Actually that statement is false. My battleship runs 8 solaris turrets and they can fire anywhere in a 360 degree circle around my ship (only four can fire top, and four can fire bottom tho) I fought The Hand Of Payne (McNeo's destroyer) and he was able to drop my shield before I could kill him. Infact thanks to his manuvering (can't hit a fast moving cruiser with inferno's/BR very well) I had to use solaris chainguns the entire fight and he got my Battleship nearly to half health before I died.

I was talking to Wolfpack about bombers the other day and he informed me Black Squadron isn't allowed to use the Rheinland Bomber even though it is sold by our Allies the Corsairs, so in light of that I went to make a bomber to compete with the Rheinland bomber.
The Bomber is a B-Wing bomber from star wars

As you can see in the image it will go pretty well in the Freelancer universe based on it's textures.

Order Strike Bomber
The manufacture of this craft is unknown, however it is being reproduced by the Order to combat the increase in Nomad activty in the Omicrons. This bomber is powerful but lacks in a few regards Hugely compared to the Rheinland bomber by it's pilots the vessel has dramaticly decreased protection but the it boasts a pair of extra class 9 weapons mounts in comparison to it's competition. Overall the Order Strike Bomber is a sturdy and devestating craft.
Weapons: 6/2 (9,9,10,10,10,10,t7,t7)
Armor: 16800 (Rheinland is 21800, 5k Difference)
Nanobots/Batteries: 135/135 (10 Less than Rheinland)
Cargo: 140 (20more than Rheinland Bomber)
Manuvering: Manuverability is equal to Rheinland bomber.
Please note I claim no creative right to this ship it is Property of Porsche and was available to download on Lancers Reactor here. My only claim is to stat changes for the Discovery mod and balancing and comparison.
Update: I have already sent Porsche an email requesting permission to use the bomber in the mod so once I get a reply (Hopefully yes) all Igiss will need to do is approve and hopefully only do minor tweaks accordingly.

Above bomber would have 2 torp mounts.
Fromt he short time I used the Taiidan it has insane manuverability stats but I prefer to have the raw power of a bomber and pass on the manuverability.
Outcast destroyer strafes at a speed of about 160. Thus making a fight against an even minimally armed one, pointless. They can't be killed because they dodge everything short of solaris and Order turrets.
I'm sorry, not on for a while, and this becomes a Starwars mod. Did I miss something ?
Last time I looked, this was a complete Freelancer mod, not lots of Starwars ships for
the benefit of one faction only.

Well, if you do put that little B-wign in there, modify it abit and make it look less starwars and more freelancer, and yea the Outcast HUgenot is the best all around ship for strafing like you said Dab. When McNeo and I fought, He didnt hit me once with his inferno cannons as I could just dodge them.
And U helghast use the tiidanian bomber and its pretty nice, jsut wish it had one more topedo slot.
About the taiidan bomber, the infocard say it's got 2 mounts, if it hasn't and people have been using it why haven't they posted about it?
Just to make sure people know which one I mean, the taiidan bomber is the white one, the only other bomber I know of is the kushan one which is brown and has always been agile and had one torpedo mount.

Hoodlum has got a point, we've got alot of ships in the mod which never get used, or get used by one player only.
Plus this mod is suppose to expand on the look and feel of vanilla FL, not add aload of unFL stuff, isn't it?
I think that not adding anymore ships and possibly removing a few of those that are unused would be better then adding more ships that might or might not be used.
