I'm resigning from the Legion. For the last three years, I've followed my duties to the letter, building a base for Gallic intelligence with Border World supplies, smuggling weapons all over Sirius, making sure every sorry bastard you put out in space has one of those 30 year old ships you insist on flying, bought from the Xeno-run Freeport under their noses. I smuggled Molly gold for you, I helped you recover the husks of capital ships kept inside dry dock in the middle of nowhere. For what reason? I don't know, and I do not need to know. I've coordinated operations for almost as long as I was with this outfit. I've done my part.
I joined the Task Force because I had nowhere else to go, and I hoped it would improve things for people like me. For myself, I will not complain about anything except the hours. We've done each other well. However, I've seen many gamblers in my life, so I know when I see somebody who doesn't know how to fold. It's time I cash out and disappear. We should forget each other and move on.
I've left my personal prosecutor in the hands of an old disgruntled miner by the name Rand Savage. He's been an initiate since that time I was. I don't expect the fellow to go any higher, but he follows orders just fine. My personal belongings have been cleared from Legion storage and will depart with me.
