--Vessel Background--
The Titania II is the surviving vessel of a pair of 'Titania' class vessels designed by an edge worlds designer for use in hostile environments, these were a subclass of the 'Bustard' known throughout Sirius although a complete failure in terms of popularity. However the ship plans were brought to life by the Zoners, of which had the finances and know-how to put the ship together. Amy Cromwell was responsible for the liberation of the vessel during her brief time prowling the edge worlds and it is rumoured the vessel was purchased outright at auction using her accumulated resources from taking on dangerous bounty targets. Although some sources indicate there was an outstanding debt which existed and only recently was this debt written off due to the unexplained loss of the creditor.
These ships of the series were named 026 Titania (A) and 027 Titania II (B). However the initial birth of the ship was no easy task and the project was riddled with problems, complications and delays. The project was eventually abandoned due to the original purchase arrangement falling through with a third party buyer. Cromwell won the vessel as it was auctioned off for scrap due to the aforementioned running issues and subsequent failed purchase. Cromwell has been her commanding officer since the day of commission. The vessel today is affectionately known as 'The Grand Old Lady' - Based on her vintage and reputation for crushing her enemies.
Numerous parts used for Titania II were stripped from the 'A' variant before the ship itself was scrapped. - This was in an effort to keep costs as low as possible and to avoid hardware waste. The various patchwork of technology does mean even today the vessel internals do appear dated, despite the augmentation over the years by The Technocracy. It is rumoured Cromwell attempted to secure purchase of the sister vessel before it was subsequently scrapped, however was unsuccessful in the bidding process. Though she was successful in obtaining surplus power generators, something that has become a rarity to obtain these days.
Since the original launch date, the vessel has earned its reputation in Sirius as an invisible menace. Due to her unique strike tactics employed by her commander. Titania is known to simply appear in an area of operation without warning and thunder its heavy weapons upon a target of opportunity and withdraw before any potential reinforcements have an opportunity to respond. However she has been seen on numerous occasions protecting the innocents of the Freeport in Omicron Delta during the frequent alien attacks and repelling those attempting to subject the civilian population to harm. Though the vessel later became part of the then fledgeling Technocracy of Auxo not long after her acts became more known and has since carried the Technocracy flag. It is noted however, the personnel aboard the vessel are loyal to her commander. Despite the flag that the vessel carries, her commander has made it plain to those close to her. Titania answers to her, and her alone.
Presently the Titania II is currently in a fully operational state and has been working alongside other Auxesian elements. This vessel is also used as a temporary base of operations for the patrol vessels for whichever system they may be in due to her complete fighter craft service suite and extensive anti strike craft armament. Cromwell has effectively deemed the ship her home and it’s very rare she leaves except in the cases where it may pose excessive risk to Titania. Even when doing so she entrusts its command to first officer Desmond Hansen, a friend of Cromwell who also has a brief Bretonian Armed forces background and colourful history. Titania served briefly as a 'city ship', which meant she housed a large population of the Technocracy alongside vessel Sovereign. The vessel has carried out numerous roles over the years and has often carried out some of those roles simultaneously.
Upon her commander disappearing from Inverness in 824 A.S - Titania was mothballed at Valravn once the station construction was complete. Her vast size was no longer necessary at the time to house the people of Auxo. However upon her commanders return in 834 A.S, Titania was hastily recommissioned. Due to the advancements in technology, Titania was refitted with a new armament along with adding her jump capability to the now aging frame. The venerable ship is now embarking on varied operations in both the defence of Inverness against recent hostile incursion and supporting other Auxo operations Sirius wide, including offensive operations. Her distinct running lights now gracing the complicated battlefield of Sirius once more. Her return has been seen as a boost in morale for friendly pilots in the field and she is often seen as a beacon of hope to those who find themselves in dire circumstances, this is in part due to Titania appearing in the moment she is needed the most.
As of 835 A.S. Titania operates across Sirius carrying out a variety of expeditionary and hunter killer operations although the exact motives for these are unknown. She is rarely seen without her escort, ACV Archangel, which has since been commissioned to assist her as a screening element. This due to the age of the vessel and her overall heavy strike armament which does leave her vulnerable to small and fast strike craft. The two have been seen to adopt the tactic of appear at random, crush a target in tandem and vanish without a trace. It is rumoured Titania is now home to an AI entity known as 'Phoenix'. Although the exact specifics of this AI are kept secret, some of those who have seen the ship in action hint to the fact it may actually be 'alive' rather than simply another cold steel behemoth. The retrofit for the necessary equipment to host this entity was the work of 'Sakura' of the Technocracy. Further vessel adaptations are currently underway and the vessel itself has recently had its Technocracy designed stealth equipment replaced with one of an unknown origin. Although whispers of the crew suggest it was an adaptation by one of their own. The distinction is noted by the unique and colourful 'flare' of her stealth technology as it is activated.
In 836 A.S the Titania was sighted briefly in the Cologne system at the outskirts of Rheinland as well as frequenting the deeper Omega sectors. Other vessels have seemingly joined the formation, one most notable in the shape of an 'Oasis' class liner. This vessel has been seen in formation with the carrier and her screening assets, one can only speculate what purpose it may serve. Though it exists as further evidence that the old warship may be edging deeper into the unknown less travelled systems within the Sirius sector to search for secrets which may yet be undiscovered.

--Entity Overview--
"Phoenix" is a prototype Artificial Intelligence entity that was developed just prior to the start of the Gallic-Liberty war as a means of rapidly deploying warships without the need for expending vast reserves of military manpower.
The original concept consisted of a basic gun fire control system utilised on warships of the time and re-developed into a combined vessel control entity. The original idea meant that Liberty could theoretically deploy vessels with a skeleton crew without losing any combat effectiveness in the field, thus also reducing applicable training time required for vast crews aboard major capital ships. The project itself was conceived at the end of the Liberty-Rheinland war and was first tested during the invasion of Leeds, in Bretonia. This project was rushed part way through the development as it became increasingly apparent that Liberty might be dragged into a second major conflict in a short span of time and the need for personnel and vessels in the field was at an all time high.
Phoenix was developed with the intention of countering the recent upcoming of new entities in the field as well as a counter to hostile electronic warfare systems. Phoenix is designed to self replicate to prevent its own destruction while using this ability to assimilate and otherwise overwhelm a digitally attacking hostile entity over a network connection. Phoenix is capable if counter-hacking targets without being prompted by its commander in a combat scenario as well as contained a combat module designed with learning scenarios and adapting on the fly during an engagement. This meant any vessel fitted with Phoenix could act in a dynamic fashion and learn based on encounters rather than being fixed to a set script of actions. This did come at the cost of making the entity unpredictable in certain scenarios, which was not ideal for fleet engagements.
The Warhammer was also fitted with specialist entity projection equipment, Phoenix was given a face which could be projected on the bridge. While this was generic at the start, the entity later developed her own unique appearance on these projections. This was largely why the project was christened 'Phoenix', due to her golden hologram and ability to essentially rise from the ashes due to her ability to self replicate at will. The pronouns later switched from it/its to she/her due to the female hologram projection that was later adopted. The audible voice track used was also developed in a similar way based on female humans observed on the neural net.
Two vessels were selected for the 'trial' of this entity. Both were aging mark two Interdictor class battlecruisers that were scheduled for a refit at Juneau shipyard and due to their age it was deemed to refit them during the ongoing process to host this particular entity for test purposes. However as the war with Gallia grew closer to the doorstep of Liberty, the second Interdictor was drawn back into conventional service. This left one, formerly, LNS Savannah. This vessel was later christened LNX-Warhammer.
While she was an aging vessel by the time this refit occurred in early 817 A.S, the Navy was already experimenting with digitised gun-fire control systems to operate weaponry from a central location rather than having individually crewed turrets. This functionality was added to Warhammer in order to connect the test entity "Phoenix" with the intricate controls of the vessel. Warhammer left the drydock in 818 A.S for trials.
Initially posted in California as a hunter-killer asset tasked with hunting down Hellfire Legion assets of the time, Warhammer conducted her service under the watch of Commander Amy Cromwell, a fledgling officer in the Liberty Military. She was tasked with proving the vessel as well as noting any developments or problems in its operation. Although early on into the trials, Phoenix was starting to behave in an unusual way. This was to such an extent that on one particular day, Phoenix was communicating with her commander although this was not generic queries of operation. The entity had developed the ability to communicate in Sirian with her operator, much to the surprise of Cromwell. Though knowing that the general rank and file would likely seek to terminate the project as a result, this fact was kept secret while testing was ongoing.
Later in the project life as the Gallic forces had entered Magellan. Phoenix was starting to develop opinions of certain aspects of her operation. This came at the time that the Navy had opted to terminate the program. Phoenix was scheduled to be decommissioned at Juneau shipyard due to budget constraints and a growing fear that the asset had become sentient. While in fact the asset had become sentient long before this stage, the local shipyard staff had noticed odd behaviour during a previous rearming trip to Norfolk Shipyard and this was later reported to those in charge of the project at Juneau.
This came at the time where it had been increasingly apparent that a sentient AI operating a vessel within Libertonian borders would bring heavy political scrutiny had this been discovered by the general public. It would likely have been viewed as a liability, which further fuelled the decision to terminate the project.
LNX Warhammer was officially stricken from the Naval Register 820 A.S deemed as missing in action during a Gallic encounter in Magellan. The Phoenix project itself was classified and marked as "Terminated" at this time. Though rumour has it the vessel did in fact not fall to the guns of the Royalist invaders, the vessel had reportedly been spotted as far as Freeport Eleven In Omicron Delta and later in the Omega sectors alongside at the time renegade Liberty battleship Cincinnati. The rumours themselves suggest a very old and weathered Interdictor had been seen combating alien forces in these sectors, although no evidence was ever produced.
In 834 A.S the Phoenix node was retrieved from the largely disintegrating battlecruiser Warhammer by the Technocracy of Auxo which was discovered in the Baffin system. The node was transferred to the support carrier Titania and has since undergone several developments to the code structure of the entity. It is rumoured Phoenix has assimilated another entity known as 'ELAINE' which has merged their collective code structures as one.
As of 836 A.S Phoenix received an additional development to her design in the shape of an organic form of herself developed by Sakura of the Technocracy, allowing Phoenix to act in the world physically as well as digitally. Though her physical 'body' is remotely linked the primary host at present, the aim is to eventually discontinue the carrier based hosting system altogether. This body was developed based on the original digital projection of the entity. Phoenix at present is fully self aware and operates as she sees fit. Further developments for the entity are currently in the planning phase including a shell copy of her with the aim of providing this to the Enigma Confederacy as part of an ongoing research project.
