Hi. I have questions about the story.
1. Why wouldn't they contact the military for support? The project is classified and the state did as expected, but it doesn't make them an enemy of the state.
2. Why wouldn't they evac the rest of personell first, and then think on how to get the ship operational again?
3. How around 347 souls left the Valkyrie and been able to form a transport company in a reasonable time?

In a live role playing environment, you are not owed or mandated to be given a duel. Fights develop differently every time and people have varying degree of time to log on their hands or have their own plans.

As a lover of capital ships, I feel that Freelancer lacks detailed technical specifications.
Could the Elbe really have survived for 7 years without resource supplies and technical maintenance? Even if they could find water in space, what about the rest? I doubt the Elbe had a hydroponics farm.
The Elbe only has 4 docking bays. The captain took 3 officers with her, including a security officer(!), and abandoned the enlisted personnel?
I can't accept that the captain abandoned the ship entrusted to her command. She could have sent her executive officer.

Greetings, with pleasure have we read your feedback and want to answer on these questions at hand.

To answer this, there is planned to be some Audio logs of "The Sparrow" by the player behind the character to fill in some blanks which were left in the story we published.
We hope that we can satisfy those blanks with some retrospective storytelling in future.
@WRmako we understand that you can not accept the fact, that "The Sparrow" abandoned the ship entrusted to her command,
yet we may spoiler already, she did not leave the ship behind on her own suggestion.

Afternoon. Have some thoughts on the faction as a whole.

• Rheinland Military Forces did not have Jump Drive access in 827 AS. They still don't have Jump Drive access now.
  
• Why is this Elbe named the Valkyrie when there is already a snub with that name?
  
• How did 847 of Rheinland's finest disappear with absolutely no questions? If they were the finest, the best and brightest, then they would have been noticed.
  
• Why have they contacted LSF and DTR, but not say...Crayter or IMG, who have significant experience with long distance operations?

Just some thoughts. Would love if you actually answered these instead of saying "It will be explained in the future" too. Thanks.

we sat down to answer your questions:

• We were thinking, that the failure of an experimental drive could be
  a reason why they do not have access to this date to a functional Jump drive technology.
  
  
• Valkyrie is just a very beautiful name, we did not see a reason why we should
  not use the name for an Elbe in this case.
  
  
• Every Captain calls the own crew the finest, thats just some adjective to
  underline the attachment of the captain to the crew.
  
  
• We did not contact the LSF, we were contacted by them. About DTR, we met them in space, had
  some good talk, mentioned they trade artifacts, we smuggle artifacts - so we thought, reaching out to them for some kind of license to reduce the potentional number of enemies by 1 would be a smart play.
