@@@@fshsdmmm****nnnnn***h%#@4$ooks like that ion storm was worse than I thought. The minute I finished sending that updated report, my ship's systems all dropped out simultaneously. Gran Canaria mechanics say it's a miracle I got it here from Dublin. Only just got the comms working again.
I'll be grounded until the parts I ordered come i%#&*********

Good Day. With the upcoming duties in escoting for PTS operations I've felt it was needed to take better look at my loadout for the Scylla gunship eh. Stix and I flew out 5K from Planet Cambridge to see how my current loadout stood up. It used too much power eh for such a small effect on his shields. It was the 2 Cerbs that were the problem.
Since that time I've gone to Gran Canaria and exchnged the 2 Cerbs for shield busting Inferno turrets, since I already carried hull breaking Razors and antifighter Missile turrets. I haven't put it through the full test yet, but I have been in a few minor skirmishes with Titan patrols and I know my new loadout is more power efficient.
Currently docked at New London awaiting orders.

Frank Davies, Libertonian mass murderer, thief and ne'er-do-well was caught this morning by Miss Esther Carson, whom many of you may already know.

Engaged the notorious serial killer Frank Davies in Leeds today. His piloting skills were mediocre, though I have to admit, having him in my hold made me nervous, even locked up... I blew him up, he's languishing in BPA Newgate as we speak.

After being handed over the Bretonian Police Authority, he was transferred to the Newgate. He refused an offer of amnesty proferred by Guild representatives and is therefore facing extradition to Liberty where he faces certain life imprisonment.
Agents wishing to be considered for escort duty for this mission should read the full briefing a copy of which is enclosed.

Parts came in sooner than I expected. I headed through Dublin to Chester, to investigate reports of a wreck near the planet. Found the wreck, but there was nothing interesting on it.
Headed on into Newcastle through another JH I found, and spotted a planet on the far side of one of the nebulae. Went to check it out, but quickly had to keep myself from wetting my pants upon running smack into mines as far as the eye can see. What the hell are mines doing in a nebula like that? What are they supposed to be protecting?
Too shaken to do much else, so hauled tail back to the Ark Royal.

Well made it back to Sheffield after that crazy Ion disturbance that I got caught in while in Dublin. Took days for the mechanics at Essex to find and fix all the shorts that caused. When I got back to Sheffield I made contact with Dane and handed him over the Cestus. I briefed him on our procedures and patrol area. He seemed ready to go. He was headed for New London and then Cambridge.
Ready for my next assignment. Fixing my rep here at Sheffield a bit. Apparently by becoming more friendly with the zoners it irked some folks here on station.

Oy' Well that Brent bloke told me I had to make my reports here so here goes. I picked up that nice bomber from him and after what seemed an eternity he shut his yap about he rules and regs. Considering he gave me the handbook last week he was repeating himself. Nice enough guy buy come on.
So I plotted a course for a tour of New London and Cambridge. New London was quiet and empty only a few traders and no smugglers, I checked. Made my way over to Cambridge. Played with some of those trainies that the Corsairs always seem to be sending into Cambridge and help the local cops polish off one or two. Figured it would give me a feel for this ship. Once i was dong playing I ran a patrol route that was empty. Again only traders. Couple junkers but they were not hold'in no contraband so I let them be.
Since it was quiet and the Cambridge docking ring is a big hub, I parked myself above it. Well things were going well. Chatted with a few of the passing traders and was inspecting the load out of Cestus when i see two red bits pop up on the scanner. These two folks were called Steelrat and Yellow. Steelrat parked himself over by the research center and was just within scanning range. Admittedly this is where I messed up. I forgot to fire off the dang camera once I saw what I did.
Steelrat was in a Corsair Huntress. I was bloody stunned. I scanned Yellow and he was in a Sair gun boat. Now I was parked. So at zero speed. By the time I tried to turn around Yellow fire up his guns and I was in my pod. They came in blazing fast and said nothing. Those blokes were sporting Corsair IFF's but there was no clan tag. So they must have been Indie's.
So well I took a shuttle back to Sheffield to fill out the insurance paperwork. What a blooming pain that is. Should have the replacement ready soon. Breako chuckled at me a bit but is helping me with the insurance folks. Oy' well I am done for the day. Sorry bout the ship.
After running all over hells half acre in Rheinland, I wanted to get reacquainted with Bretonian space before I start my next special assignment. I took a spin though Dublin, mostly sitting around the Omega 49 Jump Hole - just to see what would pop in or out.
I ran into a smuggler with the limited contraband cargo of synthetic marijuana - here's a shot of just how MUCH he had on board. We had a nice discussion and he went on his merry way.
He did specifically state that he never carries slaves or cardimine, so we'll see if we run into him in the future. I'm not sure if there is a bounty payment available for snapshots of limited smugglers (as it were).
Oh, and just for the record, there were no BPA or BAF active forces anywhere on the scanner.
I also got to educate a trader on the Bretonian trade embargo. Note that I did not, in any way, shape, or form, threaten him. I merely said that hauling his cargo to New Tokyo through this space was against the embargo - and he turned around and went another way...
No, I'm NOT enforcing the law - I'm a bounty hunter. (We still ought to get a little something for stopping illicit trade - I guess this almost qualifies as smuggling.)
I'll start my new assignment tomorrow - just had to get some Bretonian space under my wings again.
Max, out

Hooked up with the Athena's Memory near Leeds, spent some time camping the trade lanes before ion storms forced us to land. After they subsided, we headed over to Dublin, where we spent some time mapping out various jump holes. Caught a bloke called Scarecrow smuggling synth marijuana through Dublin, managed to get a picture of his hold before he jumped to Chester. Doesn't the BPA pay for smuggling info?
We headed over to Edinburgh. We were ambushed by an Outcast gunboat called Pistolero near the Shetland, he attacked first. We both escaped intact and made a run for Leeds. We arrived safely and I ended my patrol.

Well I made a good patrol through Bret space today. New london did not have nuth'en but traders running to and fro. Took a trip over to cruise around Cambridge and saw what i though was a smuggler but he was just taking the hard way while moving Alien orgs to Cambridge research station. So not too much to report. Was a pretty quiet day. Ran up to Manchester to restock on Nova torps untill I can track down a weapons dealer that has the SN cannon.
Started a patrol in Cambridge - with basically nothing happening.
Headed over to New London, where I joined up with Senior Agent Bobafett. We watched the trade lanes in front of New London for a bit, talked to several traders that came through, and maintained an eye on our scanners for activity in other sectors.
Bobafett docked to pick up some supplies, and while he was on the planet, two pilots - one named Rubicon in a Thor, the other named OZELOT[Cpt. Frot] in a Falcata, came down the trade lane from Dublin. Neither of them had a bounty that I was aware of, and all they had was the non-affilliated pirate ID. We had a little discussion about them NOT doing anything - and that since there was at this time no bounty on their heads that I was aware of, to just - move along.
We noted on long range scanners a member of the Molly Republic in Dublin (big surprise), and were getting ready to head that when we were joined by Special Agent Feral.
Closing on the Dublin Jump Gate, sensors indicated that the Molly ship - MR-Athenry, a Liberty Rogue gunboat piloted by one Daniel O'Shay - had entered New London. Since I was closest to the Dublin JH at that point, I headed that way.
I got contact with him right at 14K, and immediately commed Feral and Bobafett. I confirmed that Athenry was, indeed, a Molly, and evaded fire while waiting for my reinforcements.
During the ensuing combat, my ship sustained <strike>some</strike> <strike>major</strike> <strike>severe</strike> enormous damage. I'm not sure how I managed to hold it together, quite honestly. Between dodging throughout (and bouncing off of) the asteroids, getting rammed by the escorting Molly rookies that were being engaged by some BAF rookies, and eating way too many inferno and battle razor shots, and having missiles knocking systems off my ship - the Memory will be down for repairs for quite a while.
Between the three of us, we did manage to take out MR-Athenry. My computers were shot up, so I don't have a visual record of it. I limped back to New London with about 1/3 of my hull left, and only my supernova and mine launcher left. My shield generator had even been destroyed.
But we DID get the guy - which is a 500,000 credit bounty according to the NSY bounty board, and we once again had a good patrol.
What's that old saying? At the end of your shift, come home alive. Thus endeth the lesson.
