now, the BD ID states much much clearer how its shared and not shared. - of course, the one is a battleship, the other a fighter - but really what exactly is the difference there. - we wouldn t like to see zoner juggernauts used by some GMG or the order.

Hm. That's a good argument.

But I ask you - the original complaint was with BD bomber, the Red Cat, why so uptight about the BD HF? Personally I wouldn't say it was overpowered, its small, but it has a proper hitbox, vanilla wireframe, low-ish armor, small gen etc. Anyway I can't be bothered arguing about stats, because I'm obviously wrong.
I certainly don't think it indecent to want to fly a ship for the reasons I mentioned previously.

Also, it seems that it would be impossible to some people to accept that BD ships be used by GC, and to me it looks like either: I'm not allowed it because some people just want to be mean, or because it's "better than the Eagle and that is bad." I certainly don't see it as OORP, because we can roleplay it out. I'm actually in the process of doing ingame RP to allow me to fly a Blood Dragon.

And the whole Zoner Jug thing, well IMO a battleship is treated differently to a VHF, sorry.

to be honest.... if it was not the BD HF... but lets say... the kadesh HF. not a single person would complain about it. - fact is that the BD HF ( or VHF, - its not a HF, but a VHF by its stats ) is one of the best - if not the best fighter in the game ( if equipped with anything but dragon guns )

so the concerns are there cause it is - in the opinion of most players - about ditching the eagle for something better. .... be asured that if you were all flying the kadesh fighter, no one would say a word.

there has been a lot of stretched roleplay about aquiring the blood dragon fighter without being a blood dragon. ( and the red cat as well ) thats why people are focussing on that ship much.

i think it should not be impossible, cause i believe that RP can make you use anything, even a rheinland battleship as a GC. but like it was said - once there is too much of one thing, it becomes a bit strange. - now - like i said, i don t know how many of the active GCs really fly a red cat or a BD, but if it is true that its like all but one player - its too much. ..... a bit like as if all LSF / Navy used ... uh... buckshots:)

Well so far every GC I encountered was in a catamaran or BD HF, excluding one, Evie Knight. I can get the idea of the Eagle not feeling like a Kusari - like fighter, but it's basically the best the GC have, so I deal with it. I think the "Eagles can't compete with Chimaeras" argument is a bit funny though, because it's not true.

Also catamarans are OORP, but looking at the bugs from the Roc MKI, it's acceptable I guess, but I still fly a Roc for RP purposes. I see nothing wrong with a faction that has a limited amount of allied ships for those who've done an outstanding job or are high ranking. Fact is, it's a bit silly to critique someone else's RP when your best excuse is an Eagle can't do this...

Now, I am by no means a great pilot, so I don't see how an Eagle can't play its part against KNF in PVP terms, and as far as RP terms go it should've been predominantly Eagles in my opinion. So far the only agreeable point on GC usage of BD ships is from Jamez, who isn't making up his own facts to justify the use of the BD over the Eagle.

Though I believe the Blood Dragon is overpowered or has a massive infocard error, as it's labeled a Heavy fighter. Thing is it has four class 10 slots, and a class 10 shield, while the armor is fine, and the Eagle plant ( I think) which would also be fine for a more power Heavy Fighter.

That's pretty much my only gripe with the GC, since as far as I know atleast none are trying to RP males.

And just to mention, when GC were just starting (Kuraine knows about it probably) they promised they will only use one or two BD HF's for highest ranking people.
Now it seems that every member is allowed to fly one.

The Eagle is a good ship. I've flown one, it is by no means weak. BUT, It's generic, and i hate that.
I hope you can see the point I'm trying to make here, if I wanted to fly an Eagle i'd be a Zoner or a freelancer or whatever. In the GC I wanted a different experience. The GC are different to the BD no matter what, they fight for different reasons.

I know if I was still in LSF and read this I'd be thinking: "FLY EAGLES!!!" Nothing to do with the LSF, but that'd be my 'outsider' view.

By the by, Evie Knight is my char, I'm flying a Griffin at the moment... it's a long story.

EDIT: Chopper, that story of yours just looks like a pisstake, and still gives me no real reason to change my views. And about the BD HF's, well, not many people in GC actually fly them, so Kuraine kept his word.

When I meet 4 GCs and 3 are in BD bombers, 1 in BD fighter... and they have krakens/codes/infernos mounted.... what faction are they?

Actually, the only weapons the GC use (or should use, but i'm pretty sure i've sorted that out now) are disinfectors and suncannons. I don't think many of them (if any) use daitos.We do use blood dragon ships almost exclusively at present, although this will change hopefully if/when Jinx is able to finish off the GC bomber/VHF/LF XD. I will not force every member to ditch their red cat, though I will encourage them to do so. But I myself will be buying a GC bomber, and any new recruits who get a bomber will have to get a GC bomber from then on.

We only have two gunboats and nothing bigger than a gunboat. Yes, we are more bomber heavy than fighters, although most people do have a fighter as well. We do have quite a few people who fly their fighters, they're just not around all the time.

One of the biggest problems is that currently a bomber solves most situations that we come across, and it goes the same for many other pirates and lawfuls too. But I hear that they're all getting a certain amount of nerfing for 4.85 *shrugs* they certainly need it, to some extent at least.

Finally, while the Eagle may be a nice ship, flying it just does not fit in with the Kusari aesthetics and scenery, and just looks totally out of place. At least the Blood Dragon vessels fit, and i'm more about the RP and aesthetics than PvP anyway (since I largely suck in anything smaller/bigger than a destroyer).

"Blood Dragon Gunboat" it actually is the BD HF, it's a glitch with the list.
When they fly the proper GB it says: "Dragon GB"
But as most people know I have exactly the same thoughts. 95% of the time GCs fly Dragon bombers. 5% Blood Dragon fighters.

Actually, Lane Hackers are using Borderworld ships by Vanilla.
So, Dagger, Scimitar, Sabre, Falcata - all perfectly well in RP for them.
It's not 'allies' ship, since BW ships are not Outcast ships.
It is a ship line used by Hackers, Hessians, LWB, Bundies and some others.

Small correction, the LWB uses Civilian Ships, and that will never be subject to change if I have something to say about the matter.

My point being, Kusari is becoming polarized if you continue this way.
Imagine now FA starting to fly lawful Catamarans and Chimaeras around.
Hogosha too.

I know it was just a hypothetical, but I think I can speak for Zelot as well in saying that this will never happen on the AFA part of the spectrum, even if some of us (Yours truly included) can currently justify it in RP, and others might be able to later.

Jamez, instead of thinking of the Eagle as something only the Zoners on Freeport 9 produce, try thinking of it in terms of this metaphor (Kurraine is going to laugh so hard if he remembers this):

Everyone makes cheese, right? The US, Canada, Columbia, Argentina, Switzerland, Austria, France, Russia, Kenya, Australia, etc. all make cheese. How many of those cheeses are sold commercially around the world, though? Only the cheeses that taste the best and have the highest production capacity.

Now, we can apply the same theory to commodities and ships. Everyone makes simple commodities such as Basic Alloys and Food Rations, but only the highest qualities and largest producers can sell them commercially, like Dortmund Station and Planet Cambridge. It works the same way with commercial ships. Because the Eagle is the ship that most civilians fly, it is safe to assume that Kusari, Liberty, Bretonia, and Rheinland produce them in limited quantities for their corporations and for local sale. This means that the Eagle is a national ship for all nations, not just the Zoners, who produce them in high quantities.

I have to say, Kurraine, that, aside from asking you to remember Xoria's cheese metaphor that I like using so much, I'd like to say that you don't seem very convincing with anything that you're saying to justify the use of the RC in RP. It has been argued on several occasions that the BD don't give out their ships, even to the GC. I do believe that there is also vanilla lore that states that fact exactly.

It's not the fact that you're using the RC and HF, it's the fact that you are using them exclusively and not restricting them at all. It's not a big deal to use the RC and HF, but they have to be restricted because of the RP posed by them of being hand made for their pilots. That view has to be respected, even if the Roc is bugged and the GC do not have a shipline. I don't think the GC necessarily need a shipline, even, just like the LWB, Unioners, Xenos, FA, Gaians, Bunschuh, Lane Hackers, Mollies, and Rogues don't need their own, personal shipline. I don't really think they have the resources, manpower, or motives to make their own shiplines. That isn't the point, though. Chopper, Mjolnir, Jynx, and I all believe that you should at least put some restrictions on the Red Cat and Blood Dragon HF because of how they fly, and stick to the Civilian Line otherwise, as was vanilla RP.

My personal view is that people should stick to their ships. I was dead-set against the LWB using anything but the Civilian line, but everyone else kept hammering me until I just gave up on it. To me, every LWB should be in a Griffin, Eagle, or Roc.

The same goes for the GC, Unioners, Gaians, and Xenos. If the NPCs fly the Civilian line, I think the player factions should, too. Quite honestly, even though I have the RP that my GC used to be a BD, I traded it in for an Eagle recently because of this conviction. I'd hope you guys would use the Civilian line for the same reasons, but I see that you'd rather keep the BD line. Whatever floats your boat, but you lose some respect from me for it, no matter what 'deals' you made...
