We need a GMG Player faction.

if there will be a GMG player faction then let me know! Right now I am a zoner that hapens to have a GMG tag and fliing a Zoner destroyer in Sig. 17 and all around in Omicrons. I am interested in some good RP. Let me know if something moves about this. Willing help in funding whole operation. :cool: Looking forward to this.

There isn't much reason for the GMG to be friendly with the Order either. The Zoner-Order alliance is a one of necessity, as they were being mauled by nomads in the omicrons. The GMG however, are not being mauled by nomads/wilde, so why would they need their assistance? The GMG also wastes Corsair pirates daily, so that wouldn't look good for the Order to be friendly with those who kill some of their closest allies.

I would think the GMG would rather focus on their own area, than make pacts with groups which don't mean anything to them.

I would pursue friendly relations with the Order. Not an alliance, but there is no reason to even be neutral. The Order has no reason to cause anything but aid to the GMG.

It's rumored that numerous weathy organizations around sirius fund the order. Of these, it's known for sure that the Zoners are one. I believe the IMG, GMG, and various smaller groups are also providing funds to The Order in private in exchange for protection against the nomads and wilde.

Other factions that may be donating funds to the order include Hogosha, Kishiro, Various individuals in the house governments/militaries, and independent freelancer and shipbuilding corporations (such as the company that builds the CT civilian ship line, and the kusari company that builds the Talarca Cruiser). All of these are either through alliances (hogosha) or through mutual benefit. Companies like Ageira and Kishiro only survive due to technological superiority funding them. Kishiro is the largest researcher and producer of optical chips, superconductors, and antimatter technology for Kusari, while ageira handles these in the rest of liberty - the order are digging up nomad and other alien technologies constantly, and would likely sell information regarding them to companies in order to fund their cause.

So, back on topic... it's entirely possible that the GMG is funding the order in exchange for protection from nomads/wilde and possibly in exchange for some technologies which benefit their operations - like improved defenses and better scanners for mapping the gas clouds.

Actually the nomads had nothing to do with it. Both the Zoners and The Order hold deep space exploration as one of their primary goals, they joined together for that purpose. Both groups are capable of defending themselves against the nomads on their own, but sharing information about new systems they find is very valuable to both groups. The zoners want new systems to live in, and The Order is hoping to find new alien technologies in those systems to improve humanity's defenses against alien threats.

The Wild are a constant threat to all three sigma systems, though more towards sigma 13 and the rheinland entrance. We've had several osirises and other Order ships out there keeping everyone safe from the wild, and dealing with the bounty hunters that bother us.

The GMG also wastes Corsair pirates daily, so that wouldn't look good for the Order to be friendly with those who kill some of their closest allies.

That's why we're not directly allied to the GMG, being on friendly terms and being allied are two seperate things. Friendly means you stay out of each other's business, and lend a hand when it's needed (against the appropriate enemy). As I said above, the GMG likely fund the Order privately as well (though unknown to the corsairs).

I would keep it neutral, with it leaning towards friendly. The fact is, the Order are tied heavily to the Sairs, and to the GMG the Sairs are an irritation.

Friendly is a bit too much, a nice neutral is as far as I would go.

The old GMG started a war with Kusari and Samura, thats why they were denied.

Good to know. That seems like an idiotic action, but either way: We wouldn't do that.

If anything, we would be hostile to Samura coming into the Sigmas. But would generally ignore them otherwise. That seems to fit the GMG's RP anyways.
