The Konjichō Division is an elite squadron wing operating directly under Imperial Guard command. It was formed in the wake of the assassination of Yoshinobu Tekagi by the Blood Dragons, drawing together some of the finest fighter pilots in the Kusari Empire.
Although its members serve as standard members of the various home fleets, they would be activated to counter domestic high-profile threats. True to their name, an old Buddhistic demigod who mainly feeds on Dragons, the Konjichō Division was called together whenever a high-profile Dragon would've been identified. Similarly to many other squadrons and divisions fiercely loyal to the Imperial Throne, the Konjichō Division was dissolved during the Republic era and wasn't formally restored until 830 AS. Since its reactivation, its mandate has broadened beyond the Blood Dragons to include high-value Outcast targets and foreign intelligence operatives, with its service members now operating as a standalone division.
