It wasn't my idea! My roommate was watching it a few days ago and I couldn't help but notice the epic fail... the next thing I know I had watched the whole thing in all its facepalming glory.



EDIT: And you've probably never seen Gamera. Now THAT was weird. Giant flying turtle that shoots fireballs.... that, at one point, Falcon Punches a giant squid <strike>rapist</strike> monster when he doesn't even have a hand. The resulting explosion obliterates the surrounding buildings, yet our intrepid heroes (okay, they aren't so intrepid; actually, they're sort of retarded) magically survive beneath the wreckage and say a few more dumb lines about the world energy and how Gamera protects humanity (another great scene; little kid says "Gamera protected me!" and it pans to the massive craters where he just shot his fireballs in an attempt to kill some bird thing). It must be the same way that the Improved Evasion ability works in Dungeons and Dragons; a place can be completely filled with rocks and stuff, but you can basically spot-dodge and take no damage... even if there is nowhere to dodge to. Now that's weird.
