I was undocking from the Battleship Norfolk in Cambridge system eh. At that same moment a piracy was just being concluded from ship designated Talena. A Pirate ID with Corsair IFF. Well after exclaiming my surprise at the gall of this pirate. I engaged Talena, she was flying a Corsair bomber so I was able to keep the upperhand with the agility of my Manta.
Well she realized her gig was up. Some of these pirates are smart eh? She engaged her cruise engines to make her escape. I tried to thruster up to get a few last shots but one of the Corsair Legionnaire's nearby rammed my ship and her escape was made good.

I know NY eh. I was in Connecticut earlier doing some practice with my bomber. My flight skills have been off and needed some refinement. Anyways.
So my heading was the California Jump Gate eh. My intended goal was to change two of my weapons. Just as I came to Fort Bush I stumbled onto this "furball".

So I stopped and seeing as they were occupied at the time I leisurely began running my scans. First noticed that they were holding hostages, particularly Bounty Hunter Pilots. (I've included a pic of one) I then got all their ID's. DW-Suzanaa was also contacting me of the situation, she hadn't reaized I was already there. Here are the ID's and Ships.

My closest target was Nexx and I engaged. Turns out DW-Swordfi$h was on him as well and we chewed up Nexx in no time. DW got the last say there.

My next target was the insane Solari. The others were swarming Vantaa eh. I was able to clash with Solari by myself for bit. Naturally Vantaa fell under the concentrated fire.

Solari decided to book it since he was now grossly outnumbered. Both DW-Swordfi$h and I gave chase. His range was far enough that I redirected myself to the California Jump Gate. I couldn't hold back my snicker when what was left of his ship was blown up by "grunts" heheh

I am currently working on the assignment. I have investigated part of the system. Due to recent ion storms, my level of activity has been lower than desired. However, I should have the rest of the system and occupant information within the next few days. Because of the sensitive nature of this investigation, I am working very low key - primarily spending time masquerading as an off-duty bounty hunter. (See itemized expense account, attachment 3, necessary food/drink expense at Stuttgart / Frieburg taverns)

As much as the government of Rhineland doesn't want to admit it, there already IS a large bounty hunter presence in Rhineland - they've been hired by Republican Shipping.




Background:

The Stuttgart system in Rhineland was founded as a food production colony for Rhineland.



Rhineland already has had the Red Hessian presence there - due to the mismanagement of the system and concession to Synth Foods, the LWB Farmers Rights group was formed in Stuttgart. And, of course, due to the proximity of Omega 7 to Stuttgart, there are also Corsairs present as well.

Be advised that this entire report is a work in progress, due to the ion storms. I will be reporting additional information under each category as information is gathered - however, I will not repeat previously transmitted information due to security concerns.

There are a variety of ships available for purchase at this base whose origins appear to be from alien technology. I have a brochure on these vessels that I will forward to you at a later time.

Previously unknown jumphole -

This jumphole, which had a large LWB presence nearby, is to the system north north-east of Frieburg.



Current Political Situation:

During the recent hostilities, it appears that Synth Foods used the corporate leverage to effectively take control of daily operations on Planet Stuttgart from the planetary government. Farmers on Stuttgart had previously been represented by the WWS to New Berlin. With this change in control, the farmers no longer had a voice in the government of their planet, and formed the LWB in response.



This is supported by recent news items as well.



An underlying cause for this appears to be that Synth Foods is manipulating the oxygen content on Stuttgart, and not using regular Planetform procedures in doing so.

Obviously, a people who feel their source of living threatened are going to attempt to seek redress. Unfortunately, it appears that they've chosen to do so with terroristic ways. Of course, a corporation is only responsible to their shareholders as well.



And it's not only Synth Foods, it's also Republican Shipping.



This has also resulted in news reports of issues at resort at Baden-Baden as well. I have not been able to confirm this first-hand as of this moment.



Enemy activity:

At this time I have been able to confirm the presence of entirely too many LWB ships at the JumpGate from Stuttgart into New Berlin. The vessels flown by these pilots tend to be evenly mixed between Hawk Light Fighters and Falcon Heavy Fighters.





The Hessians in system appear to primarily fly the Stilleto.
(Reference Basic Bounty Hunter training manual 3-1A - ship identificaion - for specs on this ship.)

On escort missions in the past, I have seen an Corsair presence in Stuttgart as well. I will include additional information in my next report.

There are additional jump holes and planets in this system. That information will be included in my next report.

I have finished my analysis of the Stuttgart region.



I am - for lack of a better term - amazed at the inability of the Rhineland military to figure out where the LWB base is located. Of course, if they're not interested in going into nebula remnants, then that explains that.




Of course, the minor detail that the LWB base is located so near a jump hole may have something to do with it. However, I was able to firmly locate the base and able to get a few shots of it as well in a fly-by.





Two major items have come from my study of this sector:

The Rhineland military is overworked and unable to meet their obligations to their citizens, as reported on the news:




The Rhineland Military already HAS bounty hunters working for them.




Now - these actions may be taking place without approval of the Rhineland government. However, it is possible that you could use this in your negotiations to mention, quite casually of course, that there already is a presence in Rhineland space.

Subject: Patrol Report

Due to mild food poisoning, Special Agent DeVirgo is unavailable to complete this report. (And I'm filing a complaint with APM about our ship's waste system - it hasn't worked right since the last rebuild!)

Anyway, we came back from leave on Baden-Baden, and started patrolling in Cambridge, watching scanners and hoping for one of the recent bounties to show up nearby. It was very quiet. The only issue was a trader in a Kusari ship docking at Cambridge, in violation of Bretonian law. After explaining the minor detail that he could be killed on sight by Bretonian authorities, Agent Devil.Starr joined us in escorting him out of Bretonian space.

Upon entering Manchester, we found the Liberty Rogue Gunboat 'Stormcrow' rather blatantly shooting things up. He said - "Oh, no, bounty hunters". Agent DeVirgo ordered him to heave to and drop the pilots - he ran for Magellan, instead - without firing a shot.

Coward.

Since there would be no bounty, we did not pursue, and then the intestinal disorder got the better of Agent DeVirgo and we had to dock at Sheffield. There was an ion storm as well that locked the station down, so we'll be here for a while.

Well took a spin through Texas, California and Colorado this morning..and other then one small time smuggler who i caught comming out of Beumont the area was clear. Tried to get a scan of the smuggler but he lucked out and got away when the LR locals disrupted the trade lane on me. I noticed S/D-Swordfish came up on the net and he was down in cambridge. He had an OPG in system with him and I started to make my way incase he needed back up.

Heh..the OPG cleared out just as i was passing Sheffield. So I parked it there for the day and will resume patrols in Bretonia on the morrow
