Message Reads:

Well was moving bout in Bretonia running a patrol, when a call came in about a Corsair in Cambridge. I contacted Agent LaRouche and asked if I could get in on the action. He said sure. Headed in system and our mate LaRouche said the contact was around Cambridge and that he was gonna come at him from Cardiff and I need to come at him from Cambridge. I hit Cambridge with all guns hot, but that dang bloke ran like a little girl with Agent LaRouche right o his tail. They headed for the Omega-5 jump hole so I followed suit wanted to try out this SNAC on a this Corsair rat. Oy' I just get into combat range and he squeals even harder and dives into the jump hole. Myself and agent LaRouche monitored the hole for a bit then returned to patrols. Made a few sweeps through Cambridge but the rat bloke never came back. Gonna stay in Cambridge for a few days. Seems action is picking up in this area.

Message reads:

Met a new Corsair today.
I was doing a patrol route between Dublin and Manchester and I received a message from APM-Gemini that he encountered a Corsair in the Cambridge system, near the planet itself too eh. I made my way there, the description given to me was that of a Corsair ID'd Gunboat designated Zaphod Beeblebrox. S/D-Cestus joined in the hunt as I was reaching the JG to Cambridge from New London. I took the long route from Cardiff to the Planet and Cestus took the direct when when ho got in the system.
My comm system picked up Zaphod in the action of pirating just before meeting him. I received visual confirmation that it was indeed a Corsair GB with Corsair IFF but he immediately ran for the Omega 5 Jump Hole with me in pursuit. Just before jumping he stopped and opened fire on me, causing me to concentrate on dodging and not scanning. I kept dodging and hitting him with my razor and as suspected he jumped when S/D-Cestus appeared in scanner range. We didn't follow as this was going to be an obvious ambush with OPG ships showing on long range scanners throughout the Omegas.
No bounty could be collected

To: The Director, S/D Agency
From: Agent Carly Denver, Sheffield Station
Subject: Report

Finally got a new Manta outfitted, and after a few false starts, managed to make it back to Sheffield via Rheinland with four shiny new Reaver Mk I guns for the armoury, assisted by Bobafett. Let me know when a time can be arranged to move them across.

Otherwise, I'll probably be fast asleep for the next few days after all the Hessians and Corsairs and radiation and exploding and lumpy beds of the Omegas. If you need me, bang on the door of my room at Sheffield and shout really, really loudly.

RE: Outcast menace

I started a patrol last evening, and received word that a notorious Lane Hacker with a huge bounty on his head was around. Headed over from Hamburg towards Magellan to try to find him.

Didn't find him there, and I thought he might've gone up to Leeds, so I headed up there. While approaching the planet, I was commed by an independant bounty hunter named Stoat", that there were a bunch of hippies in Newcastle. I did also scan two junkers carrying plutonium through Leeds as well, and I will post those for the small bounty on smuggler shots as soon as possible.

Well, that sounded like a nice bounty check to me, and since I couldn't raise anyone else, the independant and I agreed to head up to Newcastle and look around. It's been awhile since I've been up there - that's a BIG place. Anyway, we didn't find the NLH - instead I found {Raven}Cruiser'DeCurse - which turned out to be, once I closed enough, to be an Outcast Red Hessian Cruiser.

Long story short, Stoat picked up my escape pod, and is delivering it back to Sheffield.

Harvey might contact him - he seems to be a good chap, we had time to talk on the flight back.

We was hanging in Cambridge orbit when a darned Order terrorist jumped us. We offered him his life if'n he surrendered, but, gee, I guess the camera kinda explains what happened...

Everythin' sure wus going well, until some Gaian clobbered me out in Edinburgh. Dang, the feller was good. Maybe we oughter recruit him?

I done hear some other Hunters has been doin' well out here. Feller name o' Stoat, and a guy named Logan likes to fly a Serpent. I be sure to tell the others to work with these guys, cause they seem to know what's what.

Combat Report

Special Agent Max DeVirgo

Assist on kill

On patrol in Leeds, I had been hanging around the Stokes Mining Smelter, watching for anything that wanted to filter down from Kusari space. Got a report of an Outcast misbehaving on the comm channel, and basically ran him out of Leeds - he jumped out before I could get him.

On the way back to Stokes, I was commed by Feral, and we were set to rendevous at Leeds. I had to dock at Stokes briefly - the relief tube in this bomber STILL isn't working right - and when I came out, there was a Gaian in a Corsair Gunboat entering the tradelane for Leeds.

I quickly commed Feral to be on the lookout, and started the pursuit. In open channels, we notified the Gaian that he was our target, and the BAF happened to be nearby and joined in, Captain Stanley Nelson.

The Gaian headed for the Dublin Jump Hole, and Feral had a localized ion storm hit him, so he dropped out of the pursuit. Captain Nelson and I both came through the Dublin Jump Hole (and by the way - when did the military learn of the jump holes, since he made it there first...), where I got these shots of the Gaian.

The combat raged around the northern gold fields of Leeds, and the Gaian was heading for the Chester Jump Hole. Captain Nelson and I were dodging around him considerably, but between us, it was too much for the poor hippie.

The bad part is - I'm not sure if there's a bounty payable for this, since we didn't get the kill. I'm the one who saw the gunboat in the first place, and Feral and I probably would've gotten him - but instead, the BAF is who did get him.

Do we at least get a cookie?

End transmission.

Combat Report

No, this isn't a mis-sent file. Two in one day.

Anyway, I got a notification that there was Molly activity in Leeds. (Sounds eeriely familiar from earlier today...) The BAF requested my assistance in helping with the Molly. Since that meant I had to go under Bretonian Law, I did so.

The mug this time was named O'Duffy. The BAF cornered him in Leeds - and they knew about the Jump Hole as well. I came in from London, and saw this:

I scanned just to confirm that the BAF hadn't been hitting the sauce - yep, he was a Molly.

This was a bit tougher than against the gunboat - mostly due to the other pilots running into me. This would've been a good time to be in my Manta, but I was concerned about Gunboats, so...

So I at least got the assist.

Then we heard over the group com channels that an independant bounty hunter was mouthing off at a Bretonian Privateer, and about ready to attack him.

I joined in the fun of that, and used my authority as a member of the Guild Guard to order the S.S.Honor to stand down from his mouthing attacks on the BAF. He started to do so, and then he insulted every member of the BAF by his comment that he, ' didn't know her majesty was servicing her privateers.'

It was very tense when the pilots realized that he'd effectively said the Queen was a whore.

And he then insulted the honor all BAF officers, too.

It's my understanding that there will be a duel of some kind, probably to the death.

RE: Patrol report

With the recent success in Bretonian space, I piddled around there looking for some pirates that allegedly had been operating in Leeds.

Some smugglers flying legitimate cargoes was the only thing I saw during my patrol, though.

The tour wasn't a complete waste. I was commed by an independant hunter, name of stast, who asked intelligent and thoughful questions about the S/D, as he's interested in joining. (You know, all those questions that Feral didn't - or couldn't - anwer.) I'd say through him in a flea and see how he does - worst case situation he can stop a missile heading for one of us.

Well boss i s'pose I should be apologizin' for the extra long sick day i had. Suppose it would be best if i explain where i've been lately eh?

Well several months ago i finally got that vacation time i put in for so i decided i wanted to try out one of them orbital spa and cruise things, was supposed to be a week. Now dont give me that look, normally i would not do something so fu fu and girly but one of the chummers i saved awhile back from some brigands gave me a freebie so i was just curious.

Unfortunately it did'na go well at all, about halfway to where ever the damned thing was going it was taken upon by some of them wild bastards, had no choice to hop an escape pod as they filled the hull of the liner with hot plasma.

Floated around in space in that little pod for a few days, wondering if i was going to finally see my ma and pa again, but i ended up getting tractored in and saved by some zoners passing through. dropped me off at one of their freeports.

Ironicly enough my happiness from being saved from the fu fu pod was short lived, was not til i hit the free port that i realized i was not feeling too well at all, after waking up in the infirmary and being told a week had passed it seemed i had gotta sick off floating around in space and being exposed to alien organisms or something. parantly that liner was carrying more than just passengers when it went boom.

Either way it took several weeks for them to get me up to running, hell it was several weeks before they would even let me leave the damned thing, after that it was just a matter of finding a way back to curacao where my baby was parked.

After several hitch hikes and writing out lots of IOU's i finally got back and hauled ass to liberty space where you are now getting this message .... I think next time i want to relax i will buy my own beer rather than have free wine on a fu fu ship ....

(Of course in reality my comp died horribly, and i have not had the money to replace it until recently, the boss already knows this but i am explaining it to my fellow faction members and giving my apologies for my absence etc.)

Combat Report

I made a couple of patrols today. It seems that activity in Bretonia is picking up.

First I was in Leeds, and was contacted by the BAF regarding a Coalition entry into Cambridge, specifically requesting my assistance. I came down there, fully prepared to assist in taking out what apparently was a Coalition Osiris. Apparently the Coalition decided that discretion was the better part of valor - or cowardice - and left before combat.

After this, I docked at Cambridge to get my ship serviced. The mechanics weren't quite finished when I heard a call that there was hippy activitiy in Cambridge. I had to sit and listen to the combat on the speaker while the APM mechanics hurried and got my ship ready.

Apparently there were TWO Gaians - one in Cambridge, and one in New London. I caught up with [NLH] Ocean at the Cambridge to New London Jump Gate. Since he was in the Jump Gate protection field, I could only taunt him while he left. I quickly docked myself, and followed him through.

The Gaian headed for New London in the trade lane, with me in hot pursuit. He bailed before reaching the planet, and attacked Ensign John Cooper, of the BAF, in the asteroid field.

The Hippy was in a Viper - which is entirely too agile for my bomber, and while at first we were assisted by the rookies assigned to New London, apparently as some point my IFF was spoofed, and they thought I was a bad guy. (I think those guys were all independants, and not truly part of the guild.)

I did get the following gun camera footage of the combat, as things started going seriously badly for Ocean.

Finally, a member of the Mandalorians came along and helped finish this guy off, although where he was during most of the combat, I'm not sure.

The Gaian apparently needed a bath - from his escape pod he complained of the smell inside. I had to laugh - it probably was his OWN smell.

The BAF was investigating whether or not the Gaian was using neutron bombs - nukes - during the combat - when I landed on New London for the night.
