My name is Fujisaka Ki, Gunsō of KOI and formerly officer of then-Exiles 343 Dai Kokutai. I hope anyone still responds to this frequency from the times when BAF-BIS-343 still operated back in a time during Gallic War. I put a query to you in regard to the information about the blade in the attachments, which has been given to one of our officers, now Admirals, Goro Okamoto, supposedly after the service against common foe back in the time, Gallia. However, the weapon does not match anything I can recognize. It has engaving "Colonel Daniel Alexander, 828 AS" and on the blade additional "Many a mutual friend offers thanks from beyond the grave." I would like to know if you could backtrack that blade to anything known to your organization.

I await your response.

Konnichiwa,

It certainly is a surprise to see that this frequency is still active after all these years, GCHQ do a good job in monitoring else we would surely have never seen your transmission.

Now, while this is not normally a request that would cross my desk, it does intrigue me, hence my reply. While my memories of such a date are scarce, we have extensive archives that may very well document such a weapon and the inscription upon it.

Would you be able to provide me with any further details of the sword? Anything that may seem mundane may very well be a clue to the origins.

For now, I'll see what our archivists can dig up.

Ashers out.

Good day.

I think we are already past secrecy of the death of Admiral Goro Ogakata, since the entire Sirius is basically voicing their opinion about his death. At the same time, I hope we can keep some sort of secrecy, given the very delicate situation in regard to intercolonial politics. Namely, the blade in question has been found on the crime scene of the treacherous attack. The unified intelligence efforts within Kusari are still unsure about the attackers, but we have several leads many of which we would like to cross out from the board. I do not think Kingdom of Bretonia would have any use of the Admirals death, yet we might be looking into some sort of conspiracy that want to put hostilities between our two Houses as well. Our database also is pretty unclear who might be Colonel Daniel Alexander, since 343 logs are also mostly conflicting given the chaos during our own mess while Kusari Civil War.

Fujisaka Ki, out.

Well,

Our archivists have been able to pull some files that may be of use to your investigation. However, short of a diplomatic request via the Home Office, I won't be able to release them to you in their entirety.

I will share what I can, as it seems could be pulled into hot water if I do not.

From what I can deduce from the records of Colonel Daniel Alexander, they were a diplomatic attaché with the Exiles due to his background in linguistics and formal studies on Kusari history. I can also see that they studied at the New Tokyo University for a few years of their studies.

It would seem that at some point he was attached to the Battleship Matsamoto, where he worked closely with the late Admiral in an advisory role on behalf of Bretonia. Returning home in 824 AS, after the liberation of Leeds. That's all I should be sharing, unfortunately.

Given what you've told me, and from what I've found myself, I'd put money on the sword being a gift to the late Admiral. Given their close working environment, I'm sure a friendship would have developed. Obviously, this is my own deduction. The inscription, I cannot say.

I hope this can be of some use to you.

Ashers out.

Good day.

That is literally all the information I wanted to acquire, there is no need for further check up and we are glad that our suspicion has been satiated. Until next time and, hopefully, in way more desirable and less grim circumstances.

Fujisaka Ki, out.
