Junkers.

Please be advised, a Wild Scorpion has been raiding Yanagi and Kreuzberg on a regular basis taking ships crew captive and retreating with them.

It is the utmost imperative that ships avoid combat that are not capable of winning and that crews be rescued before capture by the Wild whenever possible.

****Jack Crow****

Sigma 13 continues to heat up and we continue to attract new enemies. Last night 2 pilots, one Phantom and one Coalition (I do not know if they were working together or not) entered Yanagi space at the same time with the intention of carry out a vendetta against the Harvesters. With complete disregard for our policies, they attacked and destroyed the Harvester units located within 1k of the base.

At the same time a Corsair name Muerte parked beneath the base and proceeded to antagonize a Dragon Cruiser, trying to provoke a conflict in our space. It was explained to him that he will always be welcome at the base, but our hospitality ENDS when it is used to draw our base into a conflict. :rtfm:

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to the Outcast Battleship Iron Maiden whose captain volunteered his service and that of his crew to defend the base. Without firing a shot, he was able to assist the Junker Congress in restoring peace to the area.

Crow out

Good report sir.

As a clarification, ships are not allowed to engage in fire fights within the Junker Zone about Yanagi. However, ships availing themselves of the zone to flee combat must dock or depart after doing so. They may not loiter within the base ZOI.

Adjucator,

Previous to my life with the Junkers, I was... engineered to hunt and destroy Nomads and their infected brethren. The Scorpion will not be so fortunate as to ambush me during undocking procedures again.

The Caveat Emptor will have what passes for its heart on a plate. While this offers little solace for those who have lost friends and/or family to this scourge, be assured that when I am done, it will know true fear, and the true price of drawing Junker blood.

Junkers,

While our primary focus should be on the Wild and the immediate and deadly threat they oppose to us, we should not ignore the rogue Bounty Hunters which plague our outpost in Omega-15.

Again I reiterate the infectious stupidity the Bounty Hunter Battlecruiser inflicts on its captains and crews and relay to you today's report.

While patrolling our outpost, I was pursued into the debris field and engaged by three Bounty Hunter Capitals talking in a code of some sort. Callsigns are Lady, Wilf_Brim, and Mysob. You can garner some form of recon by the Lady's statement of '14' and my distance from the craft.

The ensuing attack was hard and brutal and my craft was soon smashed into complete failure. Thankfully, I lost no crew and the power core remained stable. After my wreck was towed to Bornholm's mooring point, I chanced an escape after hastily nano-repairing severe hull breaches and equipment failures. We were to break out and send for aid.

Luckily, only one capital remained. We attempted to slip by him, assuming he would let a wounded combatant recuperate. One cruise disruption later, we knew it was not going to happen -- but enough systems remained usable that the Caveat was able to defend herself. Emptor's steady firepower and superior mobility were more than a match for the raw blistering onslaught of the Mysob, hammering it at a distance and wearing it down. Soon the captain was speaking the Hunter code in system, calling for help. The other craft were in disbelief that not only had the Caveat pieced herself together, but was fighting like a cornered animal and -winning- after being denied the ability to escape.

They soon discovered the consequence of unwarranted aggression and hubris.

The Caveat Emptor is still in the shipyard, having her systems overhauled and armor reinforced -- finer and better work than nanobots could provide. But we have three more callsigns to watch for, and to hunt without mercy or remorse.

*** INCOMING TRANSMISSION ***

FROM: Copernicus
TO: Arbiter of the Junker Congress

Sir,

While visiting Yanagi and speaking with .:j:.Caveat.Emptor along came three bounty hunters, two in battle cruisers and a third in a battleship. They claimed to be there to collect on a bounty. We attempted to get them to move along ... they refused to accept Junker authority with regard to the no fire zone surrounding Yanagi.

As their target, Casa.de.OsoRojo, undocked they immediately opened fire and destroyed this vessel before he was capable of maneuvering out of harms way.

It saddens me to see such blatant behavior. These bounty hunters are over running every corner of Sirius and are doing so unchecked. They blatantly ignore authority. I'm curious as to what would happen to them had they behaved this way in a house system.

Please note the photographic evidence I have provided in regard to this callous act.

Respectfully,
Captain of the Copernicus

Greetings,

True, my vessel suffered a rather heavy price she is, in fact, in the process of repair. However, this does not negate the fact that your vaunted "safe-zone," though honored by us, is being honored by all. I did not fire upon them since your "safe-zone" has been well advertised. Be advised, however, I shall not honor it in the case of Bounty Hunters. They broke the peace and shall suffer the consequences for such an act. Your forces did nothing as my vessel's shields and hull melted away. If they side with Bounty Hunters again through action, or the lack there of, you and those present shall be held accountable.

My regards,

OsoRojo

P.S. for the record the Bounty Hunters fielded two battleships and a destroyer.

Comm ID: Cpt. Hannibal Bishop, Captain of the Caveat Emptor.

My condolences for the losses your crew has sustained, as well as for the damage done to your ship in our perimeter.

I owe you an explanation. In stating that all free targets of the Hunters should vacate the premises, this was not stated in the spirit if siding with them. This was for the sake of protecting the lives aboard Yanagi, which I am charged with protecting; above all other craft or causes.

I take this time to reiterate that the no-fire zone is not a safe zone. Loitering in the perimeter outside the station's shielding does not place you under our protection, nor will actions taken against you while inside this perimeter automatically cause Junker craft in the vicinity to spring to your defense. This is not to say that we will not assist you; however if there is a possible end that can be brought to a situation that doesn't involve escalation of the conflict, we will pursue that above risking further lives.

The Kuun-Lan has a long history of endangering hundreds of uninvolved innocents for the sake of a single kill. Zoners have given the craft a stern warning about his actions outside Freeports, and her captain continues to risk the lives of entire stations when he believes he can get away with it. If the Zoners can't convince him to keep the collateral damage down, how can we Junkers?

In my eyes, I felt the only reasonable end to the incident was for all craft that would be deemed targets to this outrageous intrusion and abuse of power, was to vacate the area and deny them their kills. They were bloodthirsty and well beyond reasoning with by this point. This was why I gave such an order. For the safety of the remaining Outcast Alliance forces, and for the safety of the innocents aboard Yanagi.

To end this: I am in the process of receiving a new operating procedure regarding such incidents. I have taken steps to ensure my hands will not be tied in such a way again.

Again, my sincere condolences for your losses. I hope to see the Casa in space again. This incident will not be repeated.
