My name is Caitlyn Cross, and I am the Chairwoman of Orbital Spa and Cruise. I am contacting you today regarding the Liner Shetland. As you might have noticed, we have withdrawn her from the Newcastle System, and she is now in Orbit of Planet Curaco. This haves Several Reasons, one of them is now quite a long and eventful service life. The OS&C Board of Directors is Currently Discussing how to proceed with the Situation and what we shall do with the Shetland in the Future. Several Ideas were discussed so far, and ranged from a Complete Overhaul of the Vessle, which would mean a Complete Rebuild of the Ship. All the way to a Decommission and Replacement with a New Vessel that should bear the Same name.
As the Shetland has somewhat of a Cultural Value for Bretonia regarding her Service as a Hospital Ship during the Gallic War, we thought it was just right to involve the Bretonian Government in these Discussions. If we really decide to decommission the Shetland in her Current from, we would want to not just put her in the Mothball Yard like any other ordinary liner. We would like her to get the Honors that a ship of her Status and History Deserves. Therefore, the Idea came up within the Board that we could offer the Shetland to become a permanent exhibition piece of the Leeds Memorial. We would offer the Ship for 1 Credit to the Bretonian People as a sort of Symbolic Price. Also, OS&C would put her back into her internal State as she was during the Gallic War. She might not be able to serve as a Liner Anymore, but we believe that she would make verry Fine Museum. We would also welcome help from Bretonian Scientists and Veterans in this Endeavour. After all the ones that served and got treated on, then Shetland might know best how to preserve her Legacy into the Future. So that all Following Generations may never forget what sacrifices their ancestors had to make to keep Bretonia free.
Once this is done, we would like to meet with the Bretonian Tourism Bureau to decide on a Location for the New Shetland to be anchored. After all, there should always be a Shetland in Bretonia that offers a good holiday to the people of the Kingdom. But this is a Matter that we can discuss after we have dealt with the Current Shetland, and hopefully after we have found a solution that treats the old Lady with the Dignity and Respect that she deserves.
Safe Skys,
Caitlyn Cross
