I voted NO cause dear Laowai used metagaming in order to sabotage our roleplay with the keepers.
The way I saw it, he used a character to roleplay obtaining information for the Corsairs which wasn't even released to the rest of Sirius like I (and no doubt many others) have been expecting. I thought this Keeper - OC roleplay thing was meant to trigger a reaction all across Sirius? Laowai's thread on that was IMO rather well done and documented, but anyhow...

He still used an outcast tagged character to take screenshots and presented them as something his character got with the sole purpose of sending flames our way and to ruin roleplay, so yeah.

It hardly matters how "well presented" it is, for it is still metagaming in the end... Something of which should be taken into account when concidering who should, and should not, be admins.

And this old crap will cease now please, or you can pick your coats up on the way to the door.
Mindless arguments concerning one event ? I'm rather sad the 101st has come to this, and to
be honest, if this is the shape of things, I'm glad I'm out of it.

101st never said anything, individuals did. Please don't use my faction name here as members that posted here expressed their opinion, not the faction opinion.

One could argue that screens openly taken by SCRA, no disguises, yet ignored by Outcasts was a powerplay too, really.

This is ridiculous. Just because you don't like his approach to one story doesn't make him unfit to be an admin. Different strokes, different folks.

And further more, a singular event as it may be, it demonstrates to what leagues the aforementioned individual is willing to go to "mess things up" for another faction, which makes it quite relevant to this discussion.

It's a forum, after all, and this thread is here to discuss why he should, or should not, become an admin.

Voted yes, though hardly it matters anyway. I know Ben, perhaps not as good as others here, but to a degree. In a certain sense I'm glad there were misunderstandings along the path long time ago, it has shown how the person is able to deal with them and take a step to look at the different angles on the situation and change the opinion based on the new findings.

Making threats to boot some one out the door for stating their concerns and opinions is no way to fairly determine an important decision that will impact all on Discovery. Also persecuting an entire faction for 1 members opinion is also in very bad form. You don't know how the rest have voted, why single them out because 1 member has an opinion & concerns that he felt he should bring out openly as he believes this may effect the candidates judgment as an admin later down the line.

Myself, I don't know Laowai well enough to vote either way at this point. Only met him a few times in battle & know he is a damn good fighter pilot, has good RP & see him alot in the forums. The more info I see posted, the more I learn, the easier it will make my choice.

As I don't know the fella so well I shall abstain. For some reason I tend to think voting for someone in this manner means you take responsibility for their actions and in fact want the things they will do whether they be beneficial or not. Not that I am slagging anyone here just kind of thinking about the culpability of someone who voted for something that turned out bad.

Apologies Jura, that was a little unnecessary from me, but I suggest you reel your members in as
they appear to be talking as a faction, and as Outcasts on the whole, and in this thread it is entirely
unnecessary. This is not about Corsairs versus Outcasts ... This is a little more serious than a long
standing roleplay server war, and if certain people cannot part RP from reality, then we are in a
spot of bother ...
