Harlan would smile as these two would exchange the rings and would be finalizing the Ceremony. He would have a soft look on his face and would enjoy seeing a love bloom like this. Isabella was sure nervous, but that was nothing too surprising. After all, it was her first wedding, and even a blind person could see that she was quite shy and a bit scared, but mostly in a good way. That she had broken the traditional Order of things by being the first to put the ring on her partner was already seen as an amusing little anecdote that they would be able to tell their children once they had grown old together.
Harlen: Now then, as the rings are exchanged, let us come to the most important part, the kissing of the bride.
He made a small joke that would earn him some laughs and some chuckles. Even Isabella couldn't help but chuckle at this. It helped her to see things more easily and to battle her nervous feelings. But of course, that was not the Official Message of Harlen. Before anyone could do the thing, he would lift his voice again to speak the real words.
Harlen: Okay, fun aside, this is after all a Serious Matter. We have visited how these two souls have come together here today to form a Bond that no human shall ever try to untangle. And it is my Holy Privilege and Honor to complete this Sceremony now. By the Blessing of the Divine and the Powers that my Friends of the Church of Deux placed within me, I hereby pronounce you man and woman. John, you may now kiss your bride.
As he said this, Isa would almost feel as if her heart would jump out of her Body. But she would soon feel that it would beat even faster as she saw him coming closer and closer to lift the veil. She looked forward to the kiss as she hoped that it would sweep away some of her Nervousness. The time would come to a crawl as he would come closer and closer, or at least that was how she would feel about this.

These were the words they had been waiting for. He let her hands go so that he could lift her veil. In doing so, it seemed like an eternity as he lifted it up and over her head. As he lifted, the soft smile on her face came into view. Her eyes were welling up with tears of joy and her saw her chest take in a deep breath as he lifted. She was waiting. Once her face was exposed, his arms dropped behind her lower back and he moved in to give her the big, long kiss his now wife was waiting for.
The whole crowd erupted in roars, applause and cheers as they kissed. Her arms reached up and wrapped around his neck. Harlen himself had a smile of approval and clapped best as he could. He was still holding his book with a marriage certificate that needed their signatures.
Doc pulled back just enough to say something that only she could hear through the noise, "I love you Misses Holliday," and proceeded to kiss her more. To them, it seemed like forever but in reality, the kiss was short in the grand scheme of things. He again pulled back and he just looked into her face. He took a handkerchief from his pocket and carefully dabbed away the tears on her face. He didn't want her eyeliner to run after all.
He looked again to Harlen, "If you would, Suh," as he took Isabella's arm.
"Of course," he replied, "I now introduce to you for the first time anywhere, Dr. John and Dr. Isabella Holliday."
Together, they made the walk back up the aisle towards where their chairs awaited them at the head reception table. They ducked a bit as rice was thrown over them by everyone. The string quartet played as they walked. Bridesmaids ensured the train on her dress wouldn't get snagged along the way all the while the rice flew and the crowd cheered.
Even as they sat at the table, it was now a festive place. Doc seated his bride at the table before taking his own. Of course, before they sat, they kissed again. The bridesmaids all sat to Isabella's right while the groomsman all sat to Doc's left. The ceremony itself now complete, it was time to eat, celebrate and dance.

Harlen brought the certificate to them. "Let us get this part taken care of now," he told them.
Doc signed his name along with his best man and Isabella would sign her name as well along with her maid of honor.
Jill stood just off to the side, close enough to see everything, but far enough to let the moment belong to Isa and John.
From where she was, she could watch it all unfold, not just as a bridesmaid, but as someone who cared deeply for both of them. Her eyes moved between them as the rings were exchanged. She noticed Isa’s hands shaking a little and the way John steadied her with that quiet calm of his. It made her smile softly. They really were good for each other. She glanced down as Anya made her way back, still holding her bunny tightly like it had been part of the job all along. The moment she reached Jill, she leaned gently against her. Jill rested a hand on her shoulder, grounding her with a soft touch. “You did so well, sweetheart.”
Anya looked up at her, still a little unsure, her small voice quiet as she asked if she had done it right. Jill smiled warmly, meeting her eyes. “You did it perfectly dear.”
That was enough. The tension left Anya’s little shoulders, and she hugged her bunny tighter before turning her attention back toward the front, now content to simply watch. Jill lifted her gaze again as Harlen continued. She listened, but her focus stayed on Isa and John. On how far they had come. On how right this felt. When the words finally came, she felt something shift inside her.
"You may now kiss your bride."
Jill watched as John lifted Isa’s veil. She could see the tears in Isa’s eyes, the way she held her breath for just a moment. Then when he kissed her and shortly after, the room erupted into cheers, but Jill stayed quiet for a second longer, watching them. The way Isa reached for him, the way John held her. It wasn’t just a kiss. It felt like something certain, something lasting. Beside her, Anya tugged gently at her hand, her voice filled with quiet excitement. “Mommy… they kissed!"
Jill looked down at her, her expression softening immediately. She lowered herself and leaned a little closer, speaking gently so only Anya would hear. “They did because when people love each other, they kiss. That’s why mommy kisses you too right?”
Anya seemed to think about that, then gave a small nod, hugging her bunny again as if that made perfect sense.
Jill smiled faintly as she stood up and looked back toward the couple. They really did it. And as Isa and John walked back down the aisle together, rice flying and music filling the room, Jill reached down and smoothed Anya’s hair without thinking. “That’s Uncle John and Aunt Isa now.” Anya said out of the blue and slightly louder than usual so it made people turned their heads.
Anya looked up at her. “Forever?” Jill’s smile softened even more as she looked down to Anya's beautiful eyes with a loving look only a mother can give. “Forever my dear.”.
At the reception table, as the celebration began to settle into something warmer and more relaxed, Harlen approached with the certificate. Jill stepped forward when it was her turn. She watched John sign, then Isa. When the pen was placed in her hand, she paused for just a moment. It felt important, more than just a signature. Then she signed her name carefully and stepped back. Her eyes met Isa’s, and she gave her a small, warm smile. She didn’t need to say anything as hugs would come later.
