Just now i was in omicron alpha, no lag, 15-16players on
The moment i took a mission (230k kill target) the lag started, solid red for 5minutes.

The moment it said "mission failed, you moved to far out of battle" the lag stopped, that second, and all the BHs appeared at once (2waves).

The lag started and stopped for everyone else on the server at the same times.

So, something to do with missions, or the waypoints perhaps.

I've lost quite a few missions due to lag. And that lag came about when I launched. I know a few others have had the same problems with taking missions.

Don't know if this causes the lag or not. Hope the information helps though.

I have to back you up on this. I've seen it first hand sitting next to Caylith while she's taking missions. Although I was able to take quite a few missions last night with no lag at all. But that was just after a server restart.

Now that you mention... it really happened often like that for me too...

I've also noticed lag arising during missions. Maybe it is more than one person on the server doing a mission? When Dave (MystacX) and I were doing missions to get his ID/Tag there was no lag at all and we had a 520k mission, 2 waves of 4 Osiris battleships, 2 waves of Titan fighters and no lag, but as most of the players were in theta or trading, I doubt anyone else had a mission, hence why I'm thinking it's more than 1 mission being done on the server.

My Input.

Same here. I guess I never thought to pay attention before, but I do vividly remember several conversations about lag while I was on a mission.

Fraid that makes sense to me too, especially as we are looking for the cause quite
intensively at the moment. When Teaboy took the mission, we jokingly said, "who
took the mission" ... Bingo, put two and two together. Lag stopped when he did ...

Haha that's funny, cracking a joke about it before you figure it out! Gotta love little moments of irony like that. Now we just have to wait for Igiss to verify. :D

Do you remember which missions exactly were you taking when lag started? E.g. from what faction, against what ships/installations, etc?
