I. Background
The end of the Gallic Wars left a lot of pirates flying under Letter of Marque abandoned, confused or even angered against The Crown. The very few who remained tried to get back into normal lives, but sometimes the cry for loot and glory was stronger than a boring job at Bowex or Gateway. Not everyone of the even got pardon for their illicit actions prior joining the Privateers, being chased away by actions of the Bounty Hunters and Crown's Police authorities after whatever left of it. The IMG also refused to integrate former unlawfuls into their ranks.
The series of conflicts left Bretonia weakened, fall and apocalypse of Planet Leeds was a major blow to any Bretonian alike, and both left many hearts sour and angered, but unwilling to fraternize with common criminal underground of Bretonia Space. Many turned to piracy into far away Omegas, but many still wanted to make justice themselves, blaming Gallia for the destruction of, and as much as Liberty for not averting it, one of the most sprawling urban and industrial centers of the Northern Bretonia.
A small movement started to get into notion at the former Privateers' base in Leeds - Halifax. Loyal to the Queen Carina, albeit without Letter of Marque which would make their actions legal in the face of the colonial law, the group of Bretonian patriots started to look towards Taus in hunger for the glorious hunting grounds of the former organization, but also towards Liberty, many Bretonians seeing it as a fault behind Bretonia's downfall for not putting enough manpower to defend it.
