@Boba - This may not be an issue we can "let die". I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong here, but the part Scorn said about letting the community have input, and that input being heavily weighted in the discussion should remain a part of this discussion.
Is it a sore loser? or a sore winner? maybe. Is it a show of lack-of-judgement? maybe. It could be construed on BOTH sides of the argument as a need to find a middle ground.
perhaps the RP was originally written as "ooh, nice ship, me wants!" But perhaps now that RP has been played out ingame into something both believable AND achievable.

I've had plenty of my own problems with Hoodlum. From before he was admin, till after he was admin, and we still have problems today. Forum fights that make these issues look trivial. That being said, blaming Hoodlum for all of this is complete nonsense. First, the other admins have their own opinions. Saying what you do is not only an insult to Hoodlum, but to the rest of them as well. This isn't 'crap.' This is a player who is going around the forums complaining and accusing admins of bias and abuse of power because he didn't get his way. This happened once already with Scornstar in the past, and now it is happening again.
Not at all. Psi-Borg had worked out the RP beforehand, gotten permission from the relavant parties, and had already been RPing spectacularly before his special RP character got a Corsair Gunboat. Scornstar simply said he wanted the Lib BC and thats the way it was, no matter what others thought. That is NOT right, NOT the way it should have been done, and shows he cares nothing of other's opinions. Further, he had the Liberty Battlecruiser on the Harvester's ship list when they were unofficial.. When admins granted him official status, they told him to take it off the shiplist. Now he is here complaining because he couldn't RP it specially after already being told he was no allowed to get it.
Attempting to minimulize this is not aservice to the community. In fact I care about others as well as mine. I complain as other were not even able to post thier opinions. I made this thread to get opinions. If there is something I did different than PSI-Borg since Im being compaired to him its that I, started a faction, play on here every day help new folks and communicate with lots of members. Maybe being here sparaticaly has and not getting involved in forum descussions has helped him. After all if you disagree with no one you cannot gain enemies. But this is not about PSI-Borg I accually like him. On vent he's a good guy as well.
The things folks miss is I could have the ship if I want in 5 seconds from now. I just have to creat a new account. use the givecash command and fly one tradelane junction over and presto its mine.
However it's not about "haveing the ship" its about the motivations for it. The motivation and veriety is what drives me. Thats called RP.
I did start here with a fighter as well. I've clocked more hours than PSI-borg here for sure as I am here every day and he is not. I have been here for comeing on a year and the Harvester nearly as long.
We have good activity and lots of interfaction ties. We have members in the LSF, SOB, Corsairs, KNF, TAZ, TG, and tons of indies.
We do have alot of new folks as I am not a invite only elitist. I just require no sanction history and a forum presence. That being said only one of our units has ever been sanctioned officailly and a special RP forum came about from the flack. ( not a badge of honor)
The 500 mill rule came out right before we applied for faction status. Then after we paid we had to wait for 2 months to get our payment recognized and our faction reviewed.
Now we have two, JUST two units on the special RP forum for TWO individual characters as each must be applied separately, not the whole faction and I am told that "It would hurt the server" if I got my request. Our RP was in game. I did notify the faction leaders of our intentions when we first tried 4 months ago or before the time when PVP was turned off in New York.
So, the logic written for a ship is just a shield. All RPs are written for the ship. If they werent youd write your story and have admin assign your craft at the end. Yet everyone steers thier story to an end of thier chooseing.
I did not meandeer my way to a conclusion. I am playing a member of a robotic faction. Robots which are results oriented, obtuse in some areas whjile excelling at others. The faction is PVP heavy but thats what happens when you play a server antagonist. We are not the Care bots or the getalong gang. We are RPing heavyhanded machines, learning how to handle thier sentience, survival, and new place in surius since the days opf our back story.
I do point to other players and say "WHY". True. I hate doing that but it is important to point out decision makeing descepencies.
I was told I violated manners by posting some PMs. Well the way I saw it it was a conversation I was involved in and I'm allowed to tell other people what I talked about. After all the admin team should have no need to hide it. I did not swear, or insult. I simply asked why and was given only nebulous answers.
Answers that would equate to telling a western woman why she had to wear a burka in the Middle East.

This is not an explaination. This is the sort of pattern I wante to show by posting OUR PMs not THIERS. Its mine too. MY intellectual property too not just thiers. Yet they delete my post and lock them.
If thier desicion was just then why hide it. However it looks to me like censoring data to control opinion. So, while I ask my self why would I even whant to play where admin has a problem with me? I remind myself that is only admin that really has a problem with me. I realize they are waiting for me to slip in any small way and that I will be watched carefully.
Thats fine I dont break rules. I recieved my admin warning in a place where Admin warning dont go but in more public setting. I think this may give me destinction in a wierd sort of way. A deffinate sign of being treated differently.
I'll admit I am makeing alot of noise over this. I can accept a justified "No" that is for the good of the server but then the burden of proveing what the denial of a single ship prevents from happening is on any respectfull fair admin.
If I was provided how might I harm the server If I had my RP piece. I might back away. I did say might.
Why cause I rejected the whole "noobies will see it and copy" thats bull. The HF (Lane Hackers) have one too. "Built just for PVP" bull it's going to be kept in allied space after setup. Plus I get tons of PVP in my other ships as is. Dont need more. I then heard "we dont need a predominately unlawful faction to have a lawful ship" again not only do I point to the HF battle criuser again, but I add the OC/Brit battleship and OC/Kusari destroyer. Then I hear "you just wrote a story to get that ship that amounts to, LULS I GOT KILLED AND STOLE IT TO PWN" Well look at PSI- Borgs request. I like the guy but his request was about that simple and insta approved.
I hate pointing the finger here but if I allow folks to be so narrow minded and have tunnel vision just so they dont have to deal with the entirety of thier desicion and inconsistancey then it will never be addressed. I am doing no different than a lawyer citeing another court desicion to punctuate thier points in a separate case.
So, I see inconsistancy. I see an iron fistedness that refuses to give an inch for me and I am simpily not laying down for it. If admin is seen as so responsible then they need not fear haveing thier feet held to the fire every so often. They need not delete post that show thier decision makeing processes. If they are fair and just then this should not even be a feather to thier feet. Yet I cant help but think I struck a cord as they have been quick to lock and delete my post related to this and then make a public example out of me.
So my question to admin is not Do you like it? thats irrelivent for a unbiased board, the question is WHY? with out the evasion.
If I am to be an impeccible fortress of RP, then why must older admin affiliated factions not? And why must I be impeccable while admin white washes thier conversation with me. If I am so wrong then admin has nothing to lose by people seeing it. In fact if I'm so wrong then it would only reenforce THIER points.
One thing is for sure this smacks of injustice and personal agenda. They control the desicions and censore the evidence. Is this how things should be ran?

Mine was over a denied ship request that I RPed for. Then when denied I was told that unlawfuls should not have a lawful cap ship, yet another unlawful faction does. One of the admins very own.

And while I know I'm not liked by all, and my RP is not enjoyed by everyone. I also know that anyone who was in a position to complain on the appropriate forum did not. The admin made a decision unilaterially and said no and then locked it so they would not have to endure input from the community.
I had others speak up for me that I didnt think I would but that is convienently gone now. I was threatened to be removed from the forums if I posted a scype message of other on here.
Now I was in the message too so its every bit my property as it is thiers but the threat stands. Whats more is I got a admin notice in a place not appropreate for admin warnings, for the only thing I could guess is maximum embarassment.
I try to reason and all I recieve is evasions. So, I will continue to post and get public opinion, as the public or the community means more to me than admin.

When you look at my record the only folks who I fight with is admin. I had a arguement with ROS when I started. However I learned alot there. I was wrong but I learned alot as they could not shut me up but had to talk and fight with me. Now, I have nothing but respect. Admin however just locks you. And in my case I was locked with no one complaining. Admin just locked it and said no. Thats no how the special RP thread is supposed to work is it?
I believe Igiss said it would be approved if no motivated, involved players had any unsatisfied concerns. However there were none. Folks know we stick to our protocals and those who slip dont slip for long we fix them.
I have no history of being sanctioned or being a bad person here in fact if Ive stepped on your toes tell me in PMs or make a Scornstar hurt my feelings thread.
Anyway I'm not going to discount the possibility that I am wrong but right now this smacks of personal agenda. So, if Harvester_00 is out whoreing you let it be known. It was posted for who deal with it know but now its locked.
Just remember how would you like to be locked out of your own thread if the only feedback you got was a single admin saying no and locking it. Not a single player posted a complaint and there were more days to go.
Please if you are going to comment about my choice there then read our back story before you make a uninformed statment saying its a "I stole it lulz" verbal defication. The only people who post against it are folks who would not be effected by it normally unless they came to our base of ops.
