Council,
I am pleased to report a record-breaking production of Helium-3 for the most recent period. Thanks to the efforts of our hardworking miners and haulers, as well as the assistance of the Orex Industries ship - [|O|]-Vaitupu, 47,680 units of Helium-3 have been delivered to Yakushima Station. Production of H-Fuel will commence immediately.
We will strive to break this record in the future.
Kind regards,
Toru Nakamura

Council,
I am pleased to inform you that, thanks to the combined efforts of our hard-working miners and haulers, 70,000 units of Helium-3 were extracted yesterday in the シグマ-13システム (Sigma-13 System) and delivered to 屋久島駅 (Yakushima Station). All the Helium obtained has been successfully processed, and 70,000 units of H-Fuel are now ready to flow across the シリウスセクタ (Sirius Sector). That is all for now.
敬具, Respectfully
Toru Nakamura
Director of Mining and Logistics Operations
The Shinsei Clan
By order of the Clan Leader, the following personnel action is hereby effective immediately:

The Personnel Directorate is directed to update all records, access credentials, and operational authorizations accordingly.
Copernicus Reconnaissance Report – Phase I Findings & Phase II Authorization
Classification:
INTERNAL – CLAN EYES ONLY
Date:
836 A.S.
II. Operational Summary
Honorable Council Members,
We submit this joint report following the successful completion of our preliminary reconnaissance mission to the Copernicus system. The operation was executed by CTO Makoto Ogawa aboard the Garanchou-class freighter, with tactical escort provided by Intelligence Officer Shinji Fujikage piloting an Eagle fighter craft. Our findings confirm that Copernicus presents both significant strategic opportunities and considerable operational hazards.
The primary objective was to verify the existence and navigability of the Sigma‑13 → Copernicus jump hole, conduct a preliminary survey of the Copernicus system, and assess its viability for future Clan resource extraction and strategic positioning.
Outcome: The jump hole is active and passable. Copernicus has been partially surveyed. Two notable wrecks have been located and documented. The system contains navigational hazards consistent with volatile gas pockets and radiation. Based on these findings, the Council has authorized a second, larger expedition to be scheduled at a later date.
III. Navigational Data: Sigma‑13 → Copernicus Jump Hole
The coordinates for the jump hole were not derived from standard GMG navigational charts. They were obtained from a fragmentary data log recovered from Zoner named - Masaharu Shimamura at Newport Station, we do not know how exactly he obtained this data log, it was encrypted with Kishiro Technologies Encoder v24.85 and he has no idea how to crack it, but he was happy to give it to us, saying that it had already caused him a lot of problems and that the Corsairs had been hunting him for some time because of this trinket. Mr. Shimamura was escorted to Aomori Station where he is protected by our people at the moment.
The jump hole itself is located within Sigma‑13's most dense Crow Nebula region, where visibility is negligible and sensor performance is severely degraded. Navigation through this sector requires slow, methodical piloting and continuous monitoring for explosive gas pockets. Upon transit, we emerged in Copernicus grid sector G‑3, on the periphery of a nebular outcropping.
The Unstable Copernicus Jump Hole as seen from the Sigma-13 side.
IV. Survey of the Copernicus System
Copernicus system dominated by a magenta‑hued brown dwarf (Type T9, temperature 502K) surrounded by an accretion ring of highly irradiated particulate matter.
Our survey focused on the Hirayama Cloud, a medium‑sized arm of the Crow Nebula famed throughout Sirius for its beautiful vistas. The cloud is rich in ionized hydrogen, helium, and oxygen - resources of direct interest to the Clan's gas extraction operations. However, the Hirayama Cloud also contains explosive gas pockets and likely other undetected hazards. Our prior experience navigating similar pockets in Sigma‑13 proved invaluable; both the Garanchou and the Eagle successfully traversed the cloud and the space beyond.
Of particular note is the Copernicus Asteroid Belt, a field of highly radioactive dust encircling the brown dwarf. Upon approach, shipboard systems issued severe radiation warnings. Following established safety protocols, we terminated our approach, made a decision to stop further survey, and returned to Sigma-13. We recommend that all future expeditions avoid this belt entirely.
Shinsei ships are entering the Copernicus system from the Crow Nebula arm named Hirayama.
V. Wreck Documentation & Salvage Analysis
A. Tsuiseki (GMG Exploration Vessel) – Sector D‑2
Registry: Misaki Oshiro Cause of Loss: Navigation error in gas pocket field. Details: In an attempt to take a shortcut through a gas‑filled corridor, the pilot misjudged the gap width, triggering a chain reaction of gas pocket explosions that overwhelmed the ship's structural integrity. The pilot is presumed to have perished instantly. Recovered Assets: Partial navigational data logs, perhaps he managed to transfer the data to Mr. Shimamura, or that Zoner was with him, but managed to survive. Perhaps we can loosen his tongue once we arrive at Aomori.
SC vessels are inspecting The Tsuiseki wreck.
B. Gambler (Bounty Hunter Hammerhead) – Sector E‑2/1
Registry: Uwe Friedrich Cause of Loss: Combat damage leading to loss of maneuverability in gas pockets. Details: Evidence suggests Friedrich was ambushed by local pirates seeking revenge for a prior engagement. The Gambler's left wing was crippled, inflicting critical damage to maneuverability systems. In a desperate maneuver, Friedrich fled into nearby gas pockets. While this evasive action shook off his pursuers, the ship was too damaged to withstand the violent explosions within the cloud. Tactical Assessment: The wreck remains largely intact. The vessel was lost along with all the valuables collected across this Hunter's envious career. A detailed inventory of recoverable assets will be a priority for Phase II.
Inspection of the Gambler by the Hatoma Maru.
VI. Phase II Authorization & Strategic Recommendations
Following our debriefing, the Clan Council has formally approved a second, larger expedition to the Copernicus system. The date for this operation has not yet been set and will be communicated once logistical arrangements and threat assessments are complete.
For the Phase II mission, we recommend the following operational parameters:
Fleet Composition: A minimum of two heavy‑lift freighters for salvage and resource transport, supported by a fighter escort wing capable of engaging hostile elements that we could possibly encounter in Copernicus.
Hazard Mitigation: All vessels must be equipped with enhanced radiation shielding and gas pocket detection suites. Pilots must be experienced in low‑visibility, high‑volatility environments.
Intelligence Objectives: Sigma‑13 → Copernicus jump Hole stability assessment; Full salvage of the Gambler's cargo and data cores; comprehensive mapping of the Hirayama Cloud's resource density; and assessment of potential forward operating base locations within Copernicus that offer natural cover from the nebular environment.
We stand ready to provide further technical and intelligence support for the upcoming expedition. The Copernicus system offers the Shinsei Clan a unique opportunity to extend our operational reach into an untapped region rich in resources - provided we approach it with the caution and strategic foresight that define our Clan.
The Clan’s ships are exploring the boundless expanses of the Copernicus system.
