We did some business earlier in the year. I do hope that those ships you were working on are performing well enough, and I do hope that you have a good enough amount of time to talk. We noticed the types of ships that moved on through, along with the battlecruiser itself that you docked, and figured you either have a penchant for getting your hands on things or you know someone who does have that gift.
To be short, I need two ships of the Combat Service Freighter type. They need to be clean - clean as can be found for Junkers. I mean no bulletins for their sale to another party, electronic signatures that the Junkers know they’ve been lost, nothing of the sort. They need to have simply disappeared, and to reappear with us. There can be no question that if they did reappear, they would simply be a Junker vessel, no suspicion involved.
So you want me to appropriate two ships from one of the most interconnected folk, make them vanish and somehow let them reappear in your hands squeaky clean.
I'm going to assume that you already know how expensive this ordeal can get - to the point you probably asked yourself twice wether the value of these ships is really worth it in the end.
I'll see what I can do. Lets talk payment, Miss Blake.
What does Bristol's other side of the business have to offer? What do you do when no one's looking?
I’m glad you understand the difficulty of this contract. That’s why I reached out to you, instead of reaching out to some other independent agents I have in mind.
As far as our side in this arrangement, aside from the credits we might have for this contract, we mine while no one is looking, at least in Galileo, salvage what can be done in Bering and Ontario, and mine what can can in Pennsylvania.
We also offer connections. Liberty’s underworld, some of Rheinland’s, some of Kusari’s, the IMG and GMG, we have…well, friends is never the best word for the connections one might make here, but it is a word for some of them. If you have a need for a meeting with one of those, just name them and we’ll see what can be done. Bristol has dealings, whether that’s a supplier or for defensive interests, and really it’s as simple as that…for now.
Well! It appears we can be of use to each other then. To get your CSFs, I'll need something that can fetch me said ships without actually having blow them up. I want you to salvage a Liberty Navy Fighter for me -- the so called 'Defender' should be more common in Bering. It wouldn't hurt if it could also be piloted from the get go. Refurbished parts, second hand... put what you want in it. I'll give it a touch-up later. It will play an important part in getting your ships. That shouldn't be difficult for someone like you to get it done.
On top of that I'd like to ask you for some assistance with the GMG. They've got something I want -- one of their Very Heavy Fighters, to be more precise. A friend of mine really wants one, and I can think of no better reward for a job well done.
Two ships for two ships. It sounds like a fair trade to me -- well... one of them is almost mandatory, if you want to see your Junker Freighters this year.
I think something can be arranged, as far as a BDR F-8 "Defender" - I agree that the vessel will more than likely be a Defender in name and hull only. Some of the parts used for the vessel are heavily proprietory, not the kind of thing we might be able to get in Bering, but it should be enough to hold up to scrutiny. She’ll be flyable from the get-go, though, that’s for certain. We’ll start looking for suitable candidates.
As for the T-493-VHF "Benzaiten", that will likely be easier to acquire. I’ve put in a few calls to a friend in Galileo. We’ll see if GMG or any of their subset clans will respond well to it.
