About the faction idea - Persistence, perseverance and extreme patience will pay off. Disco, as you might have already gathered, tends to attack or.... scrutinise - new faction ideas with a vengeance - which, if you survive it, can only make your idea awesome... or burn you out and send you running.
That being said, its not personal - this is an established community with established Roles, places, Factions etc etc and people are generally defensive against new things sometimes - bear with it, once you have gone though the maelstrom you might just get your faction.
One thing that you need to be aware of... and to be honest, a complete awareness of this is almost impossible without serious consultation with older members of the community is the established Role Play and conventions that already exist on the server.
Corsairs and CR - well, firstly CR have their own established RP which is long and extensive and as you want to share/fight over turf with them i would read up on it - they have been here, in various forms, for quite a while - however, Corsairs and the CR have a long standing informal, and more recent formal treaty of cooperation signed and negotiated by the recognized authorities of both factions:
which might be worth knowing about - so your guys dont start screaming "ZOMG OORP!!" when you see Corsair vessels in your backyard from time to time - OR... CR vessels with Corsair guns.
Goodluck with it!
First thing first
Thank you For not showering us with why "not to", as many others have chosen to.
The Corsair =CR= treaty is already known to me and i should have checked my facts before i

:P
As you said and as we already realized CCS will have to work hard to get approved and accepted by the community. Our intention Is to make tau-23 more interesting as well help the Outcast in general to take a little load of Alpha... (Guess repeating myself)
Thank you again for the post it is always helps to hear what others think to get the bigger picture

With regards to the CCS, I applaud your decision to fly only scimitars. I myself am a scimmy pilot, and although others scorn it, it's probably my favorite vanilla ship, and until the next mod release, will remain my favorite fighter.
I know it has been changed thanks for letting me know

As far as I, and several others can see, you are doing quite well.
All of your craft are will within the RP bounds, and reps are proper.
For that, kudos!
Some minor things that you may wish to address though.
#1 Please don't accuse people of being capwhores in system chat.
The LNS-Reliant is my only capital ship at this time, and I only engaged because the others were getting mildly sick of dogfighting.
#2 Killing NPCs in fight to get bots/bats
While fine every once in a while, your main combat strategy should not be to obliterate every ship in range for scrap.
Keep up the good work!

LPI-Jack.Sawyer[O] here, nice fight in California. You guys RP'd very nicely as me and my wingmate Ken swept the system for you. You might wanna look at fully kitting out your boys, though, as one fighter had no armor.
Other than that, from what I've seen it all looks good so far.

I agree with you and i was with the person who did it in the Voice chat i told him right away it was wrong he knows not to do that again now ....

As you might have noticed (Hope you did you were so huge and we so little :D) We use light fighters there were 8 or more heavy fighters on your side including Navy and police (LPI) (LN).
if you don't have patience you shouldn't engage at all, caps are needed to defend when there is something equal on the other side or at east one cap ship (even lower class).
Fighters is what you take to a real battle field and it does take time to finish one of those. this wasnt fair and not fun for us and probably not for those who was on your side that enjoy fighting us.
you had numbers and the uper hand A battleship was not needed.
' Wrote:#2 Killing NPCs in fight to get bots/bats
there was one NPC killed and it wasn't for bots it was wrong targeting as you had many Navy and Police fighting us (4 light fighters)
' Wrote:While fine every once in a while, your main combat strategy should not be to obliterate every ship in range for scrap.
not i feel you should take this part back as our actions there was not to "obliterate every ship in range for scrap." this part was the Battleships job:D
We came to pirate as outcasts should do
We were spotted by police and were engaged you had the advantage from the start numbers and ship class.
We weer roll playing our part in trying to get away, fight to get away in one piece and with the loot.
so i really hope you don't say that our part was to do this pointless action on a role play server we not here to PVP. and using our ships is a proof to what i say.
i got a little offended by this presumption you make about us.
one last thing we did finish it in our role and one pilot stayed behind to provide coverage while he leader got away he did get back to cali alive with all the loot and pods of fellow CCS.
it was fun while it lasted:)
hope we can do it again soon no caps this time i don't think it is needed to fight light fighters or any type of a fighter.
