I'm all for having more Outcasts in the Taus...you're supposed to be involved in the Bret-Kusari war, as well as it being a major Cardamine route...

...that being said, join an official faction, and apply to their leaders to get yourself/a group of friends into the taus, or even just go there...it's within your ZoI after all.

Oh, and your name really makes me cringe whenever you log on/off/die/kill...but, then, I am a bit of a purist when it comes to names...

I like the thought of getting Outcasts into their ZOIs outside of Alpha and the Omicrons.

I agree that the name is silly. Fine as a forum handle but on the server, representing a faction, it should be more thought out. I am not one to give crap about names unless they are really offensive (and apparently there are names on this forum that rub me wrong but not others so I really only get in uproar if it is obviously offensive).

There are a lot of Outcast factions. Perhaps you could work with one of the existing ones, hell, they might be looking for new leaders. Anyhow, once in an established faction you could start getting those players to play in other areas instead of trying to struggle as a new faction.

The idea of an Outcast group based around Cali base is a good one. Details might need polishing, but I don't think you need to join an official faction for that.

I agree with Monk here. The Tau23 system does need a stronger Outcast presence around Cali base. Perhaps talking with the leaders of the RoS or the 101st about a specialized squadron of their faction to cover just the Cali Base area and the surrounding Taus. The opportunity for RP is immense, since the =CR= maintain a substantial force there, and it's also a main distribution center for the Orange Dream.
Cali does need to be protected, and it's rare to see PC Outcasts there for any length of time. Most are hanging around Malta waiting for something to happen.
It would also make a good staging ground for hit and run raids to the outlying systems.

My 2 cents.

RoS Flagg out.

You blame me for my silence, say Its time I changed and grew.
But the war's still going on dear, and theres no end that I know...

Just to add one thing: We would act according to commands and decisions by the Council of Dons. if they are given. Maybe the other outcasts would take this for granted, other players might not, so I wrote it.

I don't think that it's that easy to just join one of the old factions and make them moving where I myself see a lack of outcasts.

The 101st command structure is(now) very level headed, and willing to listen I'm sure.

is this from the same bunch of people who fly around in their MNS-whatever ships in alpha all day as well? If so, then no. While spelling out that you would follow the council of dons (which was NOT obvious to all), your general lack of maturity (evident in several spots), complete lack of conventions when spelling out a new faction, and general "I want a faction too!" feel makes me want to shut this down quick.

Some of your ideas are good. Expanding the Outcast presence from hiding in alpha all day to actually venturing out elsewhere, to flying the little scimitars instead of your Huegonots all the time, gives rise to the well-thought of suggestion of asking for a seperate wing w/in the RoS.

I would hope a switch to fighters is in the works. Cap ships in tau-23 turn to mincemeat in the rocks

That's a standard Outcast (player) capital ship designation. My destroyer, MNS-Phantasm, isn't anywhere near Alpha - it's at our base in Newcastle. It is not as far as I know an organized group at all.

That said, it's good to see our other bases getting some attention. I must admit I've been neglecting Cape Wrath a bit lately myself (not like anyone wants to go to that system without using the trade lanes...) None of the official factions do much at Cali, so I do see some room for this. A specific equipment list would be a big help, even if it does just say you use Scimitars, Sabres, and Falcatas with Outcast guns.

I do still have an issue with your ship name, but that's been addressed by just about everyone else. Everyone else seems to have addressed individual concerns, but I'll re-read this later when I'm a bit more focused.

The MNS means Maltise Naval Ship And each one is indevidual captain of its ship .
if you noticed some " lack of maturity " in some MNS dont deem them all

now to joinng to existing faction:

as existing factions have their own chain of command and do things according to policy that was decided before

The situation in 23 require new blood and we are here to provide it.
this place need more attention now as some might noticed.
we are forming to help outcasts to take the load of alpha.

♠ Because we can ♠
