I might get a tongue piercing when I'm in college, I hope that doesn't hurt (and I hope my parents don't see it either...).

That one is annoying tough, first "month" (may be less) youl have to be very careful with oral hygiene and you wont be able to eat properly for the first few days. Cause the tounge swells alot ^^

I've dealt with worse, but I still find myself questioning whether I should do that or not.

You know, the tongue is the most dangerous place to get pierced in your body. If the person doing the piercing gets the positioning wrong by a millimeter, it can go through an artery (which they won't be able to stop bleeding).

NOW you tell me...dunno, one of my friends already got one. I'll just ask the piercing dude, and the doctor. and besides,

And, of course, the piercing in your tongue opens quite a highway for infection into your body... It's never smart to put holes in yourself - especially your mouth, where you have a lot of bacteria. And your head, too. That's never smart.

I've never understood tongue piercings. Hurts like a bitch, makes you talk funny, gets infected super easy, is hidden most of the time, and doesn't even look that good when it is seen.
