surely had their reasons.
Day 4 - Our journey through the Taus was surprisingly uneventful. We had brief chats with a few Crayterians and Bretonians on patrol and are now about to close in on Planet Cambridge where we meet up with the 'Kaiten', a small Grouse-class of ours that apparently remained in Bretonia since Kishiro tinkered around with the Somerset for the Bretonian Armed Forces. They will join our expedition in their own role, a refuel vessel.
Day 5 - We left behind Bretonia today after Kawashima-san managed to tip off a Zoner convoy heading for Freeport 5. They took us along with them, urging us to disable our transponders and remain in tight formation with them. We soon realized why: A battlefield, mines, asteroids, Hessian and Corsair contacts on the scanners on far distances basically the whole trip. The Zoners explained us that this Hammen Hole we flew past, is one of the bloodiest continuous battlefields in the sector. To think we'd have run into this blindly if not for the Zoner convoy is terrifying, but thanks to them we managed to reach Freeport 5 for a brief layover. Omega-41 is already fascinating, a Neutron Star is a rare sight and I am really glad for the hardened radiation shielding of this vessel.
Day 6 - Omega-43. That's the name label this system received apparently, at least that is what this Zoner from the Maiden told us. It is far less astonishing as we hoped for, especially given the hostile nature of that place. We had to dodge several hostile contacts, who didn't seem to care about the Zoner convoy we've stuck to.
Day 6 - Entry 2, Omega-2 - We made it all the way to Omega-2.
Our Zoner friends diverted to another sector, aiming for the system of Cayman to supply their Research Liner. The journey has been fruitful, albeit expensive in a sense that cannot be understated. We have lost all but two escort vessels to make it this far. Takashi-san, Usui-san, Miyahara-san, forgive us. We had no way to recover your bodies. May you find peace in knowing that we'll manage to find our path home, no matter what.
