I didnt think the Legion of the damned were actually flat out Chaos marines, they were just screwed up and cast out by the space marines?

Ugh... Chaos marine history is long one.

Tehnically, they used to be most loyal of marines... and one day, imperium found gateway to warp. Warp there is secondary dimension, one so twisted and wicked that no normal human can even gaze upon it and remain sane. 13 marine chapters were sent in eye of terror to end chaos(creatures and gods native to warp) from attacking Imerium. For long time, there was only silence and no reply from those legions... untill one day they descended on imperial worlds... twisted mockery of their former glory, ravaging in slaughter, gore and pain.

Thats short of it.

And Legion og the damned is either chaos marine chapter, or deamon army. Since all of 4 chaos gods have their uniqe deamon servants, and they form armies of them to send upon mortal plane.

Gods are:

Khorne, the blood god, lord of skulls, master of battle
Sphere: War
His deamons are:
Bloodthirster, greater deamon
Juggernaught, lesser
Bloodletter, lesser
Fleshhound, lesser

Tzeench, The changer of ways, the master of fortune, the great conspirator, architect of fate
Sphere:Change
His deamons are:
Lord of change, greater
Screamer, lesser
Flamer, lesser
Horror, lesser

Slaanesh, the pleasure lord, the prince of pleasure, despoiler
Sphere: Excess
His deamons are:
Keeper of secrets, greater
Demonette, lesser
Fiend, lesser

Nurgle, the lord of pestilence, the great corruptor, the master of plague, the fly lord
Sphere: Decay
His deamons are:
Great Unclean one, greater
Plagebearer, lesser
Nurgling, minor

They are correct, as they are lore quotes.

And, all of them have plan, and each of them has different one.

I disagree with your history, sir. I love the Space marine history and have a bunch of books about the Horus Heresy.

Horus and his legion, The Sons of Horus, were corrupted by Chaos during the Great Crusade and in turn convinced 8 other legions to join with them and attack the Emperor. Until that point, the Warp was only used for travel (and whatever else the Emperor secretly deemed it used for), Chaos wasn't a wide-known threat (at least not to the space marines), and the Space Marines were split into 20 legions, instead of hundreds of chapters.

Once Horus took care of the loyalists in his legion and the legions that joined him, he set forth to kill the Emperor. But a single ship with a crew of space marines and some civilians managed to escape the main fleet and flee towards Terra. The ship was called the Eisenstein and it contained the only surviving loyalist of the Sons of Horus // Luna Wolves, and some of the.. Death Guard, I believe? They became the first Grey Knights.

To sum it all up, there was a huge battle at Terra, and while Horus' forces outnumbered the defenders of the Emperor, he knew that several legions were on their way to reinforce their allies. So he turned his ships shields off because he knew the Emperor would teleport to his ship to try and kill him. The emperor did, and killed Horus, but in the process was nearly killed himself, which is why he is confined to the Golden Throne. The remaining marines of Horus retreated to the Eye of Terror under the command of Abaddon who had taken over. They fell deeper into chaos and became the twisted visages of their former selves.

The rest of the space marines were split into chapters (Chapters were roughly groups of a little over 1,000, while Legions would range from 1,000, to hundreds of thousands) so that no one leader would have as much power as Horus did.

and there are only 18 known chapters yet it is known that there where 20 primarchs each with there own legion which means 2 have been deleted from records considering the trator legions are still on the records these legions mst of done something very strage to have been expunged fro records

Looking at the screens for Dawn of war 2, I really didn't seem that impressed. Looking at it it juts looks like they using DOW 1 and gave it a slight graphical update. I really hope that by the time this game comes out, it wont be anotehr re-hash like Soulstorm was.

This game has so much potential, I hope they use it.

18 known legions, yes. Gamesworkshop wanted to leave two open so people could create their own chapters from the "missing legions". Something happened to those two primarchs before they were born though, and they never.. "existed".
