Escorted APM-Sagittarius on runs in Liberty, Bretonia and Rheinland. Only difficulties were two Corsair gunboats in the Omegas; I engaged in the hope of drawing their attention away from the Sagittarius but was shot down. Rookie trader called "RedDogElite" tagged along in the latter half of our runs; could prove useful if APM want to hire him.
Incidentally, the sooner we get our Rheinland division up and running, the better: was attacked repeatedly at the Ring by Unioners, Hessians and Bundschuh.

RE: IFF Change
Message reads:
Well after lots of talks and running around I managed to convince our guard folks that I am on OK guy. They allowed mt to change the IFF on my Manta the Rapier. So she now sports the Bounty Hunter Guard IFF. Will work on getting the Cestus an IFF change also in between patrol missions.

RE: Arrival
Director -
I have arrived at Sheffield Station in Manchester safely. Thank you for your concern - however, the prosthetics that the S/D Agency procurred for me from AP Manufacturing are MUCH better than the ones given to me by the BAF. I feel quite confident that I will be able to assume my new duties as Assistant Director, S/D Agency, Sheffield Station Manager, without any issues at all.
The room that was acquired for me by 'Sniffer' Martinez above the Duane Lee Chapman Memorial Bar and Grill is most satisfactory. In fact, it's three times the size of the room I had when I was a Commander in the BAF - which goes to show you that being a bounty hunter pays better AND has more perks than being in the military.
I do appreciate that you allowed my wife Joan to accompany me here. I may be old enough now that the BAF decided to retire me to paperwork only - I'm still not too old to actually be of some use, regardless of what Her Majesties pencil-pushers think.

After the assorted ion storms of earlier in the day, I finally felt comfortable in leaving Planet Houston and preparing to start my special assignment.
Well, that didn't quite happen. Earlier in the day, when Boba and I were together between ion storms, we'd seen a REAL piece of scum named Hsu, trading in Cardi AND slaves - and doing it right under our noses. I'd filed a report with the Liberty Navy that they ought to file a bigger bounty on this piece of filth.
As I started heading south towards Bering, guess who I saw on my long range scanners?
This pile of dog excretement jumped into Texas with a larger ship and a larger load.
He's running under false colors, too. He does have a smuggler ID, anyway.
I chased him to Texas - couldn't get a CD on him. Then he pulled out of there with a full load of slaves - and a loud mouth.
Even after I broke off the pursuit, he STILL kept taunting me. I landed on Houston again - by the way, did you guys know there are other JH's out of Texas, going into Minnesota and other empty sectors? Reloaded my CD's, and dropped off some assorted scum that had clogged my tractors, and started south again.
It wasn't my day.
I hit the Bering JG, and a junker ship named Elvis popped in with over 3000 Cardi in his hold. I hollered at him to stop, when another Junker ship named Elvira popped in with - over 3000 Cardi in his hold. I managed to block the trade lane and was starting to work on Elvira when the escorting gunboat that I hadn't seen came up behind me...
My computer was too badly damaged to record any of that fight. Sergeant Limbaugh and I managed to get out safely, there was a passing Liberty cruiser that brought us in.
Oh, and Don.Bucaletto did make one rather humorous comment, about the time he brushed the fringe of my sensors. Something to the effect of the S/D popping up all over the place where they want to be... It's nice to be known.

Listen up, men. In preparation for our expansion into Rheinland, the administrative workload has increased. As I will be basing myself in Rheinland for some time, the command of the Doghouse will be taken over by Harvey Blackwater.
The field office in Manchester will be taken over by Assistant Director Sir Douglas Bader. Bader is a renowned combat veteran of Her Majesty's Forces and we are priveleged to have his expertise, wisdom and poise to administer and manage the operations on Sheffield.
The burden of intelligence work has doubled with our new venture into the Rheinland, and as a result, a new reconnaissance and exploration division is being formed. Expanding our combat intelligence will involve clandestinely collecting data and information by people and with technology behind enemy lines. Agent Breako will be handling this branch. He is presently at Starr's workshop developing a prototype light civilan interceptor, called the Seeker, for this work. His contribution to this vital work is of great value to the Agency and he is promoted to the rank of Special Agent as a result.
Our role in handling extradition from Bretonia means that the Provider is no longer a viable transportation vessel for prisoner transfers and rendition. As such, engineers are working on schematics for a new vessel of capital class size to handle these important tasks. A decommissioned Prison Liner from a Liberty shipyard will most likely form the core of the new ship's infrastructure.
One final note: our latest batch of rookies have passed probation and are promoted to the rank of Agent. Magusson, Ryans, Denver and Williams should report to the armoury immediately and get to grips with the heavier ships they will be expected to pilot from now on. We will need some more experienced agents to co-ordinate activities, so Vettel is promoted to Senior Agent.

Firstly, thankyou for the promotion- you won't regret it.
Proceeded to Sheffield upon receiving news and acquired a Manta VHF; please advise if a Hammerhead would be preferred. Ship acquitted itself admirably against Molly grunts in the Sheffield South field.
Currently waiting at Sheffield awaiting reassignment to either Liberty or Bretonia (Bretonia preferred, if possible).

Delivery of initial ship core can parts have arrived and so far things are fitting nicely. I canbalized alot of parts of the Rapier and she will be put up in storage. I do have a few issues in that the shield I ordered never came I and the stock version will never do.Unfortunatly it is not a shield type we mormally stock on the Armoury. Apparently we have them out on Capetown station so I may need to take a trip out there. It will be a good trial run for her. I need to run to Rostock for another part anyhow.
Now since I am going to be gone for an undetermined amount of time I want to find a replacement pilot for S/D-Cestus. I have several possibles that I am looking at and will forward their resume's to HR for review. I would hate to leave the folks back here down a bomber. Nore would i like to mothball such a beautiful ship. I am trying to find someone who is atleast experianced in a bomber before bothering HR. Well got to get back towork mounting the the power core today.

RE: S/D-Cestus replacement Pilot
Message reads:
Director,
He is the report from Sheffield about my potential replacement for S/D-Cestus. He is currently without a ship and looking for a way to get back into space. He expressed interest in our group since he has been working independently since his former team mates retired. As you can see form the report below he has the experience we would want in a bomber pilot.. If you could give this a look over and forward it on to Harvey so he can do what ever he needs to do to check this guy out. Report attached below.
Quote:Name: Dane Larrikin
Bounty hunter ID number: F743ZB9
Height: 74 inches
Weight: 190 lbs
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Distinguishing marks: Tattoo of Sea serpent fighter on upper left arm. Blaster scar lower right side and right hip.
History
Dane was born on Sheffield station to Shelia and Bruce Larrikin. Both parents are Bounty hunters in good standing with the Guild. Neither parents are members if any Bounty hunter organization. They work as an independent team.
Dane was mainly raised by the child care facilities on station until his 13 birthday when he was collected by his parents to begin working with them. He has over the last 15 years work numerous jobs with his parents and after their retirement work as an independent for the last 3 years. He has no pending guild sanctions, nor investigations. He has been sited for some questionable collections but nothing ever came from those investigations. He has flown all types of fighters from the Piranha light fighter to the Bounty hunter Bomber. His main area of operations was Liberty house space, with some jobs for individuals in Bretonian Space. He is currently without a ship due to an incident in Berring with a large gang of Unioners. Report pending on insurance claim.

Psych Eval Notes
Dane is an aggressive individual that we typically see in the Bounty Hunters Guild. Being raised by Hunter parents has brought this part of his personality to the fore. His many years if working as a Hunter has left him jaded and cynical about the rest of humanity and this has leaded to some anti-social behavior. This seems to be at odds with some feelings of loneliness that started with his parents retirement. He also has some substance issues with alcohol. Recommend cutting back on the Whisky and going to the gym to handle the excess aggression.
Side note- I am sending this from my new base of opperations Rostock station. I will be using this as jump off point for my work. Will be staying out of O-56 since that is currently under the control of Darkwing. Future reports forth comming. I also am still looking for a class 8 light fighter shield. Tried to get the zoners to sell one to me but I am not on that good of terms with them. Went with a Class 7 for now that is restant to the weapons used by the folks I am likely to encounter. So if someone can pocure a class 8 for me and hold it at Sheffield I would be thankful.

RE: Operations in Rhineland
Sir -
In order to keep the information flowing, I will be forwarding files as I complete them, rather than trying to make one large report.
There are several common factors to all sectors of Rhineland that we need to keep in mind while operating here.
Namely -
The Red Hessians, Unioners, Bundschuh, and LWB
<error - LWB file not found>
WHAT? Stupid computer... those guys are mostly around Stuttgart, anyway...
Fine, where was I?
Oh, yeah - and just for fun, as remnants of the war, The Wild.
One other thing to keep in mind is that the Gas Miners Guild is hostile to Rhineland.
It's possible that we may get contracts to take out GMG ships, since they're the ones that effectively defeated Rhineland in the 80 year war. This would be in line, or at least similar, to how we treat Kusari ships in Bretonian space.
I've managed to complete a physical scan of Hamburg. (Note that Altona is at Planet Hamburg, and does not show on the system scan map due to scaling issues.)
During the course of checking out Hamburg, I was forced several times to defend myself from attacks by criminal elements. The Unioners appear to have the strongest weaponry in dealing with our shields, short of the Wild. Several times my shield actually was knocked completely down, and three times I actually had physical damage to the Memory due to weapons fire.
I also was severely outnumbered once while checking out the system and was forced to flee through a newly discovered jump hole into Frankfort. I heartily recommend that none of our pilots use the north Frankfort Jump Hole if they can avoid it - the other side is right in the middle of an explosive gas cloud.
It does appear that Hamburg is already home to an office of the Bounty Hunters Guild, so keep that in mind.
As an aside, while traversing the trade lanes back to Hamburg to finish my studies from Frankfort, I noted at least one location where an anti-piracy patrol would be well placed. That will be on my Frankfort report.
I did have to laugh when I heard this while on a tour of the facilities at Vierlande Prison.
There are issues with the military here that should not be spread around.
I also think I have uncovered the real reason behind the trade embargo between Liberty and Rhineland. This at least makes more sense than anything that Liberty has admitted to.
----
I have completed partial scans of New Berlin and Frankfort, and I anticipate having all of my report done, with a full recommendation, by the end of next week. I'll be posting updates as I get each system complete, but I'm also going to take my time and be thorough, too. This is very important to us, obviously.
(Hey, I'm not missing the opportunity to drink Rhineland beer and visit a certain young lady here, either.
I may be a widower, but I'm gaining a new appreciation on life.)
