' Wrote:Might I remind you that we have already made a formal deal with the Benitez about the delivery of the del cid weaponary. Don Carlos Benitez or one of his close trusties can verify that. When we fly into gamma we also announce ourselves and our purpose, if it is to buy weaponary we make sure a benitez operative is present and has given permission.
That's the thing, all your deals are through the Benitez, so they aren't 'official' to make it official you should do it through the council.

The very idea that a company which acts in direct competition with the Guild and has a cosy relationship with the vile, inbred and mentally disabled Benitez brood should have access to ships such as the AP Bounty Hunter bomber is as welcome an idea to me as spending a week in the Omegas in a starflier with a flatulent Nomad.
The civilian line (or perhaps even the Ageira bomber) might be a wiser choice. Unless of course you're prepared to offer something in return.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I don't agree. I don't intend to open that can of worms here, but when a certain ultumatum was given and refused, it was implied that we would not accept dictation from any non-democratic council that neither we nor indipendant representatives are involved in.
It was discussed, at the time, and settled upon that as the Benitez familia where not given an opportunity to participate in the Council currently "in command", executive power over Benitez policy would shift to the Council of Benitez Elders. If you wanted to be able to tell us what we could and could not do, you should have involved us.
To put it simply, our decisions are as official as our clan is; ie. equally as official as decisions made by TBH, and more official than decisions made by OPG (given that we are a system-owning faction).
In the next mod release we will have equipment-selling bases in our system, under our control and absolute jurisdiction which will further prevent any claims that we do not have the right to export our arms.
If it is deemed that the JG using Corsair weapons is unacceptable by Server standards, fine, but I do not accept that TBH and OPG actions should be deemed legitimate while Benitez actions should not.
Aside from this...I'd like to bear whitness for the Jupiter Guild. I have known the majority of these people for over 3 years. They are some of the friendliest and most honourable people I have encountered on freelancer.
They mark themselves Mercenaries rather than Bounty Hunters because (as far as I am aware of) they'd much rather go and escort a friendly Cargo Train than hunt down random people on contracts.
The Jupiter Guild was created when 3 significant mercenary clans on an old non-RP vanilla server (Vero's old home) merged. Because they began on a Non-RP server, they may have had to adjust to being an RP clan, and perhaps that adjustment is not yet complete, but they're trying their best.
The trade-wing exists (as far as I am aware) because the guys like escorting Traders, and sometimes there aren't any around, so they escort their own trains. I can't see what's wrong with that.
We have taken into account your advice, and gotten rid of the riff raff within the JG. Here is the result...
Changes to the ships we fly
In order to better RP, we have scrapped most of the ships we used to fly. The ships which we will now fly are detailed below. Please note that the IMG Gunboat and Taiidan Bomber will only be in use until a more appropriate Zoner model comes out (which we are working on at the moment).
Fighters Ravens Talon and Eagles for full members, Tiger Shark for members on probation
Bombers Taiidan (While we wait for our own, or the IMG bomber)
Gunboats IMG Gunboat (Until one closer to our hearts comes out)
Traders - Yet to be decided, refer to Elite Trade-Wing Commander, Roadrunner
Capital Ships Zoner only
[font=Impact]Changes to our weapons
Our weapons will be limited to:
Zoner weapons
Codes
Civilian weapons
Weapons that are allowed by The Benitez
Changes to the recruiting process
We have devised a new, more efficient and rewarding way of recruiting new players into the Jupiter Guild. We have changed it from the old recruiting process to make it more fun, yet also more of a challenge. Thats why we play anyway isnt it? Its not too tedious or difficult as to scare the sort of players we want experience capable ones. (If you are already a good player with cash and ability, you are after fun otherwise why come?)
The process, detailed here, hopes to achieve the following:
An opportunity to prove the potential member is going to stick with the JG - ie its not whim or quick cash opportunity.
A chance to check out the person for adherence to rules, RP and willingness to fit in with JG.
A chance to educate the person on how the JG operates and what it expects of its members.
A chance for the recruit to taste and see if they want to stay.
Changes to our diplomacy
As many players have told us in the past, you can never be truly neutral. Well, now we are not. Allied: All Zoners, Friendly: IMG, The Benitez, GMG Neutral: All other factions, unless otherwise stated Unfriendly:Outcasts, Hessians, Lane Hackers Hostile: Molly's, anyone who threatens any zoner anywhere
[font=Impact]Changes to our Trade-Wing
The Trade-Wing's priority has been shifted from money-making to RP supply runs. We will be emulating the Zoner Trader NPCs as much as possible, completing food supply runs to the Benitez and Corsairs. Please note that the Trade-Wing is not a separate entity to the JG, and anything that happens to the traders will be dealt with accordingly, and with force if need be.
Changes to our services
We will no longer be offering our bounty services. We will be focusing on escorting, body guarding, RP trade, and defending Zoner bases. To reflect this large change, we will all now wear the Zoner ID and tag and RP profusely whilst doing so.
Please give us feedback on these changes!

This is Slater, I am sending this message in a bit of a fury. While I was passing the Ross Planetoid area in Cambridge, I was suddenly and deliberately attacked by a ship bearing your faction name. This attack on a fellow bounty hunter will not be tolerated.
I ask that the pilot under the name [\JG/]Killerx422"Gunner be taught a lesson in which he respects his felow hunter and not attack them without warning or reason.
Should this pilot attack me again, I will be forced to properly defend myself and terminate the pilot.
I do not wish to provoke the Jupiter Guild, but I will not be pushed around by them.

Do you wish to file for a compensation of lost equipment.
I am not a native English Speaker, so i make grammar errors.
But it annoys me when people make silly comments about that... especially brits who for the most part can't speak their own language let alone anyone elses!

I was unable to get any screenshots of anything during the short skirmish, since if I attempt to take a battle image, the computer will freeze for 3 seconds, in that time I have been known to take heavy damage from computer failure.
I did not lose any equipment and managed to vacate the area, I wasn't going to escalate things any further than they already gotten.
I am glad some action is being taken, and I thank the speedy response.

It has come to my attention the the member in question is a member who is also in probation ie not part of the guild completely yet. While this does not excuse his actions, the Guild is extremely sorry for what happened. It is likely that the said member will have his membership terminated completely.
If there are any matters which we must sort out, please contact me to do so.
