300 Million Bounty...

I don't think anyone in their right mind would put out a 300 million credit bounty and NOT TELL ME. I mean COME ON. I'm the one who's been reelin' in the big ones. Only one I've ever missed was the one on Angel. But I was greedy, and didn't mob her with five other people!

And besides that, there is NO ONE NAMED "DARK" IN RM. I RUN THAT FACTION. I KNOW FOR SURE. IF THERE IS THEY SHOULD D*** WELL TELL ME. RM NEVER HAS A BOUNTY OVER 8 MILLION CREDITS UNLESS THEY DO SOMETHING OUTRAGEOUS. (Like destroy a fleet in a Starflier)

Anyway........ Hackers or not..... Bounty is pointless. You cannot collect a bounty via the forums UNLESS it was posted on the forums. A bounty sent through PM's should only be collected using PM's. Of course, the person who gave the bounty doesn't always pay. That is why some need persuading is nesecary at times. Publicly announcing you scammed the person who put out the bounty, is not smart.

Trust me, bud. Before I came to Disco, I bounty hunted on a different server. A lot of times I have to chase people halfway across sirius for them to pay up.

Piloting 2 ships at a time is possible. I've done that too.
Now, fighting successfully with 2 ships is really difficult. Unless your enemy is a newb and you an ub3r 1337...

When the -=?=- was on the server, i used to trade with 2 chars. A train and a sabre formed up with my train. That way, if a -=?=- attacked me i would leave the train running and engage with my fighter. but from that to handle 2 ships in combat at the same time.... thats hard to do unless you are trained in doing 2 things at the same time with your brain, and have 2 8-key mouse... I have been training hard to achieve the ability of making 2 different things at a time, and i can tell you that is hell of hard in tasks where you need to use the same sense to do two things..

All bounties must be posted on the forums ? ANd we'll set a cap limit on how high the bounty can go.

Would that work for all parties involved?

And no, I don't think all bounties should be posted on the forums. Of course, if they are made in private, they should STAY in Private.

If you can't get your payment (as teh bounty hunter), chase 'em around a bunch until they pay you.

Wolfpack, that would solve nothing. For one, people would STILL do it in private. Also, cap limit. The bounty amount is decided by the person paying. If he wants a high amount, whats from stopping him? You can't force someone to make a low bounty just because you want a cap. That would just make more people do it privately.

What i meant by "Cap limit" is by setting the highest you can go on a bounty to.. say..
something reasonable like $300 mil or whatever.

IMHO, setting a bounty the size of $300 mil is insanely stupid. That's enougy to buy a system, and frankly I don't see a point in it.

But that's my opinion. *shrug* I won't set the rules, unless Igiss, Korrd and I are all in agreement <G>

and BTW, if it's in the server rules, they have to be abided by. Violation of server rules would not be a good thing <G>

Never, under any circumstances, will you find a bounty from the RM without it being posted under our bounty list and publicly announced.

That's the first thing. Second is I can't think of a single person who pay 300 million for ANYTHING, except perhaps the best Battleship in existance (Which is Admin only, and they don't care about price). Or perhaps a planet.

The most expensive battleship i've seen is around 120 million, so 300 million is still a bit overkill. If someone says, "I want this guy dead and i'll pay 300 million" expect to be screwed. Either they're really dangerous (And thus someone you want to stay away from), the bounty poster has no intention of paying you (Probobly want's to kill you as well, so he/she won't have to), or the person is trying to get the guy killed for silly reasons/ is seriously pissed off/ has mental issues, and once again has no intention of paying you.

In short; high pay is good, but too high pay stinks just as high.

The only other thing that is 300mil is buying AW for help in a war (or to war by itself). Thats the only other thing I know of thats 300mil.
