I had gotten a sudden transmission from S/D-Mark.Williams in his Hammerhead telling me that there were Corsairs raiding the Cambridge systems and needed assistance. I checked my scanners and sure enough OPG were in Cambridge. I jumped into my bomber, the Swordfish, we met at Battlship Norfolk and began a search. Now most of the OPG have departed by this point eh, and we were now just looking for OPG Blackmutt who lingered behind.
I picked up his signal north of Cardiff as I was coming from south. I knew where he was going. Omega 3. Williams and I took the tradelanes to Omega 3 in hopes of catching up. We found Blackmutt just past the Freeport waiting a little over 5K away and obviously prepared for the confrontation. We began our clash. Less than a minute later a signal showed up CodeGen in a Corsair Gunboat!
We switched to the GB in hopes of taking it down as soon as possible, which we did eh. In a quick short barrage of shield busters and minirazor fire we had his shields down for me to lob a glob of antimatter on his hull.
Another target showed up as we finnished off the Gunboat while still dodging the Corsair bomber; it was a Corsair Cruiser named Yellow. Same idea we pounced on the cruiser and went to work. Still dodging this Blackmutt in his bomber too by the way eh. We almost got it down. It was a wreck with very little hull structure left to hold together but...I didn't have the bot and bats to keep myself together. After all the dodging the occasianl hits took their tool and I went down. It wasn't long after before contact with Willams was lost suggecting that he went down to.
Be advised that an assortment of Corsair brigands has re-instituted the practice of commiting acts of piracy near Freeport One in Omega 3. Expect trouble on the route to Rheinland. Any more reports about this directly affecting us and we'll re-assess our options.
Sheffield Test and Training Range (STTR)
A secure zone for live fire exercises has been established south of Sheffield Station near the ice-field on the pathway to the Newgate. There should be no civilian vessels in the area but please exercise caution and run a sweep before commencing. Commanders of the Stix, Scylla and Surma should report to STTR for weapons testing at the nearest available opportunity.
Recruit Paul "Zapotec" Minsk has passed probation and is promoted to Agent.

Heard from a reliable source (well, OK, some drunk in a bar) that there were some powerful guns on some ruined Corsair fighters in Omega-7. Headed over there, but was disappointed to find someone had apparently talked to the same drunk. Oh well.
Poked my nose around Breisen and the Omega-11 hole, but didn't stay long in O-11 due to high Hessian presence. Headed back to Omega-3 and found a JH to Omega-5, and Douglas Station, but nothing else of interest. Returned to Cambridge to rest up.
Hunted this guy over three systems. He seemed unaware of the contract that them good folks down in Rep Ex had put out on his crew. When I finally caught him in Leeds, he must have been sleeping cause he wasn't really responsive, get my drift? Was almost an act of kindness to put him out of his misery.
Heck, for all them millions, I'd shoot my own grandma!
With my bomber under repair, I hitched a ride over to New Berlin to pick up my Manta where I'd had to leave it when a computer module went bad after escorting a transport from Cambridge to the Ring.
While there, I ran into an APM ship, the Scorpio, bringing cargo down from Liberty.
I hailed him and then met up with him outside Dortmund, where he'd just dropped off his cargo. I then escorted him to the Ring, where he picked up a cargo of Engine Components for our shipyard in Cambridge. Normal escort run through the Omegas, with no trouble other than the usual trainee Hessian and Corsair pilots.
It's not my place to suggest it, but I think the captain of the APM-Scorpio just might need a mental examination, based on conversations. Something about the torture rack and liking the screaming sound is just a LITTLE bit off...

This is Huw to the company, I'm back from my vacation in Liberty. I'm going to kill that holiday planner when I get my mitts on him. I've been spending the best part of a month near the Fort Bush incinerators... Against me own will too mind ya.
I put new 'equipment' that is not standard in most of the ships in the fleet, but they do help teach the pirate scum a lesson as to when they tangle with me. They don't go to jail... They go to hell on a ship...
Aside from that, I've taken cargo from The Ring to Cambridge with no incident, I intend to spend the day there to enjoy the local 'wildlife' so to speak. If you catch my drift...
In response to that pilot who escorted me, I have no need for a psychological evaluation, my record speaks for itself. Zero successful pirate raids, zero ejections from my ship, and only 52 crew fatalities... Wait a sec? 52? I must have forgot to put a few in, need to up the recruitment plan, but uh anyway. I have no need for an evaluation.
Good day...
*recorder picks up faint screaming in the background* "Pirate ME will you Corsair! Well lets see how your own body tastes like you cannibal!! Mwahahahaha!! Oh the recorder is still on? I gotta turn that off one of these days..."

Transmission begins:
Sir -
Certain transmissions were monitored regarding the alien presence in Sirius. Here is a copy of that transmission:
The aliens feel that they are our superiors. This cannot bode well for long term relations with them.
In addition, the following camera shots were secretly recorded, which may shed light on their activities. Note the close-up of the ship - looks a lot like one of ours, doesn't it?
I think that this situation is more serious than we had at first thought. I recommend further and intense investigation. These aliens may be more a threat to humanity than the Nomads.

Went all over the Omegas today. Omega-7, Omega-5, Omega-41 (god, that place is unnerving) and Omega-15. Both to map and to hunt for those mysterious codenamed weapons all those barfleas keep going on about in a futile effort to impress me enough with their knowledge of space to get into my pants. Came up with bupkis on the codename front, but at least I got some mapping out of the way:
Naive young women like your good self should pay no heed to men who promise you the world and more in bars. Are you sure you interpreted this old drunk correctly when he said he wanted you to "search his wreck" to see if there was a "gun worth salvagikng?" It all sounds a bit fishy to me.
In any event, SD Systems has enough functional prototypes of our new line of plasma blasters should you require some for a field test. And we have contacts with a reputable arms dealer who can acquire pretty much anything within reason. Scavenging wrecks might be an adequate livelihood for a junker or someone of equally poor standards of hygiene, but it is not a practice we endorse for Guild members.
If you are going through the Omegas, your time might be better served hunting OPG and other assorted Corsair brigands. In addition to that, you might collect a shipment of LB41 Reavers Mark 1 for the armoury next time you are on Rostock. You seem to know your way around that neck of the woods, so I'm sure you are more than capable of handling this task.
