My name is Tobias Vaughn and I am a former security pilot for Aegira. For the last seven years of my life I climbed the ladder of that corporation sweating blood and tears to protect it's ships and assets as it delivered goods throughout Liberty. A few months ago however I was able to find that a certain manager was smuggling weapons out of the system to an enemy who must remain nameless for now. When I confronted him and then his superiors instead of being rewarded for my work I was kicked out of the company. In anger I turned to the Liberty Police and Liberty Navy with the information hoping to find justice. Instead a week later my parents, fiancee, and her parents were murdered and I was somehow suddenly wanted for weapons smuggling charges.
Not only has the only job I have ever known turned it's back on me for greed or whatever purpose, so has the people who are suppose to protect me. I suddenly see why there are those like yourselves in this galaxy. I implore you to allow me to join your ranks and make myself useful. I am not merely seeking revenge but to stand for a change and fight back at the corrpution seething from Liberty. If you will have me I will lend you whatever skills I can and my heart and soul.
Glenn had just returned to his office after taking his new fighter out for a test flight. That Arrow was a fast machine, and really got Glenn's blood pumping, which is something he's needed for a while now. Sadly, though, there's paperwork to be done. On the top of the pile was an envelope from Recruitment. Glenn sits down, opens the envelope, and begins to read the application. After finishing his reading, he composes his reply.
Mr. Vaughn,
First, let me extend my condolences to you for the death of your family. Sadly, that's a tale that's becoming all too common these days. We can certainly sympathize with your plight, and I'm sure we can find a place for you here. We will send a ship to pick you up shortly. Good luck to you.

After Glenn finished composing his reply, he sealed it into an envelope, placed it in the pneumatic delivery system, then pressed the button marked 'High Command'. With that, Glenn moved on to the next item in his in box.

I always wondered why the Xenos were so extreme in their actions. I recently found out why and I feel it's important for me to attach myself to something greater than me. My father died fighting for this cause and I see fit to fight for it myself. The cancer that is the Liberty government has been left to free reign for all too long. It's time for me to act. So please accept my humble request to fly under your banner. The Xeno banner.
My name is Jack Swift. They call me Swift because my real surname has been lost with years, and in the time I have spent navigating asteroids, whether in a fighter or a transport, my collisions are few. I was once a trader.
Alone and struggling. I had a family, but we fell apart because of my mothers drinking problems. Needless to say, I struggled against the larger companies. I started from the lowly starflea, but after much perseverance I eventually made my way to purchasing a transport. Then, it seems, that the Ageira began to consider me a threat.
I was taking goods through Colorado, when I came across an Ageira patrol. One of the pilots picked an arguement with me. Soon, it became more violent, and their fighters turned their guns upon my transport. I tried to flee, not wanting to fight, but there were too many. Their corruption was too deep-seated. They even began to fire Cruise Disruptors upon me, despite my trying to escape peacefully.
As my shields were destroyed, and my hull began to drop, I ran for my pod, prepared for death. However, it was then that I noticed another blip on my scanners. Sidewinder.
He came out of nowhere. He took out two fighters in his first run. The third went down before he knew what happened. The transport saw it happening and tried to escape, but Sidewinder was soon upon him too. As he went down he managed to broadcast his coordinates in a gamble.
The fight was over. I braced for impact, expecting Sidewinder to turn his guns on me too, but as I watched, he left. Whether running from the authorities, or permitting a merciful act, I still do not know, but I am in his debt.
When the authorities came, all they saw was me, sitting in the middle of a pile of wreckage. I attempted to explain what had happened, that the Ageira had tried to exterminate me as a possible competitor, but they did not listen. They seized my ship and cargo, and the only reason they did not arrest me was that they could not prove I was the one who destroyed the Ageira ships.
I had some funds set aside from my trading, and once I was released I purchased a Starblazer, then started researching the Xeno, attempting to find a way to contact Sidewinder. I heard rumours of a faction by the name of Xeno Alliance, and rumours of a base named Ouray, located somewhere in Colorado.
The Liberty Police learnt of my attempts to research the Xeno Alliance, and combined with the false accusations of the Ageira Tech pilots, managed to put me behind bars, awaiting trial. It was there that I met a young Xeno pilot. He never told me his name, but he told me how I might escape from prison and contact you.
The corrupt Liberty Government, and all those paying its bribes, have taken everything I have from me. They have ruined my reputation and accused me of piracy, terrorism, treason, and any other crime you would care to name.
While any other man would be determined to prove his innocence, I have seen that the government of Liberty is corrupt, with its hand in the pockets of many foreign companies. If Sidewinder is anything to go buy, even as terrorists the Xeno are honorable, fair and merciful pilots, and as I have witnessed first hand, they corruption they are fighting against exists.
If you would have me, I would fight by your side, whether in a Starblazer or a Destroyer. When they took my reputation they took my life. I have no partner or family, and therefore nothing to live for. I will fight your enemies to the death.

Sad to say, stories like yours are becoming more and more common. It used to be that they were only interested in stamping out the working class, but now their corruption has reached as far as killing honest traders as well. Sidewinder told me about that day. No matter what they say about us, we really are defending honest Libertonians, as you saw.

I guess i could say im one of the simple masses, raised on Denver. I struggled to earn a living piloting a small cargo pod, moving cargo from warehouses to shopping zones.
You could say i was one of the lucky ones for even getting work, all my life i thought there was something wrong with me, my friends, my family for not finding steady work, i thought it was our fault, maybe we were not good enough.
Yet all that changed after i was unfairly sentenced to 3 years on Huntsville for joyriding in someones Slipstream, but then i guess the LPI dont take kindly to people upsetting the so called Elite.
On Huntsville i learned the truth about why things are the way they are, and i just knew i had to act. I couldnt just return to docile service after that. I want to help give voice to those who are silenced yet yearn to cry out in anger at their treatment. I want to take action for those who are held down.
Currently im stuck on Houston, they say i have to earn my way back to Denver, meaning to them im just another one of the countless cheap workers stuck here.
I await a reply, not like im going anywhere. Till then or incase someone else gets this message im keeping my eye on another small ship i could borrow.

Sad to say, but we meet people every day who've been unfairly sentenced to Huntsville. LPI invents a charge, imprisons you for it without a real trial, then puts you to work for several years. Many of our members have come from there, and I'm sure you met a few of our people during your stay there.
We're glad to see that your eyes have been opened to the truth of Liberty's problems, but it's a shame it had to happen the way it did. Get yourself over here to Ouray, and I'm sure that we'll find a place for you.

I'll make this short and sweet; many of the XA pilots know who I am, I've been flying with the xenos for quite a while now... ever since my father was killed by those LPIgs trying to break out of huntsville, and my mother along with him.
I dont have the best ship, and I certainly aint the best pilot around here, but I'd like to join up. I fly my father's arrow, leftover from his career in the sirius racing syndicate. She's an old ship but plenty fast, and I make a good scout and support pilot in the field.
