Guild Wars sucks. It used to be one of the best PvP games around, the metagamers ruined it and moved on.
As far as the PvE, its decent but not nearly as good as WoW IMHO.
the level 20 cap is fine, you wont be getting a complete endgame ensamble anytime soon after reaching level 20.
I do like the hero system, but for the uber dungeons/loot you need real people.
There is also a few exploits that have been in the game since it was released that unbalance the economy rather badly, one or 2 humans can solo a certain 'dungeon' that has the highest dollar loot drop.
Overall it is an alright game, it was worlds better when there was a lot of decent pvp.
I have a level 20 of every possible class and 3 accounts. I've had it since beta.
oh and BTW the levelcap on guild wars will always be 20. period. In Gw 2 the level cap will be 100 but 21-100 will be cosmetic only. Thats directly from the dev team.
3 accounts?! o.o but yet the game sucks? well, i suppose if you play it forever and stuff. Anyway, i played wow alot, i had a lvl 70 warrior, lvl 60 rogue and several othes under lvl 40 the game was ok, but its boring to quest alone all thre time, hence the reason i like the henchmen on GW so much

As I said it was once one of the best PvP games around till the metagamers raped it. Fame actually meant something back in the day, skill. But the nubs got jealous so they made it so everyone could get it, and that ruined being able to find a group.
I've actually played with rank 12 IWAY. for those of you that never played GW rank 12 is something like 22000 fame, which is one point per win +1 consecutive, and iway is an exploit. That means someone exploited the game for thousands of hours to make it look as if they are a master, but if you play with them their skill level will be 0.

Well, i have no idea what you're talking about. i don't even know where you go to pvp
But, i'm playing it right now as a pve game. and i love all the little evil looking things i can use on my necromancer. Never find things like that in wow.
I play it as well, casually. I never do Guild Battles because they have a too much "serious" feel about them. Other forms of PVP are more fun, also because the builds are more variable so you don't always know what to expect. Currently I'm using a SS necro, a disrupt/condition spreading ranger, an earth elementalist and a warrior.
i used to play it. im pro. i have 6 lvl 20 chars. all epic gear and elite skills.
my favourite PvE char is an elementalist mesmer that uses a grand combo of immortality.
combo:
mantra that makes all received earth damage give me a mana boost.
earth spell that makes all attack against you of earth type.
2 shield spells that combined give 100% damage reduction. + a ward that makes it impossible to knock you down.
and Shockwave.....classic 1 shot melee kill.
My elementalist is 100% immune to melee attacks and very resistant to range and nuke.
the only downside is that in pvp, rangers and mesmers bring you down too easy.
but for PvE there is 100% no better build. You can solo all instances without range-attacking monsters, no prob.
