Well a six letter alphanumeric password in complete lowercase has over two billion combinations, even though brute force attacks will cycle through it pretty fast.

Seth, here's a solution:

1. Get a job
2. Move out of home
3. Surf all the internet you want

Of course with a job, school, responsibilities, commitments, etc. you won't actually have 4 hours a day to surf the net. Especially later on when you have kids, and spend your every waking moment worrying they're on the net all day and not studying.

Do you really think its wise to try to hack your dad's router? If my kid did that I would remove the privilige 100%, no questions asked. That would also warrant the belt. I'm sure there are some people out there gasping at that statement, but I assure you it's still legal and it still works.

That was the parent in me. The kid in me says:

get the router model and do a google search for 'hacking model numberx' and 'exploit model numberx'. If you can't hack it after that you probably shouldnt be trying to hack.

It's in my nature to appreciate a good display of deviousness in things, so part of me says that if you honestley believe that you can outsmart your father, then by all means, do it & i'll root for ya.

Now, another part of me wants to know if you are willing to take personal responsibility & accept the concequences of your actions if you fail & get caught.

There is no glory without risk, but there is also no action without a reaction.

...are you sure you can handle geting caught just as well as you can handle getting away with it?

Anyway , it would not be a good idea to hack your dad. Just get a 6 at some random test or something like that and he will let you play more.
