Wow, some things on here are really bad advice *hint hint, Epyon*. You can try to hack the router or some similar thing, but if you get caught then you could easily lose your internet privileges altogether. If you don't think you'll get caught, think again. Whenever I'm doing something behind someone's back, they always seem to have the annoying habit of waltzing in at the wrong moment and finding out. Four hours a day... well, think about it. If you go to school from 8:00AM to 3:00PM (probably different for you Americans, but whatever), then even if you started right when you got home it'd be like 7:00PM by the time your 4 hours ran out. Not to mention that you need to do homework and eat as well, so in the end 4 hours is a lot.
If you really want more time, then just try to show your dad you're responsible enough for it. Get good grades, don't forget your RL friends, and all the other RL stuff you do. If you can show that you can balance it all, then maybe your dad will trust you with more internet time.
THEY TOLD ME I COULD BE ANYTHING SO I BECAME A SIGNATURE PLS HLP
Well, to put it bluntly, I can't "hack" the router. I just don't know how. I know several martial arts, I sail, I play tennis, I ride my bike every morning.
I'm not going to outsmart my dad, it's just not going to happen.
This is easily fixable but it all goes down to the degree of detectability.
If you're feeling confident, format the router and start again, you'l get the blame proably, unless you somehow cover up a power loss to it to something innosent. This way he'l need your local IP again to assign the time to your Laptop, at this point don't use it and don't let him on it, but there are ways around it, but this is worth a shot if you're desperate enough. You'l get your internet back but he's going to find out soon enough.
Continue to do this enough and it might possibly change, or worse could happen.
The best way to do this is to get the router to set your Internal IP differently to what is set to be blocked. But doing this is likley to be detected aswell.
I have a PSP, I was tempted to next time the power goes out, tell him I'm going on my laptop now so he can re-get my IP/Mac address and then actually go on my PSP...
Wouldn't last long though:P
Nah, for the time being I'm accepting it, if I desperatly need the internet for 5 minutes when it's blocked I just plug it in and do what needs doing.
Is this a part of enforcement "You can only play games 4 hours a day" type enforcement? I don't get why this is being done in the first place. If anything it is doing the opposite effect, it's pissing you off and also what if you needed to do homework or anything?
