Personally, I don't see why there is any issue here at all.

All the Bs| are asking for are a page or two for the RP of the vessel. The intention of this is not to curb what you can or cannot fly, but the existence of random oorp capships that are so prevalent on this server. All you need is to put in an hour or two's time in getting something out. Besides, it will make things a lot more interesting for the rest of the community if you did.

Don't you think it's somewhat selfish to just keep your RP to yourself? I mean, that's what dumps and stories are for, guys.

Let's not turn this into a hormone-instigated all-out rebellion against authority... Be mature and think about what is being asked. A page or two of logical, thought-out RP isn't much.

I am a Zoner Federation Grand Admiral, (which is still growing.) and i work in an around minor. I have a battlestar. I have an RP in my character biography, Marvin J. Orpehlia, for the ship. Even though i belive making a RP for a ship is extremely out of the realm of FREE. LANCER. I do like the order so i put up with it for that sole reason. And why. WHY are there so many sudden capship nerfs and red tape?
If there is this much red tape id like to see a DOUBLE in capital ship armor. Then it would be worth all this horse manure.

It is not about being selfish. It is about not needing to write something up on the forums to have to fly a ship on the server. Some people I know can easily command a BB, but could not write a decent story at all. They are going to be disadvantaged by the "iron fist" of a not-so-active clan.

doesnt change the fact that this "new faction" will still need black squadron's permission to purchase cruiser/battlecruiser/battleship vessels in 4.85, and with the reasoning for creating such a faction, that permission will never be granted.

No. They do not need permission. Entry is given to all Order ID'd players.

I really don't think you get the point...

It's not about the story, it's about the effort. Believe it or not, this is an RP server. If you don't have an RP for your character, it really shouldn't exist. I remember Tenacity had one of the best RPs for his firefly I've seen in a long time, when he drafted up the deckplans of the ship.

Something like that is perfectly fine.

I think, however, that you would agree that the server would be a better place if the number of people sitting around in Osirises going, " : ), lol, pwnz0rs," decreased.

It doesn't have to be a story. I think that the Bs| just wants some certification saying that you have RP for the ship.

So, in that same sense, nooblet, it has nothing to do with stories. It's simply proof that you have RP for a ship on a server that requires you to RP.

I always thought of RP as thing where you start at a level with battle type RP, but not this in depth...
I guess this is the hard-core RPing ill have to get used to as capital ship levels decrease this server will also decrease in fun for me and then i shall move back to another game... If im on less in 4.85 now you'll understand.
