not you orin, i meant "startingfromscratch^^" char. called me a capwhore out of the blue. NOT a good example for new guys. but i agree. i shall not take this any further.
No, I know. I meant heat in general, directed at me or not.
Anyways, back on topic: If you change it to a new name, one more RP in usage, I'd love to meet up in game. Maybe you could even have a part in Draya's Diary.
I participated in the Mk I fighter event as Robert.Neville just this past weekend. Its a character Ive had for months that is slowly working up the hard way. Hes been teaming up with newer players and helping them do missions in Liberty since he was created. Hes in a Defender now, and given how much fun Ive had with him I may not advance him beyond where he is now.
HAHA I got attacked by 2 different cruisers in Liberty while thrashing around in my bloodhound last night. Was a great time. I even attacked one for a while and survived!
FOR THE CARDI!
-edit- they found me because I was cheering on the Rogue NPCs while some guy in a Starfea was trying to kill their base.
At just over 150 hours in, that's how I've got my freelancer character up to level 59 - all on his own. Those were the good (and scary) days, with no faction membership, trying to haul cargo and do misisons enough to stay alive, while also trying to advance.
Of course, that's also how his rep got so screwed up, too, but that's another issue. If I start someone from scratch now, I'll make sure that I keep his rep in mind the whole time he's building himself up - because that's a huge mistake I made originally, and it's been a pain in the butt to fix since then.
Alicia.Nall: Originally Blackmoon. Mined Silver until she could get a Dagger because I was going with a Lane Hacker, but worked up from there to a fully-armed Slipstream. Then she joined the Hellfire Legion (and left not much later, after paying them back), and now she's in a Marauder... which does have (and need!) the armor upgrade. In a Stiletto, joined a Lane Hacker Gunship, Rogue Gunship, and Pirate Transport for a raid. Think I was the only survivor.
But of course, since I eventually abandoned the "working up from scratch" thing with a Border Worlds ship, I'm probably going to set up a new Outcast or Lane Hacker that way.
Daniel.Hillman: Interspace Commerce, currently a Kadesh Light Fighter with a Sweeper Missile and three Vengeance (class 4) laser cannons.
Milton.Radley: Currently a Starflier with Lavablades, attempting to work toward a Rogue.
