I see it being fine to equip cap mk 8 on any ship that has the hold for it. ITs a MULTIPLYER not a fixed number (which then I could see limiting it.) In the end i believe that price should constitute this. If that doesn't work (which we have seen lately doesn't really) just make the cargo space relative to the size of the armor number. So a cap armor 8 should be 8 times as big as a cap armor 1. But that is just my suggestion.

I'd see this working if you had two sets of armor sets, Heavy armor upgrades and Light armor upgrades, Heavy being the current prices but that add mass to the ship, and Light being much more expensive ones that don't affect mass at all or very minimally.

Is this being implemented?

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

' Wrote:Errm, well I believe you can add mass to equpment. For example, go on SP and add a Bret forward cannon to a starflea using IONCROSS. You'll notice the turning is hugely effected in an adverse manner, because of the sudden mass-jump.

I suppose, you'd make armour upgrades steadily increase in mass, so the bigger the multiplier the more adverse the effect. The heavier the mass, the better ships travel through asteroids as well (I think) and less they are effected by impacts from fighters and stuff.

I suppose it would be a good reason for having a lightly armoured LF as well, after all, the LF loses it's purpose when it has VHF agility.

That's where you would make the distinction between "capital ship armor" and not.

maybe you can add some multiplier on agility stats, like you have on armor. like "mk 8 armor will multiplie your armor by 2 but will multiplie your agility stats by 0.90"

Please, read again what Jure wrote - Internal equipment can't affect ship's weight. So no, this definitely isn't going to be implemented.

A way you could do this is that it multiplies armor by 2.5 and ship mass by 1.9 or something. That way it keeps all of your thrust and manuverabliity stats the same but makes the ship more sluggish. Like it should.
