Well upon launching from Cambridge today I saw that S/D-Honour was engaging an outcast trader Danny.Archer. Since he has a fat bounty on him as well at the standard for being an outcast. I joined the chase at S/D-Honour's request. This guy was a hard nut to crack. He also seems to have a deal with Cambridge research facility docking crew, since he was allowed to dock there twice.

Since he was not going to come out with us sitting right out side of the dock. Agent Honour suggested waiting for him at the Omega-5 Jump hole. After a short wait he appeared

D.Archer01

We beat on him and proceeded to follow him into Omega-5 after he fled through the jump hole

D.Archer02

He managed to jump back through to Cambridge and lost us for a while. While Honour guarded the Omega-5 jump hole I took a quick run over to the Omega-3 jump hole to make sure he did not try to slip out that way. As luck would have it he came back to the O-5 hole and Agent Honour bagged him. Since Agent Honour got him I am leaving it to him to claim the bounty

He was a very tough nut. His ship was no where near nimble enough to escape us, but it still took a long time to down his shields and blast through his armor.

After that I noticed APM-Sagittarius was up on the net and I asked if he wanted an escort. He did. So I shot off to meet him in Stuttgart. It was a fairly quiet run to cambridge. After that we headed over to South Shields in Newcastle. I did get fired upon by a rogue who was camping the jump gate into Newcastle but he fled after lauching one missle salvo. Apparently just having an escort will cause pirates to rethink their profession

Escort01

One note- we encountered a trader with the [LT] faction tag who was a member of the navy. Apparently not all the [LT] folks are running with the Corsairs.

Unforuntatly I had to dock and could not continue on to Lepizeg (sp?) in Dresden with the APM-Sagittarius. A very busy and profitable day.

Hope this channel is secure. I don't like people knowing what I'm thinking and what I'm doing....

After completeting preliminary checks on my new Hammerhead and reporting in to the Doghouse I had little to do for a while in Bretonia. Myself and Special Agent Cutter patrolled for a short time in California and the surronding area but there was no rats to be flushed out.

After Cutter went off duty, the APM transport Saggittarius, who required an escort. I volunteered and headed back to Bretonia, linking up with the transport at Cardiff Mining Station. We proceeded through Omega 3, and then into Omega 7 where we ran into trouble.

I picked up a known Corsair, Outlaw Man on the system comms threatening some other trader, and we took a diverted route in order to try and avoid the rat. As it happened the Corsair had two other rats with him, though I didn't get any scans on their ships. We moved straight toward the jumpgate, but the rats came in to intercept. They caught up just as we hit the gate. They ordered the APM transport to halt, but I broke off and engaged, which allowed the transport to get through. Fortunately all three of them were tied up with me so the transport got away. After a short scrap I thought I needed to get back to protecting the transport and so tried to dock with the gate, but unfortunately the automatic docking system locked my ship in place for just a second two long and within seconds the three rats had converged on me. My ship was destroyed, but fortunately I managed to launched my escape pod in time.

I was tractored in by a Zoner on his way to Freeport 1 and have since found my way back to Sheffield.

I'll have a replacement Hammerhead in space as soon as possible.

Those rats have made a foolish mistake. I won't let them live this down, they're on my... personal... list... For your information they were

Outlaw.Man
[LT]Karolis|WaterCooled
[LT]Ed|Paladin

The rats in pursuit of us.

Rest assured, those rats will pay.

Varron, out.

I just want to commend your agents on their work today. I had three different escorts for trading missions today. In all of the escort runs, there were encounters with assorted pirates - two of which ended in gunfire and loss of S/D ships. However, in each and every case, the S/D pilots performed their jobs and the APM cargo was delivered safely to its destination.

Kudos to your pilots - they're doing their jobs well.

[color=#FF0000]Assignments, Promotions and Updates

Standing Orders Addendum:
1. Although the BPA has bountied them, =CR= vessels are not to be hunted. If you encounter them, inform them on private comms that it is not the intention of the Guild to do anything that would jeopardise our relationship with the IMG. We need access to IMG bases.

2. Corsair reprisals as expected were unsuccessful. Increased Corsair activity including incursions into Leeds, disruption of Cambridge trade lanes and further attacks on trade vessels have been dealt with in no uncertain terms on two occassions in the past few days. An open contract on ALL Corsairs still stands. Enagage targets of opportunity wherever you encounter them. Provide evidence for kills - ID and kill message. As before, report kills here and we will process the claim. Avoid their massed fleets. The Lt field a missile gunboat which will rip apart any fighter in seconds. Be advised they can rally support in minutes and appear determined to overpower any resistance using overwhelming odds. They have targeted us sepcifically. Do not hesiatate to call for back up. Be assured they are doing the same.

3. Wanted in Liberty, the criminal known as Halberd of Death, is a mercenary who recently offered his services to deal with these Lt ships. As much as some of you might want to seek revenge for past wrongs, we are going to give him a pass for the time being. Without his help, we would have lost many pilots recently and I'm sure Her Majesty's forces are eager to keep him around.

4. Check the Liberty Navy's contract aimed at disrupting the smuggling of cardamine. Read carefully. The Taus are a war zone so caution is advised.

PLEASE CHECK ZONES AND OPERATING PROCEDURES BEFORE COMMENCING

Details:
This position is open:

The Agency has commissioned a repair ship for fleet support and repair which is nearly ready for deployment. The Revolver is a damage control vessel which carries components essential for shield and hull repair. Any person of Agent rank can apply for the position via PM. It carries with it a promotion to Special Agent - Maintenance and Fleet Support.

Other news
"Sniffer" Martinez is retiring from active duty owing to ill health so the Stix is going to need another comms and scanner operator. Arrived at Sheffield today and took the Manta out of the shop. She is looking good. Re-armed and re-fitted the engines and took her out for a test spin. She still works like a charm. Handed her back to the mechanics for a good once over. That was it for today.

"Hey, Harvey - after the last issue with corsiars in Cambridge, the Navy had asked for help over there, and Stix and I took our ships over there. I had left mine docked at Cambridge, but in light of your recent orders, last night I relocated back to New London."

There was another incursion of Corsairs in Cambridge today. Numbers were small and there was no organization but there presence was felt. Agent Starr, Recruit Deschains and myself had just jumped to Cambridge from New London. As we were taking the trade lane a Capt Jack suddenly appeared on scanners. Both Deschains and I were already merged with the lane when Agent Starrs ship was destroyed by a hostile ship. Concerned I pulled us off the lane eh, no sooner had we done so, Capt Jack pulls out of the lane beside us. A Corsair Gunboat!

http://i319.photobucket.com/albums/mm447/P...PC/screen13.jpg

This Corsair was hungry enough to throw himself at the Dogs alone. As we were only in fighters against a gunboat we immediately set to work. Recruit Varron was already en route to our location while we kept the gunboat stalled by dodging and hitting his shields with mini razor shots eh. Varron joined in but unfortunately Recruit Deschains was taken down.
Now this gunboat had my ship as his target. I dropped the offensive and immediately went into evasive action with an occasional shot with my Mini to remain a threat. This allowed Agent Varron to place himself to the rear of the gunboat enabling himself to open up on the Corsair with impunity.
This was for from over eh. Recruit Varron took the opportunity of not being targeted to call in for reinforcements while continued to draw the gunboats fire my way. Senior Agent Bobafett and Special Agent de Virgo responded on comms and were proceeding to our location with bombers. We were warned that they were coming in from East Liberty and that we will have to hold him off. And hold him off we did eh.
I wasn't able to keep it up much longer as his occasional hit on my ship was still devastating and the swarm of grunts hindered my shields ability to regenerate. I had just run out of bots/bats when he stopped targeting me and switched to Varron. Well....... It was my turn. Varron immediately went on the evasive and I took his place behind the gunboat to give him a taste of my mini razor.
In came the cavalry, QCR's Mark Mcenna and John Redmond showed up guns blazing. Since the Corsair had already used up all its bots/bats out combined force was able to "eat" his ship apart bit-by-bit till there was nothing left but little particles, with the rest of S/D showing up to have their cockpits sprayed with debris.

But it wasn't over eh. There was still a Corsair in the system, hiding. We spread out to all access points in the system. Reporting all clear areas we are able to herd him to the nebula surrounding the JH to Omega-5.
We didn't pursue him in but waited on the Cambridge side. Sure enough he came back in and with an OPG too eh.
We split into two forces with S/D going for the OPG and the remaining QCR taking on the other Corsair.
We located the OPG near Cambridge Planet with our S/D wing coming in at different directions.

My part in this battle was brief to say the least. In the ensuing furball I turned around to lign up my targeting reticle on him just at the right moment when he was doing a jousting run. Needless to say my Manta couldn't withstand the direct firepower of his Praetorian, and I was just barely able to eject my escape pod.
Local authorities brought me in and I'm hitching a ride to Sheffield until my ships is repaired

while on patrol today we encountered numerous corsair threats in the Cambridge system. Upon closer inspection it was discovered that the threats were indead of the Corsair variety and were originated from the Omega-5 Jump Hole. Myself, the Athena's Memory, Bobafett, and Special Agent La Rouche tracked down and interdicted one threat in particular [OPG]Black.Dog. This was (possibly still is pending medical attention and interrogation) one fine pilot. Superior aim, and a fast ship to boot!

By the time i enterred the fray the furball was already in full swing so i checked my weapons and dove in.
there are alot of sketchy details about the entire fight, it was so fast and furious in there that i barely remembered to snap a photo at its conclusion. The OPG pilot somehow got behind agent La Rouche and took him out of the fight early on and so it was down to 3 pilots (2 bombers and my trusty manta) and so it stayed for quiet some time.

Athena's Memory was next to go. not sure how it happened as i was dodging vollies of fire at the time of destruction. at some point in this mess between the destruction of these 2 craft an independent naval officer joined the fray and proved to be quite useful in the destruction of black dog, pulling the attention off of myself numerous times giving me time to fire a few well aimed mini razor shots and sidewinders.

Ultimately Black dog was destroyed. The indie pilot got the winning shot, as we proved to be just a little too much for the overly confident pirate to handle. not to take away from his skills, like i said this guy is / was good.

All in all a well fought battle. With us as the victors. the best way to be. I am sorry for the damage to our 2 bombers, however with some medical attention our pilots should be up and flying again in no time.

Message reads:

While on patrol in California, I received a incoming message that several of our new members were being attacked in Cambridge. Using available intel, I saw that the attacker was in a Corsair Gunboat. I immediately left station for California, as the only ships in Cambridge were fighters. As I was in my final leg of jumping into Cambridge, the corsair was destroyed.

We rendevoused at Cardiff, and then noticed that another corsair appeared to be in system. We immediately split up to search the system. Agent Starr noticed the corsair near the Omega 5 jump hole. He apparently decided to be cute, and jumped back to O-5. Our agents thought the fight was done, and started to head to Cambridge to refit. I stayed to monitor. The corsair Sarda jumped back into Cambridge, and immediately jumped back to O-5 when he picked me up on sensors at 6 klicks.

I decided that he was being really cute, and moved in closer to the jump hole. Patiently waiting, sure enough he came back in. A few shots into his shields convinced him to leave again, and we began to think this was going to be it. Rendevousing at Cambridge, we were discussing what had occurred with a member of the navy when, over the system com channel, we heard this pirate demanding payment from a trader in Cambridge. We immediately converged and found TWO corsairs in Cambridge.

Whoever said the Praetorian bomber wasn't very manueverable was sadly mistaken. Either that or the OPG pilot was just extraordinary. I'll give credit where credit is due - he was good. Special Agent La Rouche ended up losing his ship fairly early due to the combination of del Cid shield busters and some heavy gun. The OPG pilot must've decided that I was his next target. There was some serious furball going on for quite a while, and due to ongoing damage, I was giving serious consideration to breaking off because I was getting dinged up REALLY good. My controls locked up after one serious hit, and that was all he needed.

My ejection seat functioned perfectly, and I got to watch the rest of the battle. I was picked up by friendly forces and returned to Cambridge for re-equipment.

Message reads:

Good Evening Brian,
I've noticed your fleet has been expanding and business has been good. I called in a couple of your agents to escort me to Rostock to pick up some equipment for some of the finer ships we build. Agent Starr and Special Agent de Virgo responded.
The trip to Rostock was uneventful, with no major hindrances along the way. As I am unable to enter Omega 56, your agents went in to pick up the cargo and brought it too me on Rostock. Special Agent de Virgo was having difficulties with his ship's navigation systems and had to go to Capetown for repairs. Meanwhile Agent Starr and I set our headings for Cambridge in New London.
I made the decision for us to dock at Stuttgart in case we ran into complications along the way. Good decision. As we approached Stuttgart's orbit two Corsairs with the designate (hs)-------- on their ships. We docked on Stuttgart and prepared for our escape. I undocked to meet them. They scanned my ship and boarded. As I wasn't carrying any commodoties they found only an empty cargo bay. They kidnapped all my crew instead. I only had my autopilot to get me to the next base and nobody to operate ant of my systems. This wasn't enough for the Corsairs, either that or they realized after that I had ship equipment, and without a word they began unloading their torpedos on my ship.
They were unable to break through my shields and my autopilot tookl me away from them. I can't say the same for Agent Starr. He managed to bring one down before his ship was neutralized. The trip to Cambridge was quiet after that and when I reached Planet Cambridge I met up with S/D-Provider, commanded by Special Agent LaRouche, and transfered the equipment to his ship.
